Every bakery I had asked for black icing would tell me it wasn't doable or wouldn't taste good. Ambrosia listened and helped me find what would work and it turned out better than I could've hoped for! A red velvet with black buttercream icing, it was rich and moist very delicious!!

Love, love love this place! Get all my desserts and pastries from here! I even had them do my wedding cake! I have never had a bad experience. I have bought here so many times I cannot keep count!

OMG! I cannot brag about this place enough. The wedding cake and groom's cake that I had them make were PERFECT!!! Their prices are incredibly reasonable and the flavor is spot on. I definitely recommend this place for your event cakes! The hummingbird filling is to die for.

Always delicious food, never had a negative experience here. Breakfast, lunch, and plenty of treats. I really like the roast beef and pepper jack wrap. I can not pick just one sweet... the Zulu mardi gras cake is my favorite Mardi Gras cake.

I wanted a very special cake for my little Momma's 83rd birthday...they did not disappoint...my Momma said " it's too pretty to eat " but the taste was even better ..

The customer service was great and the detail was amazing. It was a beautiful cake. Everyone who saw it was blown away by how absolutely adorable and detail oriented it was. Ambrosia made our wedding cake and groom's cake 25 years ago. They did excellent work then and they continue with their amazingly detailed and high standards to this day. Beyond impressed.

Best Birthday Cake Ever!!!!!
I have ordered from Ambrosia Bakery for over 15 years, and I have never been disappointed!!!! So when I decided to go over the top for my daughter's 7th birthday after not having a birthday party the previous year due to COVID, I immediately reached out to Ambrosia.

My daughter had just started horse riding lessons after two years of begging when she was too young to start....So I was determined to make it special. I planned a horse riding party at the Purple Reins Farm located in Stl Gabriel. It was everything you could dream of as a little girl who wants a horse!!!

Then we had a hurricane headed straight for us...Ida!!! I was so worried that the party would not happen, but by the grace of God and the hard work of the staff at Purple Rein Farms, the party was still a GO!!

So, I reached out to Ambrosia to make sure the cake was still able to be prepared for the party, and I was told that all was well and the cake would be ready due to them not losing power. Well little did they know, Entergy continued to turn the power to Ambrosial on and off during the time my cake was to be prepared. This posed a huge problem for the artist that provide the amazing creations....

I was called the evening prior to my daughters party to be informed they would not have my birthday cake ready due to the power issues with the storm...as anyone can imagine I was devastated and didn't know what to do... Then she let me know they would be able to have something for me just not what I had planned. At that point, I was just excited that there would be anything for the guests, and moreover, a place to put candles for her to blow out....

Because of the great and talented people who work at Ambrosia, they went above and beyond working extra hours without power at many of their own homes to deliver the best cake I could ever have imagined!!!! The baker/artist decided to surprise me and make the actual cake I ordered (sculptured cake taking hours to bake and design)!!!!

Please consider using them for all of your baking and catering needs for any event, but especially for the events you want to be special with a little something extra....Lagniappe!!!!

We drive out of our way to go over to Ambrosia Bakery to get their Pastries Cakes Pies and King Cakes. They are so delicious !!

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, we ordered a small strawberry cake and dessert trays. The strawberry cake is amazing and tastes just like strawberry shortcake. Service and atmosphere is always friendly and fun.

Their cakes are very good. Moist, not overly sweet, fresh fruit. We've been getting cakes from them (occasionally) for what, a decade now? The quality is consistent. Sure, it's a little pricey if you're on a budget, but it's definitely worth the splurge.

From the decorations to the service to their cakes always tasting and looking great, Ambrosia's is at the top of the cake game in Baton Rouge. Although a little pricey for specialty cakes, they are worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY! Other bakeries in town either have great cakes OR great decorations, however Ambrosia's has BOTH consistently. If you are in town and have a sweet tooth (or not) make sure to stop by for their large selection of sweets (doughnuts, petit fours, cake squares, cake slices, miniature pies) and so much more. The staff is friendly and helpful and try to move as fast as they possibly can in order to keep the lines moving especially around the holidays. Which needs to be stated . . . Make sure to order Specialty and Holiday orders early. The lines are long during these times and ordering early is the best way to avoid them. #EatCakeandBeHappy!

Wonderful ambiance and a great selection of sweets to choose from. I got my sisters birthday cake from here and it was delicious and gorgeous. They have several places to checkout so that they can ensure that you're in and out in a decent amount of time and they have a cute collection of birthday candels there. I would definitely recommend their cake!

I recently started going to Ambrosia weekly because I have Physical Therapy close by at Lewy PT twice a week in the mornings. I go to Ambrosia for their Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissant with the Hash Browns and an Orange Juice. They make it fresh right when you order it and it comes out hot and fresh. They also have very good pastries and cakes. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend going here.

We asked them to make a bridal shower cake using freeze dried edible flowers and they delivered! So thankful to have such an amazing bakery in town.

It's just simply AMAZING!
