Mundi's Italian Restaurant

I had very high expectations because the place was packed with a line out the door when we came on a Thursday. This place beat them. Everything from the bread to the salad to the entrees was delicious. The shrimp scampi that I ordered was fantastic. The only thing I could slightly fault them on was the atmosphere because the place was so full that we ended up having to sit outside.

It’s perfect for families gathering, I went with my fiancé and we felt it was a little active with kids and their families. Delicious food and excellent service.

Date night with my boo, excellent family atmosphere, families enjoying their dining along with us. The owners daughter of this family owned restaurant treated us to an excellent and absolutely delicious dinner. Plenty of soft warm bread with olive oil to dip, which was heavenly. Wifey was treated to an extra spicy spaghetti, chicken parmesana, specially treated by the owner that she will not stop raving about. I myself had the cheese ravioli with a special meatball, amazing flavor with the Marinara sauce, so so good. We truly enjoyed our experience in this quaint little place that has been around for 18 years. Thank you again for the excellent service and food. Try it out.

My husband always makes sure to take me here for dinner when we are in town from NY. The calamari is the best I ever had. Delicious.

All I can say is WOW this has the best the best Italian restaurant in whole town. My boyfriend and I came here after being stranded at the airport and were greeted by the kindest staff. The food was amazing the vibes are so warm and welcoming. A family restaurant that truly makes you feel like family.

We have ate there several times and the food and service has always been excellent. I have never reviewed it before so I thought I should. Started with the Broccoli Rabe with sausage and it was delicious. Best garlic bread I have ever had. For dinner ordered the Pork Parmigiana which was one of the specials and it was terrific.
Restaurant is a small family owned business so make sure you call and make reservations on the busier nights

What a gem! The hospitality had us from the start! The owner/chef came out and spoke to everyone who came in! We had the meatball & ricotta appetizer....so delicious! And our entrees, amazing! We had the spicy caldo and the veal piccata! Both were absolutely amazing! The portions are alao very large, giving us plenty for lunch tomorrow!

Was headed to Jaxson's for dinner, it was so crowded we decided to look around the area for a restaurant and stumbled across this hidden gem. The owner made room to accommodate us, which we were thankful for. It feels like a family owned spot. The waitress (middle aged lady) was pleasant, funny, just seemed like a genuinely nice person with a awesome attitude. Food was great, drinks were great. You can't go wrong with this restaurant. We've already made plans to return.

Great food, wonderful staff, fantastic atmosphere!! This is a regular spot for me and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys good Italian food.

Pre-show dinner ... Everything was great. We started with salad and stuffed mushrooms. Then we shared eggplant Parm which came with a side of pasta. Service was attentive. They had a full house and we never felt ignored.

We've been coming here for years and it's nothing but excellent service and amazing Food! Big portions, fresh, homemade and we are both Italian! We love coming here.. Donata is the best! Make sure you get the spicy calamari!

Delicious food and very attentive Staff. Our first time there, we’ve recommended to others and we’ll certainly return. It’s across from the Casino at Dania Beach and is very convenient when attending a Show.

Amazing food 10 out of 10 for 27 years they've been the best restaurant in Dania Beach and honestly the best Italian food you can get in broward , the staff treats you like family the place is clean as a whistle. It's the best dining experience you can get. so if you want great Italian food and you want the feel like you're part of the family go to Mundis !

This place is great! Extremely friendly and fantastic food. I like everything I have tried so I will simply discuss my last meal. I had the rack of lamb special that had a mushroom sauce on it. Absolutely packed with flavor and spot on. I also almost always order the special calamari….It’s traditional calamari but with a fantastic sauce on top. I tried the highly recommended chicken parmigiana, as expected, it did not disappoint. You really can’t go wrong and there is nothing better than being treated great when you spend money to go out to eat. I highly recommend Mundi’s.

I have eaten here many many times over the years and it never disappoints. Big portions, delicious sauce and homemade desserts. The spicy calamari is a must.

Truly, a no-frills place with barely 10 tables. That said, I challenge you to go anywhere in the United States ANYWHERE, and find better fried calamari. Note that this dish is pretty spicy and if you are a spicy food lover, do not leave without ordering this appetizer. The portion is huge and good enough for dinner with a side of any pasta. My husband had the special which was a pork Parmesan. So huge, he could’ve fed the next table over. You can bring your own expensive bottle of wine and pay a nominal corkage fee since the wine list does leave a little bit to be desired. The only reason I say that is that the food is so amazing, it’s a sin not to have fantastic wine with it. One of the best things about this place is familiar faces. This past weekend Will finally hung it up and retired. We felt so lucky to be able to wish him the best of luck. Every single person that walked in the door was a regular. That says it all.

Excellent food and service. My daughter and mom are both celiac and the restaurant did a great job verifying with the kitchen and reassuring us about the ingredients in what they ordered. We will definitely be back soon.

These people take Italian food seriously. If not family owned then very close friends owned. The staff was very attentive, helpful and accommodating to my large party.

This place is a hidden gem and must see! The food is fresh, homemade Italian food! Service, ambiance, real family owned and operated Italian place.... big portions... love it!
