First time I’ve ever eaten inside here passing thru for business. Always got it to go. This time we ate inside and let me say what a great evening with the live music and just phenomenal BBQ!!! We will definitely be back and visit again. Everyone who works inside deserves 5 stars. Thank you for a great meal and atmosphere. Also thank you to the musician for singing Etta James “At Last” because that’s my wife and I’s wedding song.

Exactly what you'd expect from an original NC Eastern BBQ joint: simply good food, delightfully friendly staff and a cultural museum atmosphere. The "pig in a pup" BBQ sandwich is traditional pulled pork in a ginormous sliced hush puppy. And don't forget the banana pudding! Go for it!

Wonderful buffet and menu items. The locals rave about this restaurant and so glad we listened...The food was delicious and everyone had a smile. The staff was exceptional. It's like sitting a grandma's dining table everytime you walk in.

My visit to Kings occurred during my first time visiting Kinston, NC. The food was absolutely delicious. Being given the choice to eat from the menu or the buffet was a big positive for me. My colleagues and I chose the buffet, and it didn't disappoint! The atmosphere is really relaxed and the old pictures/memorabilia pieces found in the foyer area were really cool! I'd recommend anyone try Kings at least once!

I got the shrimp burger and it was absolutely wonderful . We also got flounder and chicken. Tuesday was buy 1 get 1 which was a surprise to us. The amazing wait staff informed us

I was a guest at the Christmas party for triple R electric that was held at Kings. I was quite impressed with the staff. They were very quick with anything that was needed. They were very pleasant. It was a wonderful experience. I would recommend their facility for any type banquet or party. It was fantastic.

I have traveled more than 30 states. Kings has the best fried chicken on a buffet that I've ever eaten. Right out of the fryer, moist fried chicken. Everything on the buffet is tasty; fried shrimp & pork skins, BBQ, country fried steak & gravy, rice,green beans,fried okra,cabbage,French fries, hush puppies, cold slaw, potato salad, salad bar, many desserts & soft serve ice cream. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly

The meeting space was perfect for our meeting with about 80 people. Food was served in a buffet style and was excellent. They had a projector in the ceiling so I was able to hook my computer to it to show a slide presentation. Staff was very helpful in setting it up.

This is one of the best BBQ experiences in NC. Stop in for the buffet, as I do every time I pass through Kinston. The comparative advantage of NC BBQ is sides. The buffet gives you an opportunity to try them all. Find chicken, pulled pork, fried shrimp, collard greens, casseroles, mash potatoes and more; it's hard to find a BBQ spot with as much variety these days. Staff are friendly. I have been told one can find better quality pulled pork elsewhere but that's only about 10% of what I eat when I come.

best BBQ we have eaten during our vacation in North Carolina...staff is wonderful and the food can't be beat. We ordered the regular size plate and could barely finish. Managed to squeeze in sweet potato pie and banana pudding. If we are ever in the area again this will be a return restaurant.

King's has bogo pecks of oysters on Wednesday nights! Nice size oysters steamed any way you like! Great shucking service at your table. You don't have to sit at the bar.

This was a great place to stop on the way to the beach! This restaurant had an area with a buffet, a regular dine in seating area and an area for take out. The tables were spread out, everyone was wearing masks and everything seemed pretty clean. The pig in the puppy was so good and the fresh squeezed lemonade was delicious!

Have been going to this establishment since I was a kid. Excellent barbecue in a now rather large mom and pop family restaurant. You can't go wrong if you want good comfort food.

Our Southwood Class of 1964 met at Kings Restaurant for reunion.
Had a great time mingling with my old classmates.

Simple, sit down BBQ restaurant. Nothing fancy, but the food and service are always great. Been stopping here for years, and will continue to do so.

Yes, Went here after our Apostle ( Lester Billings) engagement. and the restaurant was lit. Food and SVC was excellent. But the ladies rm needs a serious remodel...
