What a great team to do business with! As an amateur with a very niche need, I had plenty of questions. Not only did I get great information about the bass sax mouthpiece, which I ended up purchasing direct, but also about a new potential reed set-up when I found my existing brand to be workable but ill-fitting. I even got a very in-depth answer on how my current reeds are made and why it causes my issue.

The DV bass mpc itself feels and sounds great! It was immediately playable despite being a significantly larger tip opening and chamber than I've previously used.

What an experience! Was looking for a solid bass clarinet mouthpiece and oh boy did I ever find it. Purchased the Chedeville Elite - F5 and what a game changer. I don’t think anything stayed the same on my new Royal Global Max bass clarinet. Even intonation throughout the instrument, no loss in quality of sound between my pianissimo and definitely no holding back the thunderous roar on the fortissimo. I’m so very thankful for the time Danielle, David and Tyler spent with me testing the entire line. Highly recommend these mouthpieces!

Highly recommend Jody Jazz for the their relentless pursuit of perfection on their mouthpieces. I have HR* and custom dark mouthpieces on many horns and they are my favorite. Jody's power rings are super easy to put on and will increase your sound.

I have been a fan of George Garzone since first hearing the Fringe in 1976. JodyJazz has done all of us a great favor in making some of George's educational DVD's available. My experience ordering from JodyJazz was great! They are friendly people who love music and musicians!

I hit a concrete wall in my practices with my mediocre student mouthpiece. There were altissimo notes and some techniques that I couldn't play at all. JodyJazz Jet 6 saved my practices. Now I can play 2 octave intervals immediately. The Power Ring Ligature also made the installation of the reed on and off, way easier. So expensive pieces for me as a student. But if you're a keeper, it's definitely worth it.

Really enjoying the fat bottom end the DV window gives. While playing this mouthpiece, I’m confident on any note I need to play.

I contacted Jody Jazz customer service for some advice on which mouthpiece would work best for what I needed to accomplish when playing my bari sax in a horn band (jazz/funk/soul). They were extremely helpful and provided plenty of information and answered all my questions. I purchased a Jody Jazz Jet 7 and have been working with it for several weeks now. I am still getting used to its responsiveness (very!) and it has been making me very happy - quite flexible, amazing projection, good intonation across the horn and free blowing. I may get an HR* mouthpiece to cover any ground the Jet may be a bit much for, but it is a great mouthpiece and a great, made in America company.

I ordered the jody jazz Giant mouthpiece with a tip opening of 8. I have quite literally never owned a better mouthpiece. The focus of sound and air is no longer a constant struggle. Full range facility is easier...and the sound! The sound is large and full. After increasing my Reed strength a full size up, I have now completed a process that has taken 20 years. This is now my mouthpiece!!

Jody Jazz in my opinion is the best mouthpiece makers around. Their mouthpiece outplays Selmer Paris Mouthpieces in quality and construction, and I plan to only use their products for the foreseeable future! Thank You for making great products.

I have been playing Jody Jazz DV NY in size 7 for at least two years now on my Alto Mark VI and the product they offer is of SUPERB quality. It revolutionized the mouthpiece making and redeemed the name of good metal alto-sax mouthpiece. I am looking forward to trying there tenor-sax and newest addition- clarinet mouthpieces.

Great place to shop for your next mouthpiece. I have owned a DV CHI and loved the sound, but it was too free blowing for me. Purchased a 8* Giant and found what I was looking for. Edge, fullness, a bit of resistance that lets you shape your sound. Lots of compliments on my sound since. Jody has something for everyone.

The folks at Jody Jazz were courteous, professional, and prompt. My mouthpiece was shipped to me the same day I ordered it. Jody Jazz came highly recommended to me and I would definitely recommend them to others.

It all started with Jody having a chat with Nigel from McGill's Sax school. Way too much info for me! I went to Jody's website, completed the 6 questions, got a reply within a day or two, ordered the mouthpieces with the round ligatures..very sceptical about these rings..how can a round "thing" just hold a reed in place? I had to make this decision after looking at my old reeds and the damage done to the outside due to forever tightening the ligatures screws to hold the reed down..

Package arrived..whoopy!..very beautiful products! At least I can put them next to my miniature instruments in my showcase if this was another "advertising" scam. So I started with the Alto..really? Better sound, but not quite right..the next day the Tenor..mmm, something is missing although a better sound. The it hit me..Jody suggested to go down half a strength..another email from Jody's support team suggested the American cut Legere reed for responsiveness...another 10 days...

Finally it arrived...now I don't know much about all these educated words..tone, intonation, clarity, brightness etc., etc....this combination of mouth piece, ligature and reed for both instruments just works..I love the sound, it is now alive, it just feels easier to play! I am very impressed with the products, the functionality and the ease of setting it up. No more tightening screws! I do admit though, every now and then I take these items out and just look at them..so beautifully made...ok, that is just me.

Thanks again for truly great products which can assist anybody now to focus on technique and know that the mouthpiece, ligature and reed are not the reasons for blowing more air than sound (for the sensitive folk out there, I am talking about myself!) Hey, I should get a Oscar for this review..ok, I will stop now.

Fantastic service and even better products. Have been using Jody Jazz mouthpieces since 2010, and haven’t looked back since. The factory is fun to visit and that is also where I got to play test all their gear. Kudos!

Very happy with the HR* 7 Alto. I was previously using the DV 8 but it is too bright for me in the upper register. The HR* 7 is working well in both registers. Free blowing. Nice alto buzz in the lower register. Good altissimo. Solid piece.
