My experience with Carmax was effortless. When I arrived for my text drive, the car was practically ready. Mac/Saleman was every knowledgeable about the car I chose and with the purchasing process itself. After the test drive, he’d already gathered my paperwork and explained everything in detail. This is a 2nd car I’ve purchased from Carmax; I trust the dealership’s professionalism and the quality of cars available for purchase. We had a really good experience buying our car here. Highly recommended Sammy and team who were very courteous and professional all through the process. The title wasn’t initially shipped with the car which we had ordered from a different location and they tracked it down right away and made sure we could take delivery as soon as possible. The whole purchase process was very smooth and the car was cleaned and detailed to look brand new when we took delivery . Overall very satisfied and recommended this CarMax location and Sammy if you are interested in buying a car .

I bought a vehicle from Carmax 3 weeks ago. The process was smooth, the price on the vehicle was good, and the trade-in I got for my former vehicle was fair. About a week and a half into owning the "new" car, the heating/air started acting up. Since it is in the 90 warranty, I went online to CarMax to schedule service. I was directed to a third party auto mechanic, who found several thousand dollars worth of other issues that they said CarMax should have seen and addressed before putting it on the lot to sell. I was devastated at the thought of CarMax not agreeing to fix the vehicle and me possibly having to "settle" for a different vehicle since the one I purchased was a limited edition (the main reason I bought it). Thankfully, CarMax agreed to pay for all the repairs. Despite my disappointment in my car being in the "shop" for over a week and having some major issues, I feel as though CarMax truly stepped up. I didn't have to pay a penny for the repairs and have gotten my car back. CarMax made a "right" from a "wrong". I will purchase more vehicles at CarMax.

I’ve bought at CarMax before but It was my first time selling a car there without also buying one. I was amazed at how easy the experience was, and was pleasantly surprised that the whole process didn’t take all afternoon like I was expecting. Everybody I worked with was very nice and professional. CarMax’s offer was fair and ended up being the amount that I was hoping to get (trade value). If I need to sell a car in the future I will definitely be back!

Through the years we have purchased several cars from CarMax and each time have been pleased with our experience. They certainly have better quality pre-owned cars than other locations. The ability to shop online and then go and drive your favorites is nice! And- be open to searching the inventory at other CarMax locations. I did a transfer this time from another site- and was very pleased! Salesman Chris Jones is great to work with.

This was BEST EXPERIENCE we’ve ever had buying a car. I have always been skeptical to purchase from CarMax..and honestly I wasn’t sure why but I’m happy we did! We did mostly everything online and when we got there we were in and out within an hr. We were helped by Page and he was awesome. So friendly and helpful! Didn’t try to sale us something we didn’t want, he listened to us! Im still in shock how SMOOTH and FAST the transactions was! We will be doing future car purchases at CarMax from now on. Found the car I had been looking for at CarMax in Raleigh. I scheduled a test drive online, which reserved the car for me and kept other potential buyers from being able to jump in line. The 24 hour test drive allowed me to spend some time with the car and make the right decision. The buying process was no-nonsense and straightforward, and the standard warranty sealed the deal. The service department has been great, and when they were unable to diagnose a problem with the car they scheduled an appointment at the dealership. Will definitely recommend CarMax to anyone and everyone!

I easily found and purchased a car through CarMax and appreciate the ease of being able to do so. When I decided the car itself did not fit my need I brought it back with NO HASSLE... then selected the next vehicle through them and am happy with this one.

This was the third vehicle I purchased from Carmax. They once again did not disappoint.

They replaced part of the steering column when inspecting the minivan after buying it. This took about a week. They felt bad making me wait. So they refunded me The $250 that I paid to have the van shipped to a Carmax location close to me. They didn't have to do that but I appreciated it all the more.

Although buying a used car can be risky I am convinced that with Carmax you can be assured that they will deal honestly with you giving you a vehicle with no hidden flaws. That peace of mind is the biggest reason I will be a lifetime customer of Carmax.

In the past, I have always removed the dealership name from the back of the vehicle after buying as I do not offer free advertising to some auto dealership.

However, with Carmax I leave the decal on the vehicle as I want the public to know where to buy their next vehicle from.

Came in with my fiancé to test drive a CRV we saw online. We were greeted at the door by Chris Jones. He was spectacular. We test drove it, liked it, and purchased the vehicle all within 2-3 hours. The vehicle was dirty, and Chris made sure it was cleaned to our standard before we pulled off the lot.

Experience was great. Did express pickup and paperwork was waiting on us. Took less than 10 minutes. Everyone at the dealership was friendly and helpful.

Non stressful. Found a vehicle I liked online on Tuesday that was in Maryland. It was in Raleigh on Wednesday. They called me Thursday and said it was ready for pick up. I had very brief conversations with Carmax representatives and most of the business deal was taken care of online. All I did was came into the store, inspected the vehicle with a visual inspection, didn’t even test drive it although I could have, made the down payment and signed the purchase agreement and was on my way out of the door.
Did notice a slight problem in the right wheel and noticed the vehicle could use a wheel alignment. Made a service appointment and everything was taken care of. Easiest and most non stressful vehicle purchase I’ve ever made. Thanks Carmax Team..

I love my new used car. I got a great deal from Carmax and they brought my car all the way from Florida. I couldn’t get Johnson Lexus to bring me a car from Durham.

I just want to say that this was the best first experience I’ve had with buying a car! Nathan was my salesman he was never pushy and was always honest and candid about the process. I never once felt mislead or taken advantage of! The process was quick, easy and painless. I was in seriousness need of a vehicle and going to CarMax was the best decision I could have made! Best car buying experience ever. I did most of the work online. When I went to the store to pick it up, I was driving off the lot in 45 minutes. Everyone courteous, helpful, and best of all - NOT PUSHY. Never was asked to upgrade, add-on, extend.... so different from any other dealership or car lot.
