Texas Best Smokehouse Travel Center of Henrietta

THE perfect stop if you want to get gas before Wichita Falls. They are very welcoming the moment you walk inside! It’s a combination, Texas smokehouse, Pilot\Shell, Stuckeys, and Steak ‘n Shake, therefore, they’ve got everything you need! TONS of different drinks and nibbles for the road trip. Oh, and there are Tesla charging stations outside as well. They’ve really got it all, and the bathrooms are excellent!

Disneyland style gas station, because it's Texas. I can't even begin to list everything they have. Bbq place inside, great smoked brisket. Definitely a worthy stop if one is traveling, but they did have the highest price for gas out of the entire drive from Houston to Denver. One of the pump hoses didn't look safe. They did have actual windshield fluid and not just actual water, so that was nice as well!

AND a dinosaur parade???? What a fun surprise! Great smoked meats, fun souvenirs, clean restrooms. Definitely a new regular stop point. Husband had been nostalgic about Stuckies.

During my recent visit to Texas Best BBQ, I was thoroughly impressed and left completely satisfied. The restaurant’s warm ambiance immediately set a welcoming tone.

The customer service was a standout feature. Brandy, who assisted me at checkout, was incredibly friendly and efficient, making the entire experience seamless. Her cheerful demeanor and professionalism significantly enhanced my visit.

Furthermore, Hunter’s thoughtful gesture of letting me sample some of the food before I ordered was a delightful surprise. As a first-time visitor, this act of kindness not only made me feel valued but also helped me make an informed decision about my meal.

Speaking of the meal, it was absolutely delicious. I opted for a mix of potatoes, mushrooms, turkey, and beef. Each item was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavors that spoke of their high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. The turkey was succulent, the beef was rich and tender, the potatoes were perfectly seasoned, and the mushrooms added a nice earthy touch to the meal.

In conclusion, my visit to Texas Best BBQ was exceptional. The combination of outstanding customer service and mouth-watering food makes this place a gem. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and family. Hats off to Brandy, Hunter, and the rest of the team for such a memorable experience!

It was nice to have a hot meal on the road. The BBQ perfumes the air as soon as you open the door.. the store is well stocked and has nice clean restrooms. There is also a steak an shake at this location.

Best stop on 287! Ashley is always there to greet me and the guys with a smile. She makes it feel like I’m walking into a friends house! Always quick to jump on a register to make sure everyone gets taken care of too. They’ve got clean restrooms, good food, and plenty of fuel pumps and parking. We travel all over Texas for work and this place is by far one of the best places to stop in. I highly recommend y’all check it out!

Driving past and needed to pull over and rest a little bit... I was so excited to find Texas Best Smokehouse at the Shell station! I've been to one in East Texas and I'll just tell you right now, wherever I find one, I'm stopping for their brisket! It was about 12 bucks to get a half pound brisket sandwich. You can get sides too but I chose not to this time. They've got wonderful stuff everywhere! Cowboy hats, Mexican blankets, various types of fudge, Cinnabons, stuffy- stuff everywhere! And outside they have some wood benches and swings and things! Oh my goodness! If you haven't been here you need to come!

Lauren was the cashier and she was super friendly. Awesome smile and definition of hospitable! I stop here a lot on my way to Wichita Falls and Lawton for work. It’s always clean and everyone is friendly. I pass many other service stations to come here. Keep up the great work. Thanks.

We stopped in for dinner on our drive home to Colorado. I got the Double Barrel baked potato with chicken, and oh my goodness, the chicken was some of the best and most tender I have ever had! And the seasoning on the chicken was really tasty. The potato was delicious as well, with the perfect amount of melty butter slathered on it. Can’t wait to stop in again!

Clean bathrooms, reminded me of a Buckees. Small dinosaur park, great for pics.

First time I stopped at that Pilot, DAMN Impressed with Texas Best Smokehouse, the ribs were done to perfection, the sauce/ rub had a kick to it and the green beans were snappin' fresh!!!
Definitely going to make this a regular stop when passing through!!! Good Job!!!

Large, nice, clean stop for your road trip. Excellent BBQ, extensive convenience store, lots of indoor and outdoor decor, beer and wine, gas and diesel, Tesla charging stations, etc. The large wooden swings were pretty nice, with multiple different designs.

This place is great! Nice people and clean restrooms. I enjoy coming in and talking to Ashley. She’s always friendly and smiling, really brightens up my day! They got some pretty good barbecue too!

Phenomenal, tender, flavorful… simply amazing food! Definitely the best American BBQ ever !!!! It was so good I didn’t have a chance to take good pictures before it was devoured!!

This place is a must experience. We were just passing by and stopped for potty break and snacks. We decided to try the pulled pork sandwich and the 5 rack of beef ribs with sides. Simply delicious, we ended up getting a full meal for each of our 3 boys and ate there. Then we got a few more to go!! Best smoked bbq house ever!! The staff is super friendly and it's very well maintained and managed. The best gas store we have been at and we road trip a lot. They also have a Cinnabon! And we got a box and a couple of other goodies. Super excited they had this in there too.
Seriously, if you're around stop by and have some amazing smoked bbq and delicious sides with great service.

I always stop here to charge my car when I work nearby, it's the best spot along 287 to stop and rest. The bathrooms are always clean and nice, there is good choice for food and snacks, and the staff is always very friendly with all guests. The dinosaurs are awesome too!

Destiny. Ever since y’all added her as an employee I get a happy, warm welcome into the store as I grab my energy drink. I truly think Destiny has positively impacted this work environment!! Thank you so much for her!

Just stopped for the first time at this travel stop and was so pleasantly surprised! If you are hungry on a road trip- this is the place to stop! They essentially have a food court on the inside with Steak N Shake, Auntie Anne’s, Cinnabon, and a BBQ joint. They also have all the other standard gas station snack foods, sodas, and candies. They have super clean and large restrooms as well! Also, if you are a Tesla owner then they have about 10 different station for you to charge your vehicles.
