Oh, I was taken by surprise been a Bucces fan, of how delicious and tasty and filling and Affordable their barbecue sandwich was. I dare to say their BBQ sandwich is better than Bucces! Make sure to get it extra pickles !! And pick up a bag of semi peeled pecans for the road! P.s! Restrooms are clean too!

It’s a great place to stop and stretch your legs. Lots of random Texas themed here and pecans. They have samplers so you can figure out which type of pecan you’d like. They have sweet and savory pecans. The staff is very friendly and the bathrooms are clean. It’s next to a giant Texas sign which would be good for pictures.

What a unique shop! Get some gas, a breakfast sandwich (excellent, by the way) and, of course, some Pecans! They roast, toast, coat, flavor and candy those nuts in house. There are samples of everything, so you can find your favorites to take home. I chose the small size packs of the 4 Texas styles they offered. I liked the sweet and salty North Texas and the Spicy kick of the jalapeno in the South Texas pecans the best. They have a buy 4 get one free deal that the cashier told me about, so I got a fifth, naturally. If you like country kitsch, or Love pecans, you have to make this stop! What else are you going to do on that stretch of 287, anyway, just drive by? That would be ludicrous.

We love to stop here on the bike between Burleson and Childress. He loves the coffee, I love the fudge and the store, it's kind of like a mini Cracker Barrel with cool stuff.

This is my favorite place for a pit stop. The bathroom is always clean and the fresh pecans are awesome.

Lots of rustic stuff, if you like Texas decos, it's your place. As it was mine. Also anything pecans there. We got a 3lbs bag.. our first time there, we enjoyed our visit. The employees there are very polite as well.

Don’t miss this stop. It’s like a Hallmark store, a Texas gift shop and a gas station. Oh and they have homemade pies, locally grown pecans, and Texas’ very nicest people. You can get locally smoked sausage and locally made cheeses. Plus you can get Texas gifts for your aunt Mabel. And coffee for yourself for the rest of that drive into Fort Worth.

Best place to stop on my way from DFW to Clarendon. Clean restrooms, lots of snacks, my son says the burgers are yummy! The pecans are delish!

I'm addicted. The praline pecans are like crack. OMG. I always swear I'm only getting one bag, then I walk out of there with 2 bags and some fudge.

Delicious pecans! Ice cream, gifts and gas. Nice pit stop! Friendly staff! And the longhorn bull on the wall is not for sale, his name was “left turn”. :)

Very friendly staff with an abundance of things to look at and purchase homemade goods as well. I tried on some of their fudge which was very good it wasn't overly sweet it was just right. I purchased a pecan roll which is like brick heavy but it looks delicious. I mean it's overloaded with caramel and it was fantastic. I also tried their turkey special which is a cold cut sandwich with cranberry pecan relish I guess it's a special thing only done for the holidays definitely recommend it it was delicious

Best fudge, really good burgers, they are also a great giftshop.

We had no idea what a treat we were in for!!! Stopped for coffee on the way home from camping and hiking at the Wichita Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma and the Pecan Praline Coffee is Delicious!!! Clean and friendly.

Just stop here, it's totally worth it!!! ! It's consistently outshone the other places to stop on 287, from Dallas/Ft Worth to Amarillo. I've been traveling this road 18 years, I know what I'm talking about.

Third stop and second for the day. I can't believe it, I still haven't found anything to whine about, this alone is amazing!!! The store was spotless, cool, the employees were friendly, and the hamburger was beyond delicious. It was like an old timey burger from the drive in. I think the pickles are fresh fermented or German. We'll be back! Warning though, you will have to eat in your car, no dining. But I prefer that when driving.

This was our second stop. I will just say, ditto from my first visit review. But I can add, they don't scrimp on the AC. It felt so wonderful walking into that cool store!!! We got a breakfast sandwich this time. It was delicious! No old grease flavor or that flavor you get, from a not well cleaned grill. You better get them to cut it in half, it's big. And the Coke is still delicious!

We just stopped to get gas and take a potty break. THE ENTIRE STORE IS CLEAN! It looked clean, smelled clean, and the floor was clean! It was busy too. It has a rustic, quaint, and modern atmosphere. They have great souvenirs and knickknacks to purchase. The beverage dispenser was clean, and does not leave that medicinal whang of not rinsing the soap off of the parts. And the Coke had a good carbonation burn, with solid Coke flavor. This is important for road travel. They have a good snack selection too. On my return trip, I'm getting a pig picture and caramel popcorn. I have a new place to stop, we will be back! Ohhh, and the staff was so friendly. They looked at you when they spoke to you!!!! This is just a great little place to stop.

THEY QUIT SERVING THE GRILL AT 2pm.

My son and I were traveling from Lubbock, Tx to Atoka, OK .We had several unfortunate events occur, at one point we stopped for gas and something to drink. I had never been to the Pecan Shed before, I was a fun, clean environment so we felt somewhat better. It was only when I noticed the fudge counter and the lovely lady behind it that I started to perk up. Her name is Suki and when she talked to us a wave of friendly, caring hospitality rushed through me. Of course she had no idea the effect she was having on me. I tried so hard to leave her a tip but she was so very graciously refused to take it. We ended up hugging and she ask me to just leave a review if I felt like it. All of the ladies there were wonderful. The stop there and Suki turned out to be the motivation and renewal we needed to carry on. I thank you all. You never know what is going on in someone's life and to be so kind and generous to everyone is a gift. I could tell it was who they are and not just the job. I so hope your company cherishes the ladies. Thank you all so so much.

Best place ever!! I stopped by here during a trip and I tried samples of chocolate covered pecans, and fudge. I bought several things! I will definitely be coming back!!

I really really really love the pralines back there where the ice cream is. They're almost like eating homemade icing. They're delectable!!!! Other than that, they have a lot of gift items, a drink fountain, snacks and PECANS PECANS PECANS! Really worth a stop if you're in that area. (Clean restrooms too)

Clean restrooms, fun shop. A good reprove from staring out my windshield. Will visit again.

Lots of Texas knick-knacks!! Texas made wine, good choices for breakfast, lunch and dessert. Friendly staff. Nice, clean restrooms.
[Edit] I forgot to tell y'all about how good the fudge is there!! Wish I had my car to take that 5.5hr drove;having a craving for it right now! They let you get samples and the breakfast kolaches were awesome!

My Very favorite place to stop when we drive From Dallas to Amarillo. So many unique gifts for all ages and all price points. The Jars of Salsa we bought and the different flavors of Pecans were Amazing. I highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area. I will return anytime we pass through!
