Cordially lion went in saying roar to Anna the worker and she gave us burritos and chicken quesadilla with a bonus coffee and coke.
She went above and beyond anybody else. Arctic circle chased us away.

I recently dined at El Farol, a fantastic Mexican restaurant, and the experience was truly delightful! The vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and, most importantly, the delicious food made it a memorable evening. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors, showcasing the skillful preparation and high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend trying their guacamole – it's a game-changer!

This place was awesome, it has a hole in the wall feel but the food was really good. I had a chimichanga with carnitas and it was excellent. Chips came out warm and the salsa is tasty. I love this type of Mexican food. The prices are good and show that they use high quality products.

Our server was very attentive and took care of us. She kept our drinks full and everything felt like they wanted to make us happy. I asked for extra cheese and that is exactly what I got. This place does it right!

This place is a hidden gem. The carne asada is real carne asada. Not too sure about the carnitas but everything else was delicious. The thing that separates this place is the customer service. Spot on with everything throughout dinner service. They brought stuff out without us even having to ask. That’s a 10/10 in my book.

This restaurant, has been in Midvale for a very long time. I remember when it was on state street. I'm 67 and I remember El Farol when I was a teenager. Been going there or to the drive in across the street for 50 years!!! I miss the old recipe for SMOTHERING my burrito or enchilada! But everything is still perfect... Especially

Good for a well flavored greasy Mexican meal but I seldom go there because the prices are way too high now.

I've been coming here for over 30 years. Amazing family business with classic Mexican recipes. I'd recommend shredded beef chimichanga plate. Also, it may sound odd but get a full order of "bean dip." There's no dipping with this appetizer but you'll love it. It's my family's favorite.

I have been going here since I was a little girl. This place has the best Mexican food in the state (imo). The service is exceptional, they make you feel like you're having dinner with family, chips always fresh, salsa warm and delicious, I could go on and on. Please give them a try. Xoxo

I've been living in Utah since 2020 & looking for food similar to what we have in Texas, specifically enchiladas. I've tried enchiladas all over salt lake and the sauce is never good. Today me and my family visited El farol and I could almost cry because of how good the enchiladas are! The red sauce was perfect 👌 my kids & husband enjoyed their food, beans & rice on point. We will be back!!

I am a lover of Mexican food! I will say that disappointment has been an issue. Until this place I would 200% of the time prefer to eat from a taco truck. Try it. Decide for yourself.

This is the OG Mexican restaurant in the Valley since the late 60s, family owned and operated all these decades, serving up a delicious combination of Mexican and Mexican-American fare. ¡Gracias Tío Rafael!

Good food! Fun atmosphere. We tried the habanero lemonade and were very impressed! The fried ice cream was great. Definitely coming back.

This restaurant has very good authentic Mexican food. I had two cheese enchiladas and they were very good. Their chips and salsa are delicious. They are decently priced and the staff are very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant.

I used to work here as a kid. I love the way they do their tacos.

I love the food here, I always get the Chile Verde and it never disappoints. This is the first time I have been here in years so it was nice to see things have not changed. When we still lived in the Salt Lake Valley we ate here at least 3 times a week starting way back in the early 1980s at the original location.

After several years of not visiting El Farol, I went back, a good decision I made. Good place, good service and most importantly, good Mexican food... I must go back for more dishes.

I've been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years, ever since I was a young child, and it never disappoints! The food is ALWAYS on point, tastes great and gives you a feeling of authenticity. I would totally recommend getting the "bean dip" appetizer to start your meal with. (It's more than just your average bean dip)

Everyone I've ever taken here seems to really enjoy this place as much as my family and I do, and I couldn't recommend this place enough! 5 STARS 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
