The Base Restaraunt & Bar

First time we had been there. When we first got there, the hostess to a few mins because she was on the phone. Once we were seated, Paige was our waitress and she was AWESOME!! She was friendly, cute with our daughter and she was knowledgeable with the food. The starter filled us up so that main food didn't all get eaten but was still delicious! It is a clean and put together restaurant. There's more dishes that we want to try so we will definitely be back!

The rebrand has served this place well! The steak and pork belly kebobs were so good I didn't even get a picture. BBQ Bleu burger was awesome. New place. New menu. Give it a go.

Food was delicious. Service was friendly and amazing. Food and drink menu's had a lot to choose from and many exceptional items available. In the end actually didn't cost as much as I was expecting. Cool aviation and sports themed atmosphere with lots of TV's. I'll go out of my way to go there again.

I have really enjoyed the three times I've eaten at The Base since it's location of the former Boston's restaurant. Great service and meal selections!!! This time I enjoyed the Steak and Pork Belly Kebabs, Delicious!!!

Was impressed with food. Service seemed standard, but food quality was great. I ordered the ribs, and they were huge. Little on the fatty side, but overall happy with the experience. Mac and cheese is a must too. Definitely coming back.

Incredible selection from seafood to pizza! It's amazing and I've never had a bad meal choice there. They are friendly and professional, it's just a great place to relax, enjoy good company and good food!

Fun place, cool atmosphere. Josh was a great server. Pizza was yummy. Cheese curds were yummy.

The Base is The Best. I love the atmosphere and customer service. As a veteran, there is nowhere I would rather go eat with my family or sit with a pal to have a cold drink. Best place I have to go relax and have a good time in Layton.

Nice restaurant, separate spacious bar area, plenty of TV'S, great selection of brews and good food not to mention a friendly staff.

I've only been here once but the base burger was very good and the fries were excellent. Service was spot on.

It was a Boston's Bar and Grill at one point, but still, quality of food has gone up, they have great service, and probably the best Swiss and Dip I've ever had. 10/10 would definitely visit again, as long as I have the money. It's a tad pricey, but the food definitely makes up for it!!

First time here since it changed to The Base. Their dinner salad was good and the Halibut and Fries was OK.

Our new favorite place! I wasn't a big fan of this place when it was Boston's but it is now top of my list. Not only is the food better the service is insanely good. Been here 3 times and each time the service was amazing. Best Philly Cheesesteak around! I wish they sold the jalapeno sauce they serve with it. The Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer is interestingly delicious! The Pizza was perfectly cooked and piled high with toppings. Fairly good selection of beer on tap, although I wish they had more dark beer choices. I hate to recommend this place for fear it will get too busy to get in!!

It was a great restaurant and it had really good food. I would recommend it if you want to try something good.

The Base was pretty good! We ordered chicken nachos as an appetizer and they were huge! The best thing though is that they were actually tasty. The portions for all our main courses were big as well. If you go, you definitely need to try the fries! The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. My wife and 2 kids all agreed that we would be back.

I wanted to leave a good review because my wife and I had dinner here last night and both meals were great. Staff and food was more than satisfactory. People are comparing this place to Bostons. Both are/were good in many ways. A change since five or so years ago (at Boston’s) when my daughter would asking me why the girls cloths were so small. Yeah, bits changed since the old man was running things. Seemed to be more family oriented now. More restaurant than bar so it seems. Five stars for now, I want to try some of the other delicious looking food for a true opinion.

We tried it because we wanted to support local but now we will definitely be back. We ordered some boneless wings for an appetizer and they were unlike any I have ever had. A super tasty crunchy breading that wasn’t overly thick and amazing sauces. I had the club sandwich and my wife had the margarita flatbread. The flat bread had a delicious garlic sauce on it that was very flavorful and my club was assembled perfectly and served with the nice crunchy fries everyone always hopes a restaurant has. Prices weren’t bad at all either and the staff was friendly and the restaurant itself was clean and had a nice layout. Comfortable chairs too which I appreciate. We will definitely go back to try more of the menu.

We had a wonderful experience here! Super great food and we had an even greater server. Faith took care of us for the night and did an excellent job, she had the best attitude, she was super caring and we really felt she did everything she could to make us feel comfortable! Very sweet girl and gave off great vibes! Thank you Faith! I’ll always ask to sit in your section from now on.

We really liked this place. So sad to hear they are closing. French onion soup is awesome. Pizza was awesome. Hamburgers... You guessed it, Awesome! Best of luck to these guys. Hope to see them open up somewhere else one day.

The pastas were amazing!!! I’d compare to Cheesecake Factory. And the pizza was fantastic! Our server Emily was amazing and super helpful on guiding us through the menu. The restaurant was super clean. The overall experience was fantastic we loved the jambalaya pasta. Definitely try that and the blueberry beer on tap!!!
