This place was absolutely beautiful. The view was amazing and the food was so delicious. I don't know where to begin but nothing about this place was disappointing because there are so many things to do and see. Check the calendar for the different events. I will definitely go back because I ran out of time. The place was so clean and well organized. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Beautiful & awesome place…just breathtaking! My husband & I are from Texas, he’s working here & I can to visit for the holiday. We decided last minute since he had time off today to go do something fun, glad we went! Lori our educator on the wine tastings was amazing & very knowledgeable!

Amazing vineyard experience! Our women's book club decided to meet here for a meeting. We had lunch at their bistro and the food and specialty drinks were amazing! Make sure to ask for Cristine as a waitress. She was attentive and patient being that we had a party of 7 women with plenty of wine to drink. They have a variety of wine slushie flavors and truffle flavors. It was so hard to choose. The staff in the tasting room were so helpful with helping you decide on a wine you would actually like! One of the best parts of the experience are the grounds. The vibe is just relaxing with patio sending, pond seating and they even have live music. Perfect venue for any affair! Perfect day trip with your significant other, girls, or family! Definitely planning another visit!

The Bistro had a wonderful lunch for reasonable prices. Afterwards, we got a glass of wine and a truffle and sat outside overlooking the vineyard. Great atmosphere. We came on a Monday so it wasn’t crazy busy.

Wow! This place is absolutely gorgeous! Our Oct. 10th, 2023 visit to Childress Vineyards started with a quick guided tour.

Next on our list was the 'Signature Wine Tasting'. We were told that the vineyard is always packed towards the weekend, but we visited on a Tuesday and it was relatively quiet. As a result, we ended-up having a one-on-one wine tasting session with Sommelier Olga. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and funny. We sampled 5 or 6 delicious Childress wines and both really enjoyed this experience. Thank you so much Olga!
(Oh, and of course we bought some wine exclusive to the vineyard to bring home).

After the tasting, we had a fantastic meal at their Bistro. Finally, we finished our visit by walking around the property and taking it all in. It is beautiful in every direction. I simply can't say enough good things about our time here.

The woman who did our wine tasting was very knowledgeable. We ate at The Bistro, which was very good. All this and an excellent day at the winery. If you like wine tastings in an excellent environment, stop at Childress Vineyards. We had a lovely afternoon.

Simply fantastic! Our group experienced a Tour first, followed by the Signature Wine & Food tasting. Everything about our experience was nothing short of pleasurable for all of our senses! Scenery, knowledgeable/kind tour guide, grounds and facilities were beautiful/well-kept/clean, and THE WINE...THE FOOD...OMG!!! Our pallets were delighted.

It Was My 1st Time Ever Visiting Childress And I Simply Loved It From A Couple Of Hiccups!😔 The Person Who Brought Me For Lunch Is A Vegetarian And Other Than A Salad Or Soup She Really Didn't Have A Meal To Choose From Witch Was Disappointing But We Worked It Out!
Now Or Server ( Chase) Wasn't A Good Server To Us At All I Let Him Know It Was Our 1st Time Visiting And He Didn't Off Anything Or Suggest Anything On The Menu We Asked About Vegan Options His Response Was What's On The Menu Is What We Have He Didn't Offer To Even To Help Accommodate Her Food Needs As Soon As We Sat Down He Gave Us Water Never Asked If We Wanted Anything Else To Drink I Tried To Start Up A Conversation With Him Asking How Long He Had Worked There He Answered 2years And Kept Walking..

The Vineyard was beautiful and breathtaking! Angela was our tour guide and was so much fun! She made our group feel very welcome and was very knowledgable. I will definitely be back!

We recently visited Childress Vineyards for a quick birthday trip. I am mad at myself that it has taken this long for us to get here. Our day started with a reservation at the bistro. Dani was our server and she was fantastic. pleasant, upbeat and full of energy. Was the perfect start to our day. There is not a single thing bad to say about our food. Simply put a perfect lunch. In a great place already expecting the highlight of our visit was behind us we went to the gift shop for a tasting.

