Yes it's expensive but the food is very good. The portions are reasonably good too.

We shared the cantonese clams and got the pork chop & blackened salmons as our mains. The clam portion was a bit underwhelming but the flavor was there for sure.

Staying true to my new leaf on life, we were able to visit one of my oldest and dearest friend, Beth Davisson and her family in Nantucket before our vacation on the Cape started. With all of us being foodies we went to this amazing restaurant for dinner. Ozzie Pardilla and I actually went to culinary school together so we always have fun "speaking food" together.
Usually I'm not a fan of fruit in a vinaigrette form but the pink peppercorns balanced it beautifully. I highly recommend the Nantucket oysters with rhubarb mignonette! I'll take 5 to 20 more please😎
One of my favorite presentations these days is table side pours. This summer corn bisque reminded me of Sean Hutchinson BWC shrimp and corn chowder but with crab and then blended. Extremely silky and smooth
I wasn't able to try this gorgeous beet dish with a goat cheese smear and the option of balsamic or red sorrel vinaigrette because of the pistachios but it was enjoyed by all others.
Crispy and tender calamari were precisely placed on a light basil aioli and accompanied by tasty treats one of which neither Ozzie Pardilla nor I could identify but loved....I need to know!
This picture does not do this justice, apologies! Tender lobster rested on the most perfectly prepared zucchini and mushroom risotto with pea shoots and preserved lemon. This is an appetizer but it eats like a meal. ❤
It was suggested by a wise young foodie that I order the halibut of steak so I did. This attractive dish complimented the halibut with a delicate coconut and lemongrass broth while adding texture and crunch with bok choy and wax beans. Well played young Padawan (Ava), well played.
Sean ordered the steak (allowing me to enjoy both recommendations) which normally is served with blue cheese but he asked for that on the side. Ok so what could be better than bearnaise aioli AND fois gras jus with your steak? Duck fat fries! Seriously...fantastic!🥰

Cozy and intimate.
This is one of my 2 favorite restaurants in Nantucket.
The atmosphere is amazing. Second floor gives you more privacy. Garden is great for the summer nights.
My favorite is that they changing the menu depending of the season, they have daily specials and the best you can have a half of dinner entrée.
Drinks are great and they also can make you some that are not included at the menu.

The experience was great! The food tastes good, the flavors are interesting and well a balanced. The plating and presentation were exceptional. I love how the plate is not crowded and well arranged! Our server was attentive. Desserts need improvement.

Excellent! From the cocktails all the way through to dessert, everything was great. Friendly, attentive service and delicious food. The Vegetarian Tasting plate was a standout.

How you Dune! Great meal at the outside bar. Shrimp tostado was amazing. Tuna with rice was one of the best dishes I have ever had. A must visit when on Nantucket.

These guys know what they’re doing. Consistently great dinner, everyone satisfied (party of 5!). Very fresh menu. Drinks great too. Highly recommended if you’re in the area. Will be back to do the vegan tasting menu.

Such a cute and cozy restaurant! The scallops were incredible, highly recommend. We also had the special pork belly tostadas which were out of this world! Service was speedy and attentive. We will definitely be back.

We had a fabulous dinner of scallops and halibut the server Martin knew exactly what we needed before we asked. Perfect evening.

Very attentive staff, beautifully presented meal selections prepared to perfection. Courses were staged perfectly, so there was no rush and no extended waiting, so we were able to relax and enjoy!

Awesome food and ambiance, wish they do something nice if you have a special occasion like other restaurants but other then that is fantastic there

Outstanding meal at the bar. Great knowledgeable friendly bartender with amazing drinks to start the night. Our dinner was creative, visually appealing and tastes amazing. Each plate looks like a modern painting- wow! Our party enjoyed every dish but some highlights :
- raw grey lady oysters with rhubarb mignonette - the sauce was unusual in that it had a creamy texture while still delivering the traditional slightly sweeter mignonette taste. Very plumb good sized oysters
- house cured gravlax with crispy rice crackers. loved the textures and tastes. We fought over this dish!
- halibut: one side was perfectly crispy and the other side was light flaky perfectly cooked- just on the side of done. The coconut lemongrass broth was so light and flavorful. Just fun to eat
- pork chops. My husband loved this cooked to medium. Juicy, flavorful. Quite a filling meal.
- sea scallops With risotto was a hit!
- must get: chocolate pot de creme. Sinful!

Can’t wait to visit again!!

We had an amazing time tonight with friends. Dining at the Dune is relaxing and calming as you kick back and enjoy a cocktail or nice glass of wine. Menu is small filled with something for anyone. Our meals ware presented individually to us with a nice plated visual arrangement. The food was so very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Staff very attentive and friendly. This is a nice upscale place. Stop in and enjoy.

The restaurant was cozy and intimate. The food was top notch. Our service was perfect. Would highly recommend.

2023: Okay... we are back and forth here. This year, we had a delicious meal. We went with the steak and the chicken. Both were very well executed. We were less enthusiastic about the appetizers, but we did get a very good bottle of red and a reasonable mark-up. Back to being high on our short list!

2022: Whoops, rewind the tapes. After being big advocates of Dune last year, I'm reversing back to my historical posture on this venue. Entrees are now all above $50. Quality of the food has declined while the prices have risen. We spent $300 for the two of us and left hungry -- and headed for pizza! Disappointing.

2021: What a fun evening! I had a mixed impression of Dune from past meals, but we were blown away. The food was far superior to our other dining experiences on the island this season -- best meal of the summer. (We had the steak and the ramen bowl.) We sat at the bar with Megan and Lexie and enjoyed great conversation and a fun evening. We are headed back soon!

We loved the food, which was packed with flavor. Every dish was different, but similarly delicious- the Garlic shrimp app and Halibut and fried chicken. The mozzarella was a nice palette cleanser with so much flavor. The staff were great and their recommendations led us the whole way.

My only small note is the lighting. When you enter the host stand is bathed in a romantic, warm glow. But the main restaurant has brighter and cooler light.

A little dimmer lighting would’ve made this the most perfect date night spot. But we still had a fantastic meal and would highly recommend.

I’ve had some of the best meals and memories at Dune. The food is always out of this world and the services is impeccable.

Lucked out and grabbed seats at the bar early on a Saturday in August (no small feat). Bartender was genuine and friendly and knew the menu inside & out. Cocktails were expertly mixed and so tasty. The corn soup is NOT to be missed. The Halibut was one of the best preps I’ve experienced - ever! The oysters with watermelon mignonette also incredible. One of the best meals you can find on the island right now!

We had an amazing dinner. The food was delicious. Vegetarian tasting was so out of the box thinking and delicious, one of those finally a place that did a Vegetarian option that was really thought out. Steak was perfect. Starting with home made mozzarella and the beets, both delicious. Don't skip dessert! Would highly recommend and go back in a heartbeat. All servers were friendly and very on point! Great place!
