If you need groceries on the island, this is your option! That said, they had a surprisingly good selection. The only issues is that some of the local, prepared options (refrigerated, their brand) were lackluster and the prices were high, but the latter is true of most of the island venues. It would be nice if there was another grocery place that didn't have such competitive downtown parking, but I got exactly what I needed and the cashiers were friendly and helpful!

Food in Nantucket is very expensive, Stop and Shop kept the price down with good quality of produce and basic necessities without breaking the bank.

Great place for fresh produce and meats, they have everything else too. They have a home maid fruit yogart that is the best deal in Nantucket. I purchase a couple and have them in the morning on the boat.

What a nice surprise! The old A and P has been taked over by Stop and Shop. Cleaner, better stocked, more registers, meat and seafood counters, and better hours: 5am to 11. In front of the store is a well stocked cold case with sandwiches, salads, and deli food-to-go. The deli has a small but nice selection ofBoar's Head meats and cheeses. A great place to shop.

This is a great little store right next to where you get off the ferry. It is clean and if you want a cheaper alternative to the fairly expensive restaurant's, it's a great option.

Very well organized and stock. They had every thing we needed. The prices were good for an island market
