Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery

We have experienced three funerals in the past two years and Memorial Oaks on Eldridge and I-10 has provided excellent service and care. They make you feel like you are the most important client they have and are available to answer all your questions no matter how difficult or menial. They work diligently to accommodate all of your wishes from the beginning of the funeral process to the final moments at the burial site. They are extremely knowledgeable on all things associated with this sad process and will guide you and give you advice when needed. I felt like they truly cared about the loss of our loved ones and were part of the family

Our account representative, Chase, was outstanding. No high pressure on anything. He just laid out the options and let us make the decision. Unfortunately we have experienced several funerals that have all been handled by Memorial Oaks and their customer service has always been top notch

Memorial oaks cemetery have given us good service. I love that their office is very welcoming and had good amenities. No complains for us. There was a challenge with our father’s casket going down - it did not go down smoothly, it took a while and some of our visitors left because of this …. That’s the only part that did not go well. Otherwise everything was good

Memorial Oaks is a first-class Dignity Funeral Services location. Destiny and Bruce became almost as family during our journey. There was great value beyond the cost of the services. They work hard to earn your trust and it seemed they had our best calibrated interest at heart. The convenience of having the services, the viewing, the burial, and the reception all at the same location was the absolute best feature of the celebration of my mom. The attention to details that were important to the family and the story were meaningful to all of us. It was a great experience.

Unexpectedly my other parent died within six weeks. The relationship that we established with Dignity continued in a very caring and loving way with great understanding that losing a second parent is even more difficult than losing the first one.

Destiny Moore has to be the most perfect fit for her role. She is committed to serving in whatever capacity is needed in the moment. As we said when we parted ways this last time, we have become friends but we want to meet on other circumstances than the loss of a loved one.

Memorial Oaks Funeral Home is so kind and thorough. They took care of everything they could and it sure helped with saying goodbye to our Mother. I recommended them highly for any of your funeral needs.....from beginning to end

"J like the letter" as he introduced himself, is a very friendly face in a very serious environment. He helped my family prepare for the worst, but somehow made it fun. He explained just how much goes into this. It is overwhelming and scary, but because of him we don't have to think about dying and can just live. Thanks to Jay and this beautiful facility I know we will rest in peace.

I really love working with Jay and Joel from planning for my mom's funeral arrangements to her final resting place, in her beautiful glass niche. They both took such good care of us and her that it felt like they are part of the family. Their professionalism is outstanding. I will recommend anyone who's needing help with their loved ones to look for them. You are in good hands.

The staff at Memorial Oaks took such great care of every detail for my Dad’s service. They were always attentive and kind. My guests were very impressed and I received so many compliments.

I just bought a niche there for my mom. Jonathan is very helpful. My dad and I were also impressed with the view and the maintenance of the place. I’m glad I found a new home for my mom (and I know she’ll like it) and I’ll be able to visit her as often as I can.

Chase at Memorial Oaks helped our family in time of need just before I lost my wife to Alzheimer’s. He helped us make choices concerning the location of the burial site, type of grave marker, coffin & vault, scheduling a private family member graveside service, interment rights and funeral home arrangements, all with being the most cost effective for our family. I recommend Memorial Oaks for meeting your needs when making final arrangements for your loved one.

We had a good experience. We really did not have experience arranging a burial for a family member. We had looked at one cemetery and did not have a good impression of the grounds. When we came to Memorial Oaks we knew this would be the place to lay our loved one to rest. As a result of this experience, my husband and I made our arrangements at Memorial Oaks as well.

Chase Alvey was great. He helped me from the very start to the finish. He also helped me 8 years ago with the loss of my younger son….

One of the most premier funeral homes here in Houston. The service from the staff is beyond amazing. Attention to detail is superb. The cemetery is very well kept and appears that no expense was spared. Stacy at the front desk was so pleasant and knowledgeable. She provided me with a map of the grounds and answered all of my questions.

I have meant to write this review for a year but just remembered to do so on the 1 year anniversary of my brother in law’s death. The experience although always traumatic when losing a loved one was lessened by the compassionate and professional assistance of Destiny at memorial oaks! Every request was met with her making every attempt to meet or exceed expectations! The services from the viewing to the burial was beautiful, respectful, and truly a tribute to my brother in law’s life. My sister and I had so many people tell us it was the most beautiful and expertly planned service they had ever attended. Everyone loved the round decorated banquet tables that invited socializing and support for friends and family. The life story presentation with his many awards, mementos, and photos was extensive but they were able to set up on several tables and all around the viewing area. The Texas Liberty Mausoleum was very elegant with a formal touch! I can not praise Memorial Oaks and Destiny enough! Destiny was so supportive and helpful every step of the way! If you want a 1st class celebration of your loves one’s life this is the place!

We were on our way out when we were stopped by Heather Ross; she could’ve easily let us leave since this location was above our budget. But no, she stopped us and had us come back inside. She then shared information and made a call which got us on the right path to planning our father’s funeral. We are grateful for her service and knowledge in such a difficult time.

Update: we got off to a rough start but I must say that I really appreciate that Tracy went the extra mile for me tonight. Today is the 3rd anniversary of losing my dad. I called this afternoon to find out what time they closed. Tracy made some calls to keep the doors open until 7:30 so I could come see my dad. I greatly appreciate the customer service.

I am shocked and saddened by the horrible customer service. My father passed away in February and was entombed here. Chase sold my dad on the purchase and Linda was in charge of arrangements. After several weeks, my dad’s name was still not up so I went into the office and asked. The woman I spoke with said she would call to follow up but never did. A few weeks later I called and left a message for Chase, no reply again. It’s May 2nd. His name is still not up. I walked into the office looking for Linda, Chase or a supervisor to give me an update. None of them were available again. The lady at the desk told me to call tomorrow. She showed no sympathy nor did she even pretend to take down my information like her coworkers did.

No hard selling . Everything was explained carefully and you are given options depending on your budget. Also, your needs at the moment comes first.

I do give them 5 star because during my most difficult time Chalet and staff were amazing,seeing how beautiful my daughter memorial was and making our decisions the comfort we felt,I wanted to thank them!

Highly recommend. They took great care of our loved one, and explained everything in depth. Services provided by memorial oaks staff was exceptional, and we couldn't be happier. The Services went exactly as planned with no hiccups along the way. Funeral Director Steven, and Pre-need counselor Savi did a fantastic job. We truly appreciate it.

No words can describe how comforting, calm, and kind Mindy Kim was. She deserves more than 5 Stars. She knew exactly what we were going through. We really didn't have to do much. Everything was taken care of from the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. All the crew members were so wonderful.

My father's funeral service was done at Texas Liberty Chapel Mausoeumand. This place was so beautiful with a big window looking out the pond. The service went extremely well, and lots of guests complimented how beautiful this place was.
I'm so glad my father wanted to be placed here at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
