Bono's Pizzeria

I absolutely loved the deluxe deep dish pizza I had! The sausage was mouthwatering, and the toppings were incredibly fresh. Everything about it was delightful. Oh, and the crust? Pure buttery perfection with a flavor that just sings. Plus, the sauce was top-notch. It was a fantastic experience!

We stopped in on Saturday late afternoon to catch the last qtr of the Old Miss-Tulane game... Aaron and the entire staff were so friendly and welcoming, BUT LET'S TALK ABOUT THAT PIZZA! The Chicago deep dish is amazing! Everything is made from scratch- jucy tomatoes, tons of mozz and a dense crunchy crust - seriously so good!
It was a beautiful night and we were going to grab a table on the patio for cocktails after dinner, but hubby was so stuffed, we had to call it a night. 😁
Best pizza and atmosphere, hands down. We will be back!

We go all over to try different Chicago style and NY pizza places in the area. We were very happy to find this place! STL hasn't been a great sauce city, however Bono's sauce reminded me of my Grandmother's sit all day in the pot sauce. I do prefer a thicker texture, this was a bit loose, but the flavor was amazing! The mozzarella was just the right amount of chew and not too salty. The crust was buttery deliciousness! We added chicken, which was good quality, and onions.
The salad was decent...House dressing was thick, sweet, and off a bit on flavor but not terrible.
Overall, we can't wait to go back and try other dishes. It's so nice to have a place that offers an authentic Italian experience without tasting like every other STL Italian restaurant! Service was excellent!
Constructive criticism: a good cleaning in higher wall spaces would be recommended.

Carryout only experiences. Deep dish Chicago Pizza is the best I've had in st Louis. Eggplant Parmesan: cheesy, 4 thick slices, and did I say cheesy! Buffalo wings: naked, fried perfectly, plenty of sauce.

We got here at 11:03 (today) Monday morning and the owner was just arriving. We were invited in and appreciated the small business in it’s entirety. Literally one of the best Cesar salads I’ve ever had in STL. Just the right amount of dressing tossed into a well-blanched romaine lettuce. High quality ingredients and high-quality talents show through the food. Love was expressed in the food and we, in turn, love this place. I recommend salads and the Neapolitan pizza, I was too full to enjoy the Chicago style special but my bf loved it! The sauce is addicting and they use just the right amount of cheese to make it cheesy. We have had a very good experience each and every time we have ordered here. I highly recommend this pizzeria! We left at 12:10- that’s just a little over an hour for two fresh pies. Impressive for just starting the day. Thanks guys!💪❤

We went to Tony Bono’s for lunch today, and wow, it was terrific! We had the Chicago style pizza the last time we dined there. It was delicious. Today, we had the New York style, and it was equally delicious. The crust was thick and crispy, and the sauce and toppings were perfectly balanced. Lacey was our server. She was so nice, and very attentive. Tony was there too, and working the counter and cooking. He takes pride in his restaurant. Awesome guy!

Best Chicago deep dish pizza I have ever had!

I was visiting a friend from out of town, and we decided to stop at Bono’s for a quick lunch before I flew home. Upon arrival we were a little worried because we were the only people in the dining area, but it was 1:30 on a Sunday so it was possible we had missed the after-church/lunch crowd. We ordered the mozzarella sticks to start with, because you can always tell how good a place is by their mozz sticks lol Luckily they were delicious, so we had high hopes for our pizza! When the pizza came out, the owner brought it to our table and he was super nice. We split a St Louis thin crust and it was SO. GOOD. Possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had. The crust was so perfectly crunchy the entire way through- no soggy spots or burnt pieces. The owner said he has been doing this for 50 years, and he’s definitely perfected his craft. We’re already talking about going back the next time I visit, because we want to try the pasta and see if it’s just as good. Also the prices were very reasonable. For the appetizer, pizza, and 2 soft drinks it was $27. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back!

After hearing about Bono's from several different sources, I knew I had to gicomfortable.

First, the space is really inviting and has the small bar feel that really makes eating and drinking comfortbale. You can sit anywhere you like, which includes an outdoor patio, and we were served our drinks within 1 minute of being there. They have a decent selection of beers and liquors to choose from.

For appetizers we had mozzarella sticks, which were phenomenal, and the marinara sauce was probably the best I've ever had. The wings were great too, and are definitely worth getting.

As for the pizza, we had the neopolitan four meat pizza, which featured a buttery crunchy crust that was unique and absolutely addicting. Every bite was perfect, and they had italian spices mixed in with the cheese that created a perfect blend of cheese, meat and seasonig. I'm definitely excited to try their NY style pizza as well as their deep dish pizzas on my next visits.

So, TLDR, if you want to try all of the pizza places in STL, Bono's has to be on the list.

Fantastic pizza and Garlic Cheesy Bread. I was full and still had halve a pizza. The cheese was perfect and so was the sauce. The atmosphere of the dining room really takes you back in history of St Louis sports especially when your seeing pictures of Marshall Faulk in a St Louis Rams uniform. I loved it.

Delicious pizza! Great service! They were backed up with orders but we ordered and came back 30-40 min later to get the pizza. Love the crust. We tried 3 different styles of crust. All tasty. Toasted raviolis were very good!

All around amazing! The deep dish pizza was out standing! I would recommend this place to anyone! The staff is outgoing and nice!

If you're looking for a calm down to earth experience with good food, this is a nice spot to spend an hour or so. Staff is friendly in the way you'd feel with a buddy not necessarily a stranger. And since it was Sunday, being able to catch the game was a bonus.

Excellent Chicago style deep dish pizza. Best I have had in St. Louis. Also tasty Caesar salad dressing.

Overall, a quality pizza place. The wings were good too. The service was great too. Prices not too bad either.

I got a chicago style deep dish. Great crust and ingredients. The only downside is that they use provel cheese on the deep dish too.

Bono’s was so good! Best pizza in stl. The owners and employees were fantastic as well. Very local and fresh pizza.

The place was awesome. The long island roll with bacon was top notch. Meatballs big as my fist in the pasta and pizza was better then Imo's. Enough food for two meals. About 15 bucks a person.
