West Regional Library

I have been doing a lot of reading since I retired in 2018. I was buying books online (discounted) but was spending on average of $25 for 5 books including shipping. After reading, I sell them on Poshmark. My neighbor reads at least a book a day and only gets her books from the library. I made a new commitment to take her with me as an outing to regularly go and check out books. I have been three times so far two times to check out books and once to return them. I have been able to find 2 or 3 books that I want to read. I always go with a list of 6 or more to look for to read. So, why buy books when you can borrow them? Its convenient and easy. 📚

Great library!!! I love the layout of the library. It's a 2 story library where you have a lot of of books on the first floor as well as on the second floor. What I liked the most was the study area on the second floor. It was exactly what I needed to get some studying done and if I need a break they have a place downstairs where you can get a bit to eat and get some coffee as well.

As for some of the previous reviews I saw for this library as of right now this is what I see. This place looks and feels safe. There is security walking around in the building just like in any other Broward County library. It's very quiet and easy to get some studying in. There is no bad smell on the first or second floor. You also see plenty of staff working and within a few seconds of walking in here I was already approached and asked if I needed some help. There are also people cleaning the library as I am writing this making sure the trash cans are clean and tables are free of books for others to sit down and use. Maybe those people came on a bad day here at the library but I recommend this library and I will be back here again.

Excellent place for the whole family. They have something for everyone. Insanity workouts are great! Very friendly librarians and the activities are well organize and accesible.

The last time I was here I could not enter because it was close on Sunday, but this time I had the opportunity to enter it was really nice. I went there to donate some books and it was amazing. The staff where really helpful and give the information that I needed.

Love coming here when I need a place to focus. Incredibly quiet but you still hear the sounds of pages turning and the soft typing of people on the computers, so if you like that kind of comfy ambiance this place is perfect! It’s super bright and open and they have a ton of places to sit, with a nice pond with tons of iguanas and ducks to watch while reading. They also have small rooms which a free to reserve, and they’re super silent.

All floor is carpet underlay to wood chairs move smoothly without noise. You will see a beautiful nature as a lake with green grass, birds, tortoises and squirrels through all glass walls. All the knowledge acquired the exquisite experience will make you comeback.
The security guard is polite and strict, so be prepared to face him if you don't wear you mask, mask is mandatory in Covid19 pandemic.

Had a great time doing my photoshop teaching course and enjoyed the peace and quiet. I wish they had more plugs or table for the grown adults.

Every since being living in Broward County last year, this was honestly a go-to and favorite library unless I am on a time restriction via bus traveling. Easy access, upstairs section with plenty of room, more than one study room and even a conference room - even walking distance to Broward Mall and a Barnes & Noble - worth being in this library no matter what. As kind of a library connoisseur, I approve of this library.

Great library with a lot of facilities. Tutors can be a bit noisy in study areas so come prepared.

Update, June 2023, yep still noisy with no attempt by the staff to control it. Kind of dysfunctional.

I love to read a good book. The feel of the pages is comforting. The West Regional Library is clean and feels like a safe home. You can sit and read for hours. Librarians are always helpful and friendly.

Very enjoyable. I went to the monthly book club. Great book. Great group of people. Refreshments were provided as well...

I haven't been to a library for years. However this location was very spacious, staff was so helpful and kind. They have much more than books, the librarian told me you can rent tablets, workout equipment, take classes online and much more.

I had a great experience at this branch. Last week I took my 14 yr old daughter to search for a book to help her study for a test. We previously searched online at many book stores and all the Broward County libraries without avail. We made our last stop here at this branch and Kara, who was at the young adult section made our day! she went above and beyond to be helpful and kind... we need more librarians like her! she is a great asset to your library. Thank you Kara for your Kindness and help.....we appreciated you.

We couldn't be more grateful for the staff at this library. Before Covid-19 we would take our biweekly trip there to get a stack of children's books. And now thanks to the staff we can still do that. My 3 year old misses going inside, but curbside pickup is great.

Very spacious, well kept and equipped library. Has very knowledgeable, professional and helpful staff. Has very strictly observed CoVid prevention protocols currently. Great library for a quiet day to relax and in a great central location. One of the better libraries in Broward County.

It’s a very nice, quaint library that is great to spend time at. They have a cafe and a gift shop that sells coffee and other misc. items. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they have so many free activities like Zumba, book clubs, crafting, coloring clubs, and SAT prep classes. They also sell books at the front of the building for as low as $0.50! They also have a lot of summer volunteering options for high school students.

I have been to several Broward County libraries and sometimes the service can be spotty. I had the pleasure of going to the west regional library in plantation and I was delighted by the service. Guy the librarian help me find several books he was very professional and nice. He was very patient while I fumbled around looking for the names of the books. At check out Susan and Carole work great. They were very nice and helpful. They even help me download the Library app. It is a pleasure seeing people that take pride in their work. Congratulations. Best Library hands-down.
