Jose'peños Mexican Restaurants

The salsa here is pretty delicious, Chimichanga was crispy, and chicken was shredded and flavorful.

Eggs were slightly burnt on the bottom due to cooking with a pan that was too hot, but overall, very yummy.

This is our go to Mexican place even though we don't live nearby.

Food is great and reasonably priced. It tasted fresh and was so delicious. Already returned a second time and will return regularly. New favorite Mexican place!

Update: still coming back, still very consistent. Fresh and tasty!

Quick service.....Food was very good and margarita flight really nice to have the opportunity to try banana, cucumber chili, and prickly pear.

5 stars all the way around. Service was friendly, accommodating, and even better speedy. If you are looking for a great Mexican dish I highly recommend Jose Peños. Try the Molcajete

Went for a birthday dinner! Waitress was nice, service was a little slow. Nachos looked delicous covered with extra cheese and onions, tacos smothered in cilantro, desserts including chocolate lava cake were all good.

Found this place by accident and I'm very glad that we did. The food was excellent and by far the best tasting than any Mexican place I've ever eaten at. The salsa was so good that our very nice server, Gabriel, packed some for us to go. Not only was the food good, the presentation was great as well. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who is done eating at other chain Mexican restaurants.

Molcajete was delicious! Grilled chicken, beef and shrimp, onions and peppers, roasted jalapeño, fried cactus, and grilled queso fresco all over a cheesy, green salsa.

I ordered catering for delivery for our faculty and staff lunch yesterday. Food arrived hot and it was delicious. Everyone wanted to know where it was from because it was so good. Maggie came and set everything up in chafing dishes. There were vegetarian options as well so everyone was happy. Thank you for the wonderful service and delicious meal. We will be ordering again!

We've been comin to Jose's since he opened! We LOVE the food, atmosphere and the staff. Jose works so hard and is ALWAYS visible for his customers. He wants you to enjoy his good as much as he does! We've had almost every appetizer and every menu item. My new favorite go to is the carnitas plate with white rice. Yummy!!!! My son always eats the all beef nachos. Sorry the pics don't do justice this time... We were SO hungry and it was so good we had several bites before the pics were taken.

The food is always great and the serive is excellent. I dine here every Thursday for years and it's a great family restaurant!

I had the Pollo Con Rajas and it was wonderful! The service was good. We were in the area for a cross country meet and wanted to get something to eat before the races began. We chose this place randomly, and are glad we did. Prices are reasonable (standard Mexican restaurant). I recommend stopping in if you are in the O'Fallon area.

Best Mexican food in O’Fallon. Safe to enjoy during COVID, as they are doing everything right. Separate entrances for dine-in/carry out, masked employees, masked guests when not at table, socially distanced and sanitized tables...

After listening to a few co-workers talk about this Restaurant I took the plunge. The food was amazing. I had the Pollo con Rajas and I think . I found my favorite item.

Went here on a friend recommendation and was glad we went. The service was great. Not many places the owner walks around checking on you are left. The best mole sauce I've had in 20 years. Margarita was perfect not to sweet. Of course fresh salsa is always yummy. In the St Charles County area I say this is top 3 for all around flavor and service.

An above average Mexican restaurant in St Louis. More Tex-Mex than traditional Mexican, not that that's a bad thing, just so you are aware. Service was fantastic, and our waiter made it a more enjoyable evening with his humor. Drinks were very good as well.
