Hidden Pastures Trails

My friend and I have been to multiple locations to ride horses over the years. Hidden Pastures is by far THE BEST! The trail was so beautiful with lots of wildlife, mountain views and small streams the horses trot through. Exactly what we wanted and better than we imagined. We wouldn't change a thing. The husband and wife duo were friendly and very knowledgeable with lots of photos to commemorate your experience. We will absolutely be coming back here!

One of the prettiest places I've ridden.. The trails are canopied with gorgeous hardwoods, the terrain is enough for all levels of riding. The horses are very well cared for, healthy and very well behaved for any level rider. Maryann, our trail boss for the day, was an absolute pleasure to ride with. I HIGHLY recommend a visit to Hidden Pastures Trails.. Im going back for a fall color ride..

We had a beautiful ride with Maryann and Talmage at Hidden Pastures. Talmage took the time to adjust our stirrups and make sure we were comfortable before we headed out. Maryann led the way and took video and pictures for us. From our introduction my husband and I both felt that they were genuinely good people. We WILL be back to see them! Highly recommend.

Mary Ann, Talmage and Maggie were incredible guides for our 2hour ride today. The horses were well trained with unique fun personalities. I had Millie the muncher who was always trying to sneak a bite of a leaf going by. My husband had Piper who was secretly judging Millie’s lack of self restraint around food! Lol The scenery was gorgeous, including mountain views which were breathtaking. My husband and I were inexperienced riders and MaryAnn and Maggie were patient and great teachers. I would highly recommend using this outfit if you’re wanting to book a trip. These folks are extremely knowledgeable and very KIND!
They also took several photos and videos to help you document you actually did it!!

Talmage and Marianne were an absolute delight! The horses were ready to go and they took the time to match each rider with the right horse. My friends and I had the best time!! We will definitely do it again if ever back in the area!

My 13 year old granddaughter went riding this morning and had a wonderful experience. Horses were very gentle and they had a lovely ride. Saw quite a bit of wild life riding through the woods. She's looking forward to going again and sharing her experience with her family! Thanks Talmage and Marianne!

Had our first horse back riding experience through the mountains and loved it! It was perfect for our 10 year old! Marianne and her husband were wonderful guides and very friendly. Even let my daughter trot their horse for a few minutes in the ring after the ride!

Mary Ann and Telridge were absolutely amazing!! This was a beautiful trail with gorgeous, well-kept, and well-behaved horses. We loved the pictures and videos they took during the ride. Please make this part of your NC trip!

Highly recommend riding at Hidden Pastrures! Just rode with Marianne and Maggie this weekend and had wonderful time. The horses are well taken care of, are well trained, and Talmage and Marianne really made sure we were well prepared for the ride. Not mentioning the area is just stunning. Had a wonderful Saturday morning. Again, highly recommend.

This husband and wife duo were amazing! They own these beautiful horses. They made the horseback adventure very special.
They both rode with us, took pictures along the way, and offered us cold waters to finish. Highly recommend Talmage and Marianne!

An amazing trail ride! Beautiful scenery and Talmage and Marianne were terrific trail guides-took pictures and videos of the ride and emailed to us. The horses were gentle- perfect for first time riders!

Such a wonderful experience for my wife to get back on a saddle and for my daughter to ride for the first time. The views were amazing and you couldn’t meet anyone nicer than Marianne and Talmage. They went the extra mile for my wife’s birthday and our anniversary.

What a lovely experience. They were nice. The horses were gentle. We had a fun ride and enjoyed the beautiful views. They take photos and videos the whole time. There is a porta potty at the parking lot.

Throughly enjoyed our ride! I had never been on a horse before. Talmadge was an amazing guide!

This place is the best. It is run by a sweet couple.They were very patient with me as I am an inexperienced rider. I was scared of getting on a horse again after a bad memory, but I got over my fears today. I am truly blessed by these kind souls.

Great experience for any type of rider! If your looking for a great way to get out and ride for a few hrs up in the mountains, it’s a must do!
