Nice place to walk or birdwatch. Ponds concrete trails, dirt trails, creek, lots of trees. Very pleasant. Several sitting areas, play eqmt for kids and one picnic type shelter.

Went to check out this nature center for it's trails. There's ponds that you can fish in and great source of small scale wildlife.

So many opportunities for bird watching, other wildlife sightings, fishing, trail walking and exploring nature! It doesn't feel like you're in the middle of a neighborhood at all. I love this place. Do be careful of snakes and poison ivy and wear insect repellent.

The Colleyville Nature Center is an excellent place to bring the family. The playground and pavilion at the entrance of the nature center doesn't do it justice. Mill Pond has a small dock jutting into it where we saw at least ten turtles swimming in the water. We saw two ducks that promptly waddled into Herman's Pond next to Mill Pond. On the other side of the ponds was a pathway that led into a maze of pathways and bridges near Little Bear Creek. We found an open air pavillion with benches made from wood sitting atop rocks. There even was a man made bat house near the open air pavilion. When we followed the trails to the east we found another pond at the end. Next time we will go further along the trails to the east to find the other three ponds shown on Google Maps and then go west to see the five ponds shown on Google Maps. It was quite drizzly the day we went so we didn't need to imbibe in any of the water we brought but I would suggest to bring some any other day since we found no water sources anywhere in the nature center. Lastly, we saw there were public restrooms near the playground.

This park is a restful place. Several ponds to fish and sit by enjoying the peace and beautiful surroundings. There's a playground by the parking lot and restrooms will be soon completed. Picnic tables and benches sprinkled throughout the park. So many different trees, shrubs, birds, ducks- a perfect home- school field trip or weekend outting. You will not be disappointed!

The Colleyville Nature Center is a great place to escape into nature! Even though the trees didn't have their leaves yet, it was so beautiful! I love that this place is so close; it is tucked away in a neighborhood so you don't hear many cars driving by. Most of the trails are not paved, but the ground is packed down quite well so it is almost as if they were still paved. There is a small pavilion and playground by the parking lot, and just inside the wooded area there is an amphitheater with stone benches. There is not, however, a bathroom so you'll just have to make sure you plan accordingly.

Great place to go fishing with the family, and everyone is always so friendly. My most recent visit we caught 20 fish!

Literally 20!

It's also a very nice place to relax and meditate without fear of someone randomly approaching you.

Best park in DFW! This is our go to park, so many different species of birds. Today was our first time to visit after a snowfall.

Great place to hike both on sidewalks and dirt trails with several ponds, a creek, and lots of birds and squirrels. Nice hike where you are in nature.

This is one of my favorite urban nature centers, and it's a draw for bird watchers and photographers from all over. Quiet, peaceful walking trails, several ponds, and lots to enjoy if you're a nature lover.

Shady trails and a long, paved sidewalk around many ponds with tall trees, ducks, geese, turtles, fish, birds. The playground at the parking lot has a restroom, water fountains, a dock with a tall railing around it in the pond.

This is a great park with trails and bathroom facilities. It is not busy because it is kind of hidden. The bigger ponds have great fish in them. I have caught nice sized catfish because they stock it for the kids tournament every year.

Such a peaceful place with the tall trees, creeks, and ponds. I've always loved spending time here, walking around, seeing the wildlife, and now they just built these bathrooms and water drinking fountain!! A++ community too

Great walking paths, nothing difficult at all. I saw lots of birds, squirrels and even a couple of grass snakes. Walking by the creek is nice after a heavy rain. The paths are nice and wide, so avoiding puddles isn't much of an issue at all.

If you like urban hiking, this is a great safe place to do it! If you like birding, it's definitely a great place, for all seasons! In the spring time, it can be a great spot for warblers and in the winter, it's good for sparrows, Hermit Thrushes, etc. One pf the more reliable spots to see the skulking resident (year round) Brown Thrashers. Has a resident pair of Red-shouldered Hawks and in the spring & summer, it hosts nesting Mississippi Kites! It can get really muddy after a rain, but otherwise, it's a great birding spot!
