Alexander's Mediterranean Cuisine

The food at Alexander's is BEYOND! This place is the best kept secret in the Raleigh/Garner area. The food is authentic Greek from a professionally trained Greek chef. Baklava and the salmon main entrees are all exceptional and some of the best I have ever had. We tried most of the entrees sharing with our family. The menu is a tiny bit expensive, BUT it is worth it. We went on a Friday and there was a music artist. He was so awesome playing all the best hits from the 60s and 70s. We couldn't help but sing along to literally every song. Sorry, Music guy, but we loved it. Also, tip that guy because he deserves it! Lastly, the wine and cocktails are perfect compliments to the menu and were so delicious. I highly recommend Alexander's. It has a Mellow vibe, perfect for a date, an older couple date, a business meeting, or just a phenomenally delicious meal. Don't hesitate to dine there. Best for adults, not little kids.

Went for dinner on a weeknight with my family while visiting from out of town and we had a great experience. We weren’t sure what to expect as many restaurants in the area were chains or quick service. Also, we eat a lot of Greek food so this restaurant had high expectations to live up to. However this restaurant is absolutely worth the visit! Our server Michael was very thorough and enthusiastically explained the menu and made suggestions. We were served bread with oil for dipping which was delicious. We then ordered the stuffed grape leaves and spanikopita as appetizers and then our meals were the lemon pasta with artichoke, spinach, mushrooms and tomato, a lamb kebab with rice, and a moussaka. Everything was amazing! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I hold a monthly women’s luncheon at Alexander’s and love this restaurant! The food is delicious all the time and the service is fabulous. It is a wonderful local place to meet and enjoy a fun Greek atmosphere. I highly recommend everything on the menu but my favorite is the Greek salad with salmon. I love Thursday’s half off wine day as well! This is my favorite restaurant in Garner and it’s my favorite Greek restaurant in North Carolina!

The real stars of the show here are the employees. Micheal is very passionate about what he does and he made our lunch experience great!

Alexander’s Mediterranean Cuisine is a true representation and interpretation of the divine food of Greek Gods! The lamb souvlaki with rice, steamed vegetables and Tzatziki was simply the most delicious and delicate combination I have ever had. I highly recommend it to all meat and lamb lovers. The spicy Cajun chicken pasta was yummy as well! The owner of the restaurant, who is also a chef, to my opinion is one of the best Greek and Mediterranean Cuisine chefs in the Triangle Area. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Besides, the chef makes his own delicious desserts (I forgot to take pictures) the baklava cheesecake is one of my favorite! Try and I guarantee, you won’t regret.

We were fortunate enough to have Shawn for our server she was wonderful and really made the dining experience a 10. Went with the Caesar salad and side of Euro meat with tzatziki and it was very good together dipping the meat in the tzatziki, my wife tried the lemon gluten-free pasta it was wonderful mushroom dish with spinach and lots of other yummy things. A nice touch was the warm bread with seasoned oil to start your meal very good indeed.

After spending a day at the zoo in Cameron, NC, me and my wife decided we wanted to try out a Mediterranean restaurant. It was a Sunday around 5:00 pm, so she googled and found some restaurants, but after looking at pictures and reviews we decided to wait until we got closer to Raleigh. She then noticed Alexander's Mediterranean Cuisine that was in Garner, NC which was close to us. The outside looks average but, after entering the door we found a surprise. The restaurant was nicely dimmed with white cloth tables with candles. The atmosphere was very nice and calming. The food was a little on the expensive side but absolutely worth it. I had grouper with lump crab meat and asparagus on pasta with a white wine sauce and my wife had ratatouille. The waiter's name was Michael ànd he was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable of the entrées and ingredients. The service was impeccable and we are definitely going back. Michael mentioned to us that they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays and we should call and reserve on those nights. Me nor my wife had any complaints or concerns about this restaurant. The chef is also the owner, which signifies to me how important the dishes that he creates and serves to his customers. They get an A+ from me!!

