PPG Paint Store

I went to buy paint this week and I was surprised by the attention and kindness of the staff (Steve) WOW! quite different from my previous experiences. I'm glad to see the kindness is back, like back in the days when they used to be on Clayton Rd. I highly recommend this brand and this location.

Wow...when I went into the store I didn't really know much but when I left I felt like I let with a little knowledge. The staff there is really helpful and really seems to care about the customers. Would recommend to anyone that wants good paint and good advice.

I came in here because paint supplies have been in low stock and I wanted some help picking out some specific paint colors for a mural I was working on. I was really impressed with the woman that helped me pick out the right paint colors to match what I had designed. Only one color she picked turned out to be much brighter than I wanted. But I mixed some of the other blues with it and it worked out.
They also had paint shipped from other stores to fulfill my order and had it ready in 24-48 hours. You can see the final project photos in my post

Rude and unprofessional. The website and the sign on the door clearly state that they are open until 6 PM. We arrived at 5pm yesterday and they were closed. I called today and they said they closed at 5pm despite their own signage. Later my husband called to ask a question and a rude man told him that our job was too small to help us and that we would need to go to the another location. Even though the paint cans that the previous house owner had used came from that exact location.

I bought exterior paint in a standard PPG color from a different PPG location 14 months ago and needed another gallon this year. I took a picture of the tag on the can that stated the color and had all of the PPG mixing information on it. The guy at the counter told me the type of paint I had was too old and couldn't possibly be matched without bringing in something painted he could scan. Apparently, the base paint had changed and was slightly different, which I completely understand since I also work in the coating business and know how hard the supply chain has been hit this last year. It would have been so easy for the guy to say, I'm sorry Sir, but our paint has changed and you should expect to see a slight difference in hue, and maybe taken the time to explain what he had offer in the new line of paints. Instead he blamed me 3 separate times that this was my fault for trying to match a formula I had just bought 14 months earlier. The color was literally in their book of colors on the counter and my paint matches the standard color in their color book so he could have literally scanned the color strait out of the book. As a customer when I buy a standard color from what is supposed to be a professional paint store I fully expect them to be able to match that color for many years to come. I don't care if the base paint has changed it's PPG's responsibility to update the colorimeter database to compensate for the base change. I won't go through the entire story, but I was also buying a gallon of primer too, which they also no longer had and it was my fault for asking for something so old and that they had stopped caring it "forever ago," again I bought it 14 months ago and the official PPG still shows Seal Coat as the exterior primer PPG sells. Not only did this turn me off from this store, but PPG brand as a whole. There are just too many better options with better paint and better customer service.

I referred my client here. Not only...was they rude to her...they were rude to me. I am completely done w using Porter Paints. Second store in a week they were ride. Find better employees. These two older gentleman hate their jobs along with the customers they serve. Soooooo horrible!!!!!

Not very friendly. They got my order wrong and they blame the customer.

Was working on the qdoba rooftop next door. I noticed a big issue with their rooftop unit and the guy answering the phone basically ignored my warning that they needed a repair guy asap....they're going to be mad when there's no A.C. bc they didn't listen

Was just told by retailer he was too busy to help me decide on paints...there wasn't anyone in the store besides myself.
