Dawn is the most perfect little Nantucket shop! They offer great gifts & housewares, and beautifully curated clothing and accessories. I found a great birthday present for my husband, as well as a fun beach blanket for my kiddos. The overall feeling of the store is completely unique, and I couldn’t have had a better shopping experience. The customer service was amazing, and they offer a variety of price points and some truly one-of-a-kind finds! This gorgeous shop is a ‘ do not miss’ spot. Grab yourself a cocktail at the Gazebo or Straight Wharf on the way out. Win, win!

I couldn't love Dawn more! I have had the most hecitc wedding season and Dawn has outfitted my entire wedding wardrobe for the season. Not only that but the staff is incredibly kind, corteous, and attentive in the store and makes genuine and authentic recommendations based upon your predilections. This is not your average preppy store - they have the coolest collection of women's and men's apparel, home decor & goods, and business & pleasure things. I am always getting compliments on my attire I bought at Dawn because it is different and not like everyone else! Thank you to the Dawn store and staff - you have been a life savor this summer!!!

Not pretentious - it’s affordable (for NANTUCKET) Can’t ask for anything more here except I’m looking forward to the next new shipment of clothes - I’ll definitely be back!

Very nicely curated selection of jewelry here. I absolutely love the earrings that I found here and the saleswoman was lovely! For context, this is one of only a few clothing shops who carry solid gold that I’ve found in Nantucket.

Dawn is a charming spot on Nantucket and our go to for summer favorites. The staff was helpful and when sizes weren’t available made sure to send our items quickly. Packages arrived on time and with a great note. It’s a eod Erick store - we’ll be back every summer and excited to do more shopping via the online store!

What started as a really positive experience went downhill when I went to check out. Honestly, after 15 years of running a boutique, I have never seen this happen (I didn’t even tell her I was a manager of an upscale store, I was just so surprised). Not that she would assume I was… I was literally headed to the beach and I was not dressed up.
I tried on a white top that was $98. She said I had stained the top and that she needed my credit card to charge me. I was about to pay for over $300 of merchandise anyway. But she made a point that she needed to keep it on file. What? No! She was very short and condescending, whereas she was as nice as pie to me when I came in. A 360 over a $98 top. Not to mention I only had mascara on, the stain looked like a dark foundation. I also tried everything on with my mask. So there was no way I made the stain. If I did, I would absolutely have paid for the cleaning. She said there’s no way it would have been put back on the floor with a stain after so someone else tried it on. Really? It was on the inside of the garment and the top was buttoned up on the front table. Regardless..going back to the fact that I ran an upscale store that actually carried some of the same brands… I have never told a customer that they had to outright buy a garment with a stain they may or may not have been responsible for. I simply put it on the sale rack for 10% off or got it cleaned. It’s the nature of the business. But let me clear, if the owner wasn’t so condescending and rude about it, I wouldn’t even be writing this review. I walked out without the items I was intending to buy. She lost a customer. I’m all for supporting small businesses, but this one won’t get my money. After the beach I went to Wheat down the street and dropped $700 and then to Milly & Grace and spent another $400. If she cared about customer service, she wouldn’t have to worry about nickle and diming people. And the fake “nice” persona was so offensive once I saw the real persona come out. So disappointed.
