After being initially lured to other shops by free beer or discount cuts, I’m so glad I eventually found the Handsomizer - he is a pro and gives a pro cut. Beyond the expert cut, I also think what Stephen does is really special—the fact that he opens himself up to the public is somewhat humbling. But of course he does! Because he’s not only a master barber, world-class musician, and unofficial soccer mascot, he’s an amazing human. Stephen is a very talented barber who has created the perfect little shop with all the vintage equipment. The atmosphere is thick with history and an appreciation of the barbering arts. Stephen is the consummate conversationalist, knowledgeable about so many things and just plain fun to talk to/with. He specializes in the most current hairstyles of urban males, but he certainly branches out from there! You can easily book a time slot on his website. European soccer is almost always on his TV in the background. I hope you get a chance to experience getting Handsomized!

Stephen's a great barber, and knows how to have an engaging conversation. You have to book online to make an appointment. I'm pretty satisfied with how my haircut turned out - he made sure to ask questions and cut according to what I told him. The only thing I'd say is the approach to the parking is a little steep but that's not in his hands.

I couldn't give this barbershop any higher of a review. Steve is a local guide, a master barber, and a hell of a nice guy all in one. I was in town for a short period, looked up The Handsomizer and made an appointment. Steve was professional and was able to point out a number of local attractions all while giving me one of the cleanest haircuts I've ever received. Thanks Steve!

took my 2 year old nephew to get his first haircut and stephen nailed it. so so good with kids. made him feel comfortable enough to somehow sit still the entire time. such a great experience.
