I had my first baby here last month. It was not what I had hoped/planned but everyone there made it the best experience it could have been. The nurses were all so attentive and caring and answered all of my questions, they educated me so nicely. The hospital itself has no weird or strict policies either. You can definitely have the birth you want if there’s no complications.
Will be going here again whenever I have another baby!

Incredible experience with my induction that was only scheduled an hour before I arrived (got diagnosed with preeclampsia at 39 weeks). My L&D nurse, Lilly, was a godsend! She knew I desired a natural labor as much as possible and helped made that happen! She advocated for me to have intermittent fetal monitoring and guided me with different positions to help me dilate and bring baby down. Not only was she an incredible nurse, but she was so fun to chat with! Laboring for 10 hours unmedicated is hard work, but Lilly made it fly by. I’m so grateful for her and everyone on staff at BUMC’s L&D!!!!

Baylor University Medical Center has proven to an excellent choice in labor & delivery and postpartum departments. Their staff and how they train them is a standard all hospitals big and small ought to learn from. My wife was considered a high risk patient thus complicating the pregnancy. When no other hospital would take us, Baylor chose faith over fear. We received the most generous, kind, and considerate service from ALL the staff. I wish to honor all those who's names and faces I remember. There are some whom I only saw once and because of this, I was unable to write your names down but we remember your faces. You know who you are.

Dr. Clanner, for encouraging us and teaching us valuable information
Dr. Payne, who decided to take our case by faith
Dr. Kogutt, for encouraging natural childbirth as a priority
Dr. Cooper, a genius, genuine & true doctor in all respects

Dr. Jeffrey, Full of empathy, consideration, and kindness. She is a leader and would make an excellent example to follow.

Nurse Hope, For her witty responses and an awesome sense of humor
Nurse Jenna, for her cheerful kindness
Nurse Hannah, for her secret giggles and awesome personality
Nurse Jenni, for being sensible to our needs
Nurse Janae, for bringing that "Chicago Jazz" (Insider)
Nurse Carmen, for serving with regal meekness
Social Services: Tameka and Elizabeth who diligently sought our good day and night. They are efficient!
Nurse Karen for being an absolute sweetheart and getting us pumps!
Nurses' Sarah and Sarah for being awesome in helping us transition
Nurse Kaylee for praying for us and encouraging us to push past the complications we faced
Nurse Ashley for helping us transition out of discharge!

Special shoutout to:
Master Phlebotomist, Legendary Leo! Others ought to learn from his example in how to use needles properly!

Doreen for sharing her story with us and encouraging us.

Giselle and the entire nutrition staff for making amazing meals that actually taste good in a hospital setting!

Nurse Emma Kate, for being an absolute all star and a strong encourager in the faith. She reassured us when things weren't looking up and it helped us to proceed ahead by faith. We wouldn't be here without her.

Nurse Holli, for sticking with us during the labor process! She stayed and saw us through the end! She kept a calm demeanor despite all the crazy emotions that were in the air. Girl, you rock!!

THE DREAM TEAM: Dr. Junior & Nurse Rebekah Reimer
Dr. Junior served with a spirit of excellence and a consideration that is to be admired. Truly wise beyond his years at such a young age. He lives above reproach and is a shining example to all young doctors out there.

Nurse Rebekah Reimer also served with a spirit of excellence. With a delightful countenance, her keen eyes to detail, meekness, and kindness, she is exemplary in every way. She has a true nurse's heart and makes for an excellent leader and example to follow.

Together, Dr. Junior and Nurse Rebekah was a powerhouse from start to finish. I was amazed to see the synergy among them and how one's set of skills and being complimented the other. I would highly advise both Baylor University Medical Center and other hospitals to learn from them in learning how to create an efficient and effective team.

Thank you everyone at Baylor University Medical Center for ensuring a safe pregnancy and a wonderful experience. Jesus clearly has his hand of blessing over this place! God bless you all!

Wow! What an amazing experience we had here. From the moment we got checked in to the moment we checked out everything and everyone was pretty amazing. Mia and Teresa in labor and delivery were so thoughtful at always making sure I was comfortable, couldn’t have asked for better nurses to help me welcome my baby boy. Once in our postpartum room the nurses there were also amazing, thank you Kiya, Kisha, Kacie, Ginni and everyone else that helped. Thank you also Maria for making sure our room was always clean too. And also all the help we got from the lactation lady’s like Amy. Everyone helped making having my first baby such an amazing experience. I definitely recommend having your baby here. Thank you again.

First time giving birth and I received excellent care here delivering my daughter. I was induced and had an uncomplicated delivery, but I'm confident we would have been well taken care of if anything had gone awry. All of the doctors, nurses, and staff were professional and made me feel comfortable. The anesthesiologist was awesome and placed my epidural perfectly with no complications. I would feel comfortable recommending this hospital to anyone giving birth.

This was my first baby and I would 10/10 recommend delivering here due to the amazing staff I had.
As soon as I arrived I had the best L&D nurse
Alise who was not only super supportive but kept my mind at ease. Anything she was doing she would first explain and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I did end up having a C-section and knew the recovery was going to be rough. Once I made it to postpartum I was again was blessed with two great nurses Kelsie and Helen. Both of these wonderful nurses were so hands on with me and made me feel as if my baby and I were their number one priority. Helen always knew how to calm my first time mom concerns and she was so perfect with my baby. I also want to give praise to Karen the lactation RN who came and showed me the ropes of breast feeding. She was so sweet and genuine and really took the time to show a new mom how to properly breast feed. Thank you to the amazing Baylor nurses for taking such good care of me❤

Had my first baby here 2 months ago and I don’t regret my decision of coming here. I did a lot of research beforehand & I am happy I chose this hospital. The staff took great care of us & were consistantly checking up on us and the baby. Sandra, our nurse actually delivered our little Nate 😅 and we spent a total of 2 and a half days here. We even got stuck in the elevator on the way back up from lunch but the whole experience was memorable. Thank you Baylor!

I gave birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl on 2/13/23. The experience I had was everything that I wanted it to be. When I made it to the hospital, I was already 6cm dilated. I gave Nurse Carmen my birth plan and she had sure everything went as planned. Being that I was having a unmedicated birth, she was very hands on with me using all equipment and getting me into different positions to help the baby come. Nurse Carmen was so amazing that I wish somehow I could give her a thank you gift.

Went in for preeclampsia symptoms and was just given the best treatment ever. They even made sure I got to see my OB’s resident Dr while there and he was so kind and really understood what I was saying. They got my blood pressure down and made sure I was comfortable. The room was clean and super nice. I am so excited to give birth at this hospital.

My wife and I had the horrific experience of delivering a stillborn baby here, but the staff was just so kind and knew exactly how to handle it. They tended to my wife's every need and knew when we just needed space. When we're ready to try again, this is definitely the place we will be going.

We had two amazing experiences welcoming our children to the world at Baylor - the first in 2019 and the second during COVID. I could not have imagined a more professional, empowering experience every step of the way. My husband and I were blown away by the kindness and helpfulness of every single member of staff from checkin, to Sarah and Missy in Delivery, the cleaning and cooking crews, and especially the opportunity to deliver in the hospital setting with Dallas Midwives Associates. The nurses, pediatrician and consultants who looked after us were all phenomenal human beings. The experience was a full on retreat for mama and we will be forever grateful.
