Humphreys Bar & Grill

So, I have been hearing a lot about a place up in Smithville called Humphreys Bar and Grill. And since I happened to be up in that neck of the woods I decided to stop in and give them a try. Making my way to the bar I order up a nice glass of Martin city IPA and start to study the menu.

Now for whatever the reason lately I've been on a club sandwich kick, and I happened to notice that they happened to have a club sandwich on their menu. So, I order it at along with a side of onion rings and waited patiently for my food to come out.

In just a few moments they brought me out a basketful of delicious! The sandwich itself was huge but even more important it had great flavor and freshness. Onion rings were the real deal no frozen rings at this place. Freshly battered and fried and delicious.

Came here to see Montage play. The servers were delightful and responsive. Drinks were strong and a good value.

They have a super cool industrial / western vibe & good food! Arcade games & live music some nights!

We were in town for an Early Goose Season Hunt, and we went to Humphreys after the hunt for some food, drinks, and to watch some football. Texas lost to OK, Texas A&M lost to Bama, and Missouri lost to whoever they were playing, but Kelly took great care of us. She made our visit a great one. We are planning on going to Humphreys any time we are in town.

Large multi-section seating areas. Big open windows. Historic building. Didn't feel rushed to eat and vacate..even with a baby. Only 2 ladies worked that day, and we were still very well taken care of! Food and portions 👍

The filet was perfect. Medium rare, almost tender that a knife was not required, though provided. The cheese potatoes rounded out the meal. Drinks were quick and strong enough you knew there was the requested liquor involved.

Normally I have pictures of the food I order but unfortunately I forgot to take some. I ordered the bacon ranch chicken sandwich with waffle fries and cowboy dip. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy. The only bad thing I can say is I couldn't taste the ranch. Great sandwich, wake fries were good, and the cowboy dip was awesome. Definitely worth giving them a try!

Nice place, cool atmosphere. The server was very nice and attentive. Margarita was excellent. Food good, fair prices. Was surprised to see so many options to choose from on menu. Can't wait to go again.

The food was excellent and the place was nice & clean. Service was friendly. They forgot to submit my order when they submitted my wife's, so her order came out by itself, but I would still definitely go back. I don't think the order issue is common. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich which I highly recommend. Very tasty and enough for 2 sandwiches. My wife had a burger which she loved. Not a thin cardboard burger.

Met a huge family group and they were very accommodating on a Saturday afternoon. We took up multiple tables and the staff did a great job. Soda and beer refills were quick. Everything I sampled was great. The game room was great for all the kids. Sorry we were an hour too early for the live music. Loaded chicken nachos were really good.

Food is always good, sometimes service is a bit slow, but I would say most times not intentionally, just busy or possibly new server. Ruben, chicken strips, and onion rings are highly recommended! Sometimes they have a band and it can be too loud so you can't enjoy your dinner, but overall it's a good experience!

We have been to Humphreys multiple times and the food is always excellent. Typical but extensive bar menu, but not typical quality. Everything we’ve tried is well above average. Nothing has disappointed!

We absolutely love Humphreys. The only place we choose to go when we don't make dinner at home! Fresh, reasonably priced and the automosphere is great. We even took some engagement photos inside since we frequent often and love the decor!

I actually played in a band there recently. Really good food. The staff worked effortlessly to take of the customers. I highly recommend . One of Smithvilles best kept secrets and it shouldn't be 👍🎸

Love the small town atmosphere. Also the building was a old car dealership for 50 years
