Crystal Pier

Always such a beautiful place to visit. I grew up coming here with my family. I came back today as a local with my Mom. We have such fond memories of the beach here. The pier has grown and changed so many times over the years. We love it here!

Very nice spot to come and relax at Wrightsville Beach. There is usually live music over at Oceanic that you can hear so we definitely enjoy that. The water is gorgeous (especially a couple weeks ago, it literally looked like the Caribbean) BUT it is very busy and hard to get a parking space. A little bit of a walk from road to beach but it is paved most of the way which makes it easier for people that have a hard time walking in sand. There are lifeguards also on each side. BUT people please use common sense and do not try to swim, etc right up under or near the pier! People are actively fishing and that means there is bait and hooks in the water (which, big surprise to some, may cause marine animals you do not want to see to come near, lol) The lifeguards do a great job on keeping their eyes out for those certain people that just don't realize the dangers though, so great job to those guys!!!!! All in all a great place to come....don't forget to bring an umbrella or canopy and waters because that sun is NOT playing!!! The pictures are from Sunday 08/06/2023!

Perfect spot to catch great views of the ocean and a bite to eat. Very relaxing. Easy to find and plenty of parking. The staff are nice, the food is good, prices are reasonable, and again…the views.

BEAUTIFUL pier! This Pier was also used to filming the opening credits for Dawson's Creek! The water was so blue and the weather was so nice with a breeze. Next time we go we want to try the restaurant connected to it.

This pier is gorgeous! I’ve been to a ton of piers and it is very wide. It’s got some seating but it could use some more. There’s always people fishing and taking in the beautiful view. I especially like to come here around dusk it’s perfect. I love looking at the ocean and looking down the beach. My son enjoyed it as well. We come to this pier every time we go to the Oceanic it’s one of our favorite spots.

We spent a few minutes after dinner at Oceanic and got a chance to watch the end of the Lifeguards competition on one side of the pier and surfing on the other. We timed it right and got to see the sunset. The pier is free to the public, and you are allowed to fish. Just don't park in the Oceanic lot unless you are eating there, or you will get towed. There is $5/hr public parking less than a block away.

Attended a salt yoga class at 7:30 on a Wednesday morning. Parking was easy and exercising on the pier made for a great way to start my day.

The #1 reason to live in Wilmington, best time to visit is at sunrise or sunset. So worth visiting when you don’t have to pay parking fees. It’s so peaceful, I would go every time I couldn’t sleep or decided to wake up early. The water is my happy place so Wrightsville always help during panic attacks, high anxiety, depressed lows, etc. It’s empty during the obscure hours and the pier is accessible despite the restaurant location. Love this place.

Love this pier. It was a nice night to enjoy the beauty of the pier.

The location was wonderful. The food was good. Service was ok. Calamari could have been crisper. Fish tacos was nice. Fresh fish not to much batter. Never got to try the She-crab soup..Server never brought it out. But its ok. He took it off the ticket. They were a little busy. But for the opportunity to sit on the pier for lunch was priceless.
Parking at this location is only if you are dinning at the restaurant. Otherwise parking was really hard on Labor day weekend.

It's really pretty here. The beach was packed! Definitely a nice place to spend the last days of Summer this year.

Beautiful beach, close to the road for easier access. Parking is a bit scarce, but we found some fairly close spots early in the morning for sunrise watching
