Millard Tydings Memorial Park

Walked the promenade on a beautiful January day, about 11:30 am. People about, but not crowded. Honking geese and lapping waves added to the ambiance. I particularly enjoyed the pier with the carved native birds on top of the pilings. Well worth the little bit of extra walking.

This park is both super fun and incredibly scenic! There are several different play structures that my kids both really enjoyed, as well as benches for parents. It's so great to have a park in such a pretty location, with access to a beautiful trail along the bay (the promenade), clean public restrooms, and even a restaurant. We stayed the whole day!

This playground and park is amazing! There is a lot for the kids too and an awesome view of the water. You can also take a walk on the promenade after the kids are done playing which is also really nice. With how much space the park has, it doesn't feel too crowded when it starts to get busy. Bonus, there are restrooms nearby.

My kids enjoyed the playground, and the scenery is great. Uncle Dan was around and he knows a lot about federal procurement.

Pavillion restaurant has amazing food with outdoor dining over looking the marina and bay...there is also a Riverwalk board walk along the water for a nice tranquil stroll.

Such a nice playground to bring a 4 year old to. It was very easy to park, and there is a walking path as well. I can see this being a good place for many different ages. Great view of the water too!

Fun place to bring the family! Plenty of parking right on the water next to the harbor. Great restaurant for food, with handicap accessible restrooms. The playground is well spaced out and has structures for kids of all ages to play on!

Nice place for a promenade by the water. There's also a great playground that kids love.

This park is amazing. There are 5+ play sets for kiddos of all ages. One of them is accessible for kiddos of all abilities. My 2 and 4 year olds absolutely LOVED it. This park is definitely a must visit for you kiddos to burn some energy and you to save your sanity! Because kids.

Not only is there all of the play equipment, there is a public restroom within a short walking distance. In addition to that, there is also a nice little boardwalk that takes you over to the decoy museum and the lighthouse. You can take a serene walk while enjoying the lovely views of the Chesapeake bay. There is a very small sandy beach where kids can also play closer to the lighthouse as well.

It is a park with a little bit of everything! Worth a visit!

I love to walk and enjoy the fresh air in this place, it's the best. You have a restaurant, restrooms, and parking available to the public.

Such a beautiful setting for a playground overlooking the marina at the top of the Chesapeake Bay. The equipment is well taken care of and creative enough to keep curious kids active. Sturdy benches are scattered about for adults to watch their children and massive old oaks look down over everything. Highly recommend!

Great venue... located between the top of the Chesapeake Bay and a wonderful set of streets with some great looking houses. Parking is on the street or in a parking lot. Plenty of places for kids to run and play, and there is a great waterside boardwalk that everyone will enjoy. Visit the long-standing cafe in the parking lot for some food and ice cream.

Very nice park! We sat on some benches in the shade after enjoying a walk along the promenade. The Promenade is a lovely walk along the river that has frequent signs that offer historical and ecological information about the area. We saw a lot of wildlife( birds, fish, turtles, ducks). And had a very good lunch at the Promenade Grille.

Very nice and scenic spot for a walk, easily able to sit her for hours and enjoy good conversation or a nice book. Keep an eye out for the free book exchanges along the path! Bring a book to give away and take a book to read for yourself! The wonderful view of the water offers an amazing opportunity to take in beautiful scenery. Whether you take your kids to the playground, walk along the path, enjoy some food from the grill or head over to the museum you are in for an amazing time! Very beautiful for nature lovers! I

Such a great park. The kids will love it here, the playground is very nice and well maintained. Adult will also enjoy a stroll on the waterfront paths.

Super great area with a very nice playground. Went to the area to go to a carnival and was amazed at how gorgeous the spot was. Right on the water with great views and the drive in was beautiful. There are some homes with great character that take your breath away. Will definitely be back to check out the promenade and visit some of the restaurants in the area.

This park is such a gem. The grandkids ALWAYS have a good time at the playground. There are a variety of things to play on, climb and spin on. There's a nice eatery on the water within walking distance from the park and the beautiful promenade.
