This place has never disappointed me. Wanted pizza and MOD across the street was closed midday for some odd reason. Ended up here and never looked back. Good food. Even better prices. Fresh. Made to order. Reminds me of NY.

The staff were incredibly friendly and quick. The pizza SLAPS and is amazing, I would definitely recommend. Definitely one of the best pizza places in Raleigh.

My absolute favorite pizza spot! Family owned. Ive made Fridays the official pizza day so I can come here for pizza. I don't eat pork but I can still get pepperoni and sausage because they use beef and turkey and it's soooo delicious! The sauce is yummy and the crust is yummier. My family loves it!

That’s my type of pizza, thin, not greasy, good crunch. Cheese and sauce all the way up to the crust which is really good

Recently moved close to this area and chose to try somewhere new - other than the regular pizza chains. We were glad we did as the pizza was amazing. The crust was so delicious and perfectly cooked. I can tell the ingredients are high quality. When I arrived to pickup my order the lady up front was very friendly and personable. Will definitely be returning and recommend coming here if you have never tried it.

Love Max’s pizza!! We usually get a pepperoni and love the thin slices and how great the crust is. It’s reasonably priced and while we live close I would still drive across town for their food. When you find something you like, stick with it. I do wish they were open more on the weekend especially Sundays which is our favorite time for pizza, but it is still great! We will be branching out to other menu items soon.

Fabulous. On time, friendly, good range of options, good quality toppings and not stingy with them. Head and shoulders above the competition and not a punch in the wallet. The only place I order pizza in Raleigh. A+. Please keep up the good work, folks.

My absolute favorite pizza place in Raleigh. Amazing value considering they actually have the old school large pizza that probably fits better in the trunk than the seat! NY Style with just enough of everything to make it perfect. My only complaint...they aren't open Sundays! But hey, with pizza this good being closed Sunday only makes you want it more on Monday!

FYI--edit: I've read previous complaints about delivery taking about 45 min. I live about a 1.5 miles away and will say 45 min is an average delivery time--but keep in mind, this isn't production line pizza with 20 delivery drivers! I often order from the pool during the summer, the drivers are always accommodating and the pizza always gets there hot enough we've gotta let it cool down. Be patient with the delivery, I promise it's worth the wait!

Both my garlic steak pizza and chicken wrap were delicious! Their crust was so crispy and the wrap was packed to the brim and never fell apart. Will be returning to then instead of Domino's.

Been a frequent customer now for 15 years! I absolutely love this place! The owners are the most friendliest people, always smiling. The food is beyond great! The quality of the products you can taste and tell the difference. Probably one of few places in Raleigh that use beef pepperoni and beef bacon!!! Forever a loyal customer .

I lived in Raleigh for almost 4 years now and I always struggled to find a good slice of pizza until tonight when I ate at Max’s Pizza. Boy let me tell you this is the spot to go! Pizza was 10/10 and the wings were cooked to perfection. Good Job everyone from Max’s!

My first time here and I must say I am very pleased! I ordered the veggie stromboli that had fresh tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, green pepper, and onion! It was tasty, the sauce was not too sweet (which I like)! I will return soon as my boyfriend and I are pizza lovers and I think I have found a gem here in Raleigh. Try them, you won’t be disappointed❤

Max's is our go to neighborhood pizza place in the area. The pizza is great the rest of the menu is great as well. A good variety and a fair price. The gyro is delicious. They always get our order right and deliver timely and hot. We prefer it to Mod pizza any day.

Just moved to Raleigh from South Carolina! We stopped by Max's and ordered a large Garlic Spinach pizza (which was very delicious, definitely recommend it!!) and 2 calzones for our daughters. It was a family run business which I am fond of and they were very welcoming. The young girl in the front, which I assume was the daughter, was having a conversation with us the entire time!! This was a great first for us in Raleigh and now our new pizzeria!

I order here at LEAST once a week. Their pepper steak supreme has been my brother and I's staple, just recently I've mixed it up after a couple of years and got chicken instead of steak for the pepper steak supreme, absolutely delicious too.

I want to shout on the mountain tops about their pepper steak supreme!

This place was delicious! Ordered a small spinach garlic pizza and small chicken Stromboli it was enough to feed two people 2 times! The crust was crunchy and perfectly cooked and the toppings/ inside the Stromboli was filled perfectly! I will 100% be back!

I’ve taken Max’s for granted for years, so I’m overdue giving them their props. We love their thin, crispy crust and homemade sauces that make for delicious pie. Check out their calzones and subs, too. If my office weren’t so far away, they’d be a lunch staple.

The hot subs like steak and cheese as well as chickensteak and cheese are absolutely amazing and great deals for the money. Gyro is great too imo. Pizza is most definitely classic NYC style, I'm not sure what the other reviewer is imagining. I grew up in Jersey with plenty of authentic pizza joints around and went to the city often. If you're a northerner and want some nostalgia it's a great place. Wings are a good deal, I haven't tried pasta dishes, and the cold subs tried are okay. Max seems like a really dedicated hard working guy, and his family/staff are always nice
