Kilimanjaro Safaris

Each safari is different . Last trip we got 2 amazing driver guides very interactive . One cracked jokes and we got to see the baby elephant and lions clearly. The other also interactive with the group and got very clear giraffe and elephant photos.

Great experience. The first thing we did after entering the Animal Kingdom park. Could see many animals.

If I could give this a 10 stars I would. We almost passed this, we have a zoo at home what could it be, well I am here to say, It was impressive. You drive right up to the animals they are so calm and well taken care of. These people take pride in their work and it shows. The Lion gave us a roaring show.

This is our favorite attraction at Animal Kingdom. We really enjoy it each time we go! This time we went about mid-day on a Tuesday and waited about 25 minutes. There are so many animals to see, it's always been worth it. I've experienced a safari in Tanzania, Africa and it's obviously not near the same as this attraction, but I do have to say it's impressive to see these animals so up close, and the variety of animals, too. Would definitely recommend.

The Kilimanjaro Safari was a very fun ride! The wait time was very short while we were there and our group of 3 had the whole row to ourselves. The driver was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.

While there we were able to see a wide variety of animals and wildlife, and learn more about what the park does to help rehabilitate some of these rare animals. We were able to get quite close to some of the animals while clearly remaining in a safe location the entire time. I would highly recommend the adventure for anyone interested in seeing some wild animals while at the park! It was great for our young crew!

Genie+ is a must here as you'll want to ride multiple times a day, it's almost always different!

We had giraffes come so close and block the road, kept us there for a solid 10 minutes but of course no one complained as we saw giraffes up close and personal!

The quality of this attraction depends more on the animals (and the time of day that you ride it) than anything else. Early morning seems to be the best, as there tends to be more animal activity than later in the day.

Another MUST DO here at Animal Kingdom! Tip: Go first thing in the morning, the animals are more active and walking around. To have a traffic jam because of a giraffe walking down the road will absolutely make your day! Can’t say enough about this amazing tour!

Special thanks for letting us stand under the umbrella while we waited for the Kilimanjaro Safaris to open! Being the first onto the safari with front-row seats and our amazing driver, Mindy, was an absolute dream. Her soothing voice and expert navigation made the safari even more magical as we peacefully observed the animals in their natural habitat before the park filled with visitors. From giraffes to elephants, warthogs to rhinos, and even the majestic lions on Pride Rock, it was an incredible adventure from start to finish. 🦒🐘🦁

Worth waiting in the line during holidays(up to 1.3-2 hrs) because the last ride is around 4.30 pm. Enjoyed watching the wild animals in their "natural" habitat and being taken care of. The guide was super nice and gave us information about the animals and even showed us where to look to spot them.
Interesting safari idea.

This is honestly the best ride in Animal Kingdom, especially if you like animals. Definitely go early in the morning to catch the animals in their most active states. Really fun overall and absolutely would ride again!

Kilimanjaro Safaris is located in Disney's Animal Kingdom. The animals were very active on this rainy day. It's the best attraction at Animal Kingdom.

Kilimanjaro Safari experience can range from acceptable to once in a lifetime thing. It all depends on weather, time of the day, and who drives the vehicle. During sweltering day at 1 pm, you won’t see many animals. Your driver can be obsessed with one animal and he/she may not explain about other significant wild animals.

But if you choose to experience in the morning time or just before the sunset, you won’t be disappointed. I once witnessed a giraffe peed right in front of me. Today, 2 rhinos were approaching me. Lions are supposed to be sleeping 16-20 hrs/day, but if you witness them roar occasionally.

Strongly urge you to experience the safari every now and then if you are an annual pass holder.

Kilimanjaro Safaris is excellent place to see in morning. When we came there was no rush. Morning time most animals will be out.

This is the signature experience at Animal Kingdom and a must see attraction. The ride itself involves riding on a large truck through various areas to see a large variety of wildlife. Some of the animals are kept at a distance (for safety reasons), but some animals are allowed to come right up to the vehicle. It's definitely worth going through every time you come to Animal Kingdom since you're likely to get better views of some of the animals that you previously may not have seen. To have the best shot at seeing the most on your ride you should try to go on the safari as early as possible. This is when the animals are most active as they tend to rest and hide more when the sun and heat increase later in the day. The lines can also get quite long which is another reason to try to do it early, but either way it is always worth the wait.

I always love doing the safari! It's my favorite thing to do while at animal kingdom! Giraffes are my favorite animal and they are always roaming! Tons of animals to see and a far better way to see them than a typical zoo

Was really cool seeing all the animals. Out while party really enjoyed it. One of the busier attractions.

The Kilimanjaro Safari is my favorite ride at Animal Kingdom ❤ It is absolutely worth the wait time. My family absolutely loved it. I haven't been in years and I'm so happy I went back. Happy I was able to experience it with them. Such a wonderful day!