What a gem! My goal was to grab a quick gyro from a Greek restaurant close to I40. I WAS SHOCKED when I entered this place. The decor was both tasteful and luxe. My business associate ordered chicken slovaki, and I ordered the gyro plate. We also ordered bruschetta. I was truly delighted with the presentation of each dish. The lamb was simply exquisite-best I have ever had. The service was phenomenal. The price is reasonable (honestly low) for what you get in the experience. I'd give it 6 stars if Google would let me.

My fiance and I were nearby and decided to try this restaurant on a whim. We love Mediterranean food and the food here is by far the best we've ever had. The service and atmosphere made the whole experience memorable. Will definitely be back!

Staff is super friendly, with a relaxed and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. Details down to plating and table setting were enough to impress me, with obvious thought and care. And, most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. Get the chicken souvlaki with salad, it's excellent. Without leaving the country, I'd be hard pressed to find a better Mediterranean restaurant. We will be back.

I’ve had plenty of mediterranean food but Alexander’s is one of the best restaurants in Garner. First dish(picture below) is Salmon stuffed crab cake over creamy gluten free pasta and vegetables on the side. Second dish(second picture below) is grouper over orzo in cream spinach and vegetables in the side. So YES I definitely recommend Alexander’s if your a lover of mediterranean food.
P.s: the meal we had was a special.

The Saganaki appetizer and the Chilean Sea Bass were some of the best dishes I've had in the area.
I'll definitely be returning.
We brought the baklava cheesecake &Ceasar Salad home because we wanted to try them but had to wait because we were too full from the wonderful Lamb Sovulaki, Sea Bass, Bruschetta,and delicious cocktails.
I can't wait to go back!!! 5 STARS

We had dinner today for the first time . The food was absolutely delicious. Our server Michael was so friendly and he explained everything to us . The atmosphere was very nice too . There were live music which we loved . I highly recommend this restaurant .

My wife and I were looking for something different that wasn't a chain restaurant. We were very surprised. The food was absolutely amazing. They brought us some bread with oil.and Italian spice and it was a good start. We then chose the calamari and it was cooked to perfection! My wife chose the veal and shrimp and she said it was one of the best meals she has had out in a very long time. I had the Gyro plate and it was very good. We did take dessert home and was a little disappointed in the cheese cake. I had to throw it away as I think it had been out too long. We will definitely return and eat here again

Loved this place! Best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had! Just went today and had the Seabass pasta, chicken a la vodka, saganaki, mai tai, baklava and baklava cheesecake. I will definitely be going back regularly. Hands down to the chef and the staff is very kind. Especially Michael he is the best server I have ever had. He’s very kind and knowledgeable of the menu. He makes great recommendations. Don’t pass up on this hidden gem in garner.

We didn’t know what to expect have never been here and wondered if Garner could actually have good Greek place, but we went for it and man were we in for a surprise! Place was adorable. Comfortable. Cozy. Waiter was informative and obviously proud (and rightfully so) of his place of employment. He was great! Everything we had was amazing! Start to finish! Food was fresh and so so good! I will return again and again!!! It cannot be beat in the triangle!!! Brava!!!!!

The pictures speak for themselves! But first, some context: I live 60 miles away and I will gladly make the drive to return! This is *high praise* from a foodie like myself who has eaten his way through most major cities in North America and Europe! The food and wine selections are fantastic! I had not eaten grape leaves in years and these 5 large ones made for an incredible appetizer to share. I also enjoyed a traditional dish (Moussaka) which was perfection.... especially with the perfectly cooked and seasoned vegetables! Then, the "icing on the cake" was the cheesecake, made with the addition of some of the same ingredients of baclava, drizzled with honey! My dining partner had the same, but with a main course of lamb shank (and a side of rigatoni in a delicate but flavorful red sauce sprinkled with goat cheese. Bon Appetit!

Ordered a pasta dish as well as the filet mignon w/mushrooms on top. It was simply devine!! I have never been disappointed on my dishes at Alexander. I always purchase their olive oil that they sell and the atmosphere is so peaceful. There is also live music some nights. The guy singing did a magnificent job!!! Will definitely return for more. My next dish will be the ribeye steak. Unfortunately I ate my food so fast I forgot to take a pic.

Excellent service, excellent food, and an amazing wine selection! The servers were very polite and kind. The lamb had an amazing flavor as well as the desserts. We will definitely be returning!
