Smithfield Methodist Church

I still love this place. But I'm a lil' bias, I've grown up here, in more ways than one.
We are very mission oriented. There's a free monthly farmer's market, first Saturday of each month. We also have a back pack mission. This helps ensure children in need have something to eat over the week end. We also feed/cloth the homeless.
If you haven't figured it out, Methodists like food!🤪🍽 And there is so much more here than just that!
If you find yourself reading this, I encourage you to come to a Sunday morning service! 8:30 is a traditional service. And 10:50 is our contemporary service. Both of course are child friendly and offer a nursery for the tots! On Wednesday nights we have a meal at 5:30! Once again Methodists=Food🥴

This is followed by some children's activities, including Youth up to Grade 12!
If you feel alone,, Please come be a part of our family! I personally know the feeling all too well. After losing my wife to West Nile back in 2012, loneliness just about consumed me. This church is a testimony as to why I still walk the earth today. This is my family. This is my home. 💚

We have only been a member of Smithfield UMC for a year. Truly it is very active in providing so many services to our community and others. Our pastor is excellent, and the people are loving, kind, and truly wonderful. If you are looking for a church i would highly recommend ours.

Found this place because of a friend. Looked at the reviews and they are all true. Everyone is SO welcoming. I had been looking for a place to call home with myself and my girls, and I think I found the place.

From the time we started to attend, the church has been welcoming and warm. God has blessed us with this beautiful church.

I can't speak for the entirety of this church, but my son attended a week of VBS here and I will never send him back. My son wore a mask because he is under 12 and unvaccinated. The adult teachers in his class told him he did not need to wear a mask because he was being lied to about covid 19 and that it is fake. They told him the numbers were not rising and that it's all a hoax. I can understand if you personally don't want to wear a mask, but covid is something my family will take seriously. we didn't send our kids there to be lectured for wearing a mask. We sent them there to learn the word of God and how to be understanding of others. Something this church needs work on obviously.
