El Don Mexican Restaurant

Went here last Friday night. Walked right in and got a table. 15 minutes later it was full! We quickly found out why. Great drinks, great food. I used to drive far to a cheaper Mexican restaurant, but as soon as I tasted the drinks and food at El Don I realized why the other place was cheaper - the food quality is WAY better at El Don! Daniela was exceptional as our server and Oscar (manager) checked in periodically to make sure our service and food was superb. There was live music and a larger birthday party, at one point we had a 50 person conga line going throughout the restaurant! Great atmosphere, great food, tons of fun on a Friday/Saturday night!

I don’t go to Mexican restaurants a lot in the US. But I’ve had my share in the past, and I know the difference between a good one a decent one and a fantastic one. At least in my opinion.

We were on our way to North Georgia got hungry stop by this place. Really love the atmosphere really cool hand-painted artwork inside, huge wide open space, lots of seating bar on the left I would say 10-15 chairs.

There’s also small patio deck for outside seating that’s what got our attention. We sat outside, beautiful day.

The menu was very robust, lots of good looking things on the menu everything you would expect from a Mexican restaurant.

We had the guacamole dip, I had the brisket tacos and partner steak tacos. Everything was delicious. The food came out quickly and had lots of flavor. The meats were marinated perfectly, delicious taste, may be homemade here. Loved the guacamole. Oh my gosh so good. That was definitely made fresh. And the free salsa and chips, I love their salsa style. It’s not too hot. Has a lot of flavor natural tomato flavors with cilantro and onion.

The service here was awesome. always attentive, our glasses were never empty. Delicious margaritas, by the way.

Would I here again? If I ever go past there again and I’m hungry absolutely.

Our server was terrific and the atmosphere here is wonderful! My daughter ordered horchata which came in a gigantic glass and it was delicious. The chips were hot and fresh and the queso was really good. My duo fajitas came out sizzling and gorgeous! I only wish they were more seasoned, it was odd how bland they were. I doctored them up with some of the amazing salsa we had been served and a generous amount of salt which was noticeably missing from the dish. For dessert my daughter ordered the churros. They were sooo good and served with ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. The portions were large and plenty of parking. We will definitely be back next time we're in Alpharetta. Highly recommend.

The place is big with a huge staff. The atmosphere is great with good music and tvs on various news and sports channels, which is good. I stopped in for lunch and had a watermelon margarita which was delicious, along with fajitas carnitas. A huge amount of food plus brand and rice with all the sides you need. So delicious, I can’t express this enough. Sizzling and showy fajitas were so pleasing to all my senses. Was so good! Plenty of food, so that I had take half of it home. All for $21!! Tip your waitresses!

I played with The Band "Big Dog BLUES Band" and everything was great. As we provided good music they provided good food. 😋

Customer service was extraordinarily excellent and the food was awesome and the drinks were great and the live band was fun and fabulous, a wonderful first time visit. Thank you

This place is amazing!!! Wonderful service and delicious food! Great alcohol and bourbon selection. Super cool day of they dead atmosphere! Recommend for anyone looking for a fun and tasty experience! Coming back tomorrow for sure!

We love this place. We bring our group of Meetup friends there every few months, which is usually a group of 24 to 32 people. We always ask for Mario, as he takes great care of us. It can be very hard to keep up with the group that size. He does a great job, as does everybody there. We appreciate it and will continue coming back!

My wife and I have been a fan of El Don Bar & Grill for almost 10 years. The service is excellent. The food is served quickly and is always delicious. We frequently are there on a Friday night to enjoy the excellent live music that is presented every weekend. I recommend El Don Bar & Grill to all our friends.

Will be back especially when Donny Hammonds band is there, if your in the area and their playing you want be disappointed. Great band!!!!!!

Very good food and generous on drink sizes. This is a great Mexican restaurant for families as there are usually many kids there and there is rarely a wait bc it is large. Music on weekends usually. Restaurant usually on the loud side but that can be festive so just know that is what it is like. Service always very prompt. I recommend

I've eaten here several times and threw a party here once. I love the food and the service is great. They were so easy to work with, and all our guests enjoyed their dinner.together. The flavor combinations were great. The decor and vibe of the whole restaurant was great for a night out with friends. Not too loud, cozy and comfortable.

Frozen Margaritas to die for!! Food was delicious, larger portions. Attentive service. Great atmosphere. Just visiting the area but would definitely recommend and go back again.

Never disappointed here! My fav dish is the chorizo pollo quesadilla. Delicious!

Our server, Jack, was excellent. He made sure our dietary modifications to our meals were made exactly to our specifications. The food was prepared correctly and seasoned superbly. They even had live music while we were enjoying our meal. Great experience for our date night. We will be returning.
