I recently visited Sugar Land Memorial Park and was thoroughly impressed with the facilities. The park is spread across 150 acres and features 2.5 miles of walking and biking trails that offer scenic views of the Brazos River 1. The park is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekdays and till 8:00 PM on weekends 1.

The park is well-maintained and has a lot of amenities to offer. There are benches throughout the circular trail surrounding the lake and a small gated off playground for the kids 2. The lake in the park is surrounded by a walking trail, and one side is where the pavilion, bathrooms, and playground are. The other side of the lake is wet marshland. There is a sign posted up to beware of alligators. There is actually a stone alligator near the pavilion and lake 2.

Overall, I had a great experience at Sugar Land Memorial Park and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic place to spend some time outdoors.

This is the only dog park we go to these days. We went most recently on Christmas Day and it was clean, quiet, and had a handful of dogs for mine to play with. There is a dog wash (hose and links) station outside of the gate. Be careful if your dog can't swim - there is a pretty steep drop off that caught my dog by surprise and she knows how to swim.

Simply a beautiful calming area, if you like greenery & water views. Multiple doggie 🐕 parks. Biking 🚲 trails & covered picnic area & a good play area for children. They also have kayaks for rent. I enjoy watching the bunnies 🐰 butterflies 🦋 & many noisy insects chirping during my walks 🚶‍♀ 😀

It was beautiful, clean, and peaceful. We went last week Thursday for a nice long walk around the lake. We got to see many wildlife including deer, birds, turtles, and even a bull frog.

Great for nature lovers and multiple activities. Fishing in the pond or on the Brazos River, walking, kite flying, mountain biking (WARNING- This one mile trail is full of poison ivy and oak, if your allergic to this plant avoid this trail. It's found all over the mountain bike trail but the trail It's self is the only part that is not cover with this plant.) dog walking and much more. Normally I try not to go when it's busy like the photos I took where when people are still at home. Two public restroom, two pavilion, multiple benches, two parking lots, when busy, people park on the grass when they shouldn't but I never seen to be an issue. One of my favorite places to visit and go with friends and family.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise to find such an incredible park in Sugar Land. We had been to the "Pawm Springs" dog park there in the past, but had not explored the rest of the park, so when we finally took a tour of just the front part of this massive park, we were blown away. Definitely dog-, kid-, bike-friendly, this park has a lot to offer and plenty of space to spread out and play with the pups or kids, picnic, fly a kite, ride the off-road trails, rollerblade and even kayak. One of our favorite discoveries was of the Memorial to US Armed Forces troops and families from the Sugar Land area. We are looking forward to returning with our bikes in the near future to explore the rest of the park. Do yourself a favor and take a drive to Sugar Land Memorial Park on a lovely sunny day. You won't regret it.

This is a wonderful park! They have walking trails, bike trails, playground, picnic area, pavilions, dog park, and more! It’s a great location to fly some kites, kayak on the pond, or just lounge around on a blanket with a good book. The possibilities in this lovely park are endless! Very family friendly or individual friendly.

Such a lovely, open space.

Great for all ages. A lot of room for runners. There’s also grassy areas if you’d like to have a picnic. Covered benches as well.

The playground isn’t that big but kiddos didn’t mind. Can be pretty busy on weekends.

The Sugar Land Memorial Park is awesome. Miles of running, jogging, walking, and biking trails that wind around the expansive lake. Picnic pavilion with grills, clean bathrooms, handicap parking and accessible areas. A neat playground.

The park is easily accessible from University and offers several miles of gravel trails that circle the lake. A large covered pavilion with many picnic tables and BBQ grills. The bathrooms are adjacent to the main pavilion as is the playground.

There is a good number of parking spots that feature designated handicap spots along the front.

Well maintained overall with multiple benches along the lakefront trail, as well as several single table pavilions. They allow launching of kayaks and canoes along the lakefront.

The park also features a memorial to the US Military.

Dog friendly.

We really enjoy this park. Great to take the dog and kids for a walk. Nice calm water to practice paddling. See lots of people fishing. The playground is nice and well maintained. They are doing some upgrades currently. Can't wait to see it when it's done. We usually visit the dog park when we are here but it was closed for upgrades.

Sugarland Memorial Park is a BEAUTIFUL place to visit and walk, run, or kayak. There is also a playground for the kids next to a pavilion for families to gather. I would highly recommend taking your pets here as there is a large dog park as well. I would recommend this place to my closest friends and family.

Nice park! I love that it connects to Brazos River Park now. The pavilion is perfect. Pretty walking trails around the pond. I used to like the dog park but some of the people their are kinda stuck up and bring the vibe down.

I love this park! The cons are that there are zero shade trees along the path. I'm sure there were many large trees before the city came in to build out the park and the walking trails could have been built around some amazing trees...but that's not what they did. Boooo!

There's about 3 miles of trails around a small lake. Along your walk, or jog, you will find a butterfly garden, a playground, a monument for the Army (it was so hot when we were walking that we didn't make it to the monument).
