Seafood and eggplant hot pot, Shanghai potstickers and seafood wontons. Also a hot pot that was similar to Happy Family. It had everything like gumbo.

We were intending on going to an excellent Korean restaurant across the street, but they were full, so we decided to try Lu Lu's. Best decision we made in a while, the food is obviously of a different fair than Korean and definitely not Americanized Chinese food. We truly enjoy most ethnic foods from around the world. And Lu Lu's was no let-down. As with most great restaurants in the St. Louis area, the street view is very unassuming. Those who want that New York glamour would probably drive by. Inside is nicely decorated in a more traditional Asian restaurant with some impressive wall hangings and cloth table covers.

The Duck was amazing, we ate a 1/2 Boneless duck that was cooked to perfection. Crispy skin and juicy meat. It came on a bed of fresh cabbage with split buns to put it together. We ordered 4 or 5 dim sum plates which all were spectacular. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, we chose to keep our menu so we could continue to order the Dim Sum as we ate. My wife and I both were in the mood to try several dishes and ended up eating like gluttons for under $70.

My one recommendation would be to hold a good old fashion spring cleaning to spruce the place up again. With all of that being said, This restaurant is going to be at the top of my list to take friends and family.

One of the most Chinese, Chinese restaurants in St. Louis. We used to take my tai chi teacher there and he would order in Chinese with the Chinese staff. That’s the one Service downside, there can be some language barriers as the staff is very Chinese.

Everything is immaculately prepared.

If you’re familiar with the walnut shrimp dish, it’s very good here. If you’ve never tried it, give it a try. It’s very different than most Chinese Food. You won’t be disappointed. In fact, you won’t be disappointed whatever you order.

One exception. Don’t order any non-Chinese wine.

Parking was a breeze, but they weren’t really crowded.

Had a chance to meet the better half for lunch today and we chose this place based off the amount of reviews. The accolades this place has leading into and when you are waiting to be seated is pretty impressive to say the least. Traditional setting. Many options with pictures. Love that. Even have a sample dish in a glass case as you walk in that has been preserved for your viewing pleasure.

I ordered the steamed shrimp dumplings to start and the half Peking Duck for my main course. Better half ordered the fire chicken.

Overall I think the appetizer was good but the Peking Duck was really good. Service was good. I like breaking down all the restaurants in our little China Town district and this is one of the best spots I have found thus far.

We will be back for lunch someday soon. I have my eyes on some other options.

We had a really nice meal here after church. They have dim sum on Sunday, but you can still order off the menu as well. All the food was fresh and tasty. They are known for their authentic food. There are several award plaques and trophies displayed everywhere showing they've been voted as one of the top restaurants for many many years.

It's a rare condition this day and age to eat any great food on a deflated wage

Garlic and fish of the grand design, some people say it's even harder to find

Well there must be some magic sauce inside these tasty walls

Cause all I see is a tower of Lu
Real flavor bursting out of every fooood

As trays go bye
It's the bigger portions of St. Louis

If you read that and were confused think of the Family Matters theme song.

The dole fish with szechuan sauce is awesome and the best friggen egg drop I've had in the Mid-South. Service is fantastic. The waiters are courteous friendly and cool. One of them reminds me of David Carradine.

Lu Lu Seafood and Dim Sum Restaurant is the best restaurant for crab, fresh fish, and seafood in the Midwest. This is the only Chinese dim sum restaurant we go to in Missouri when we visit from California. Tastes remarkable.

Elegant and cozy, delicious food, extremely nice staff. Too salty for those on a salt restricted diet. Otherwise, lots of good menu items, both familiar and unique. Definitely get a side of green beans. The seseme balls were made fresh to order, and the best I have were had.
Stop and look at their beautiful saltwater fish tank.
And, for a bit of whimsy, find this kitty.

This place serves authentic Chinese food, not the Americanized version of what we think is Chinese food. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere and ambience was beautiful. The Dim Sum menu is delicious and has items for every one.

You will love Lulu's. Authentic Chinese food with speedy service. The menu has pictures, so you can see everything they have to offer. There are so many options available to try. The Mapo Tofu was really good, as were the soup filled dumplings. Dont be turned off by the exterior. The interior is clean and spacious. Prices are favorable considering the quality and portions.

Excellent Chinese food.
Spicy dishes are very spicy, but the water is oddly effective at eliminating the sensation of too-spicy.

The number one original Chinese Restaurant continues to perform as usual. It is unfortunate that the idea of offering exceptional Chinese cuisine has not caught on elsewhere in metro St. Louis. With the exception of LuLu's, the rest of the competition is like the equivalent of a bunch of Americanized fast food or buffet restaurants. What is equally sad is that these uniformally redundant restaurants are starting to attract ethnic Chinese in increasing numbers while their business volume drops due to boring menus and poor quality. Where are the brave operators that will uphold the heritage of fine dining in the Chinese community other than LuLu's?

Amazing place for Dim Sum! There is a large selection to choose from. We love the dumplings, the tofu salad and the Singapore noodles. It is our go to place on Christmas Day.