This is where things took an unexpected turn 100% for the better. We did a tasting with Gail. There is no doubt that if you come you will find a great wine that will suit your taste. Gail however single handedly helped us have a wonderful experience. She took her time and explained all of the wines to us thoroughly. She chatted with us about life and kids and grand babies and bourbon did not make us feel rushed or hurried. The tasting experience she offered to us was second to none and makes me want to continue to come back just to see her.

It was the perfect birthday visit and a big thank you to Dani and Gail for making our day!

Reserved the Signature Wine Tasting for my Hubby's birthday and let me just say, I was thoroughly impressed!!! The experience was beyond anything I expected. Rhonda was PHENOMENAL!!! I mean truly. She was FANTASTIC!! We laughed, we learned, and we tasted some wonderful wine. She gave us the best table in the place and was knowledgeable and personable which definitely made the experience much more memorable. I definitely enjoyed myself and so did my Hubby. I don't know how I'm going to top this next year!

We have the greatest experience for our first time at the Childress winery. We had a group of 21 ladies, most were family visiting from out of state/town, we booked a wine tour for 12pm. We took a party bus up there, and ran 30mins late missing our time slot tour.
We arrived and went to the front desk but forgot the name of the person we spoke with, who directed us to the wine tour guide Angela.
Angela is so accommodating, she worked us in and gave us a tour after she completed the time slot we missed (12pm). Let me tell you it was soo worth it, Angela is so sweet and made it so much fun for us. The tour is nice and we learned great things of the Childress winery, took lots of great pics … this is one of the nice winery I’ve been to in NC with very great service all around…We will definitely be back for brunch/lunch and just hang out.

I had a lovely wine tasting experience at Childress Vineyards with a few of my friends. The atmosphere was welcoming from the moment we entered the facility. The wines we tasted paired with some food was fantastic. Service was great and very friendly. We'll definitely return and may try the restaurant venue next!

My first experience was great. Especially with Miss. Roxanne she was great with explaining the wine and she had good personality. Food was good & charcuterie board. Will be returning back!!!

What a wonderful surprise for a Friday lunch!
The grounds and buildings are impressive! From the moment you drive up through the labeled vineyards to the time you leave you enjoy beautiful vistas! This vineyard bistro was wonderful. The staff helpful and knowledgeable in selections. The food was prepared to liking and there were many drink selections to choose from including virgin mimosas. We enjoyed our lunch, strolling through the shop and testing some lovely wine and chocolate! 🍷🍫 🍴

I went here for a private tour and tasting with some girl friends. We had an AMAZING time! Angela was our guide, and she was awesome! Very informative and kind. We had lunch in the Bistro, and the food was very good! We will definitely be back when it warms up so we can sit on the lawn. Oh, not to mention we all left with plenty of bottles of wine! :)

Came here last Friday for the first time after having driven past for years. Didn’t know what to expect, so I set the bar low. I was really impressed. The variety of selection was great, and the quality of the wine was actually quite good. I’m a novice when it comes to wine tasting, but I enjoyed the wines I tasted. The tasting which was $25 was more expensive than some other places but I felt that it was worth it. The lady doing our tasting was both knowledgeable and personable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Loved the fact that I got to keep the glass. After the tasting we shared a wine slushee flight, and it was actually quite tasty, and I’m not one to normally drink sweet wines. The grounds were beautiful and there were plenty of areas to sit and enjoy your wine and surroundings. Cannot comment on the bistro but I would like to try it. I will definitely be coming back. Just a quick drive from the Charlotte Metro.

Bethany!!!! Bethany is a great server and asset to Childress. Bethany is so knowledgeable of the winery history, current grounds projects, wines and culture. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and after a perfect afternoon, we will absolutely return with family and friends! Looking forward to the neighboring Holiday Inn reopening for ease of access!

The tour was great and the restaurant a delight. Everything our large group tried was amazing! Great flavors and great service.

Just wondered for this vineyard! Great wines, excellent service! I didn’t have lunch there, I experienced The Tasting wine, 4 types of sweet wine but you can try red or mixed ones. I will definitely come back and bring some friends and family to visit!
