Everything about our experience was amazing from the first encounter with them to the end. Lofty and Mark were genuinely caring, easy to work with and went above and beyond to make the process as easy as possible.
Lofty made sure everything was the way we wanted it. And, when we made changes he handled it immediately without hesitation.
Mark took the time to get to know us and about Martha's life and made it so personable about her. You would have thought he was a lifelong friend. When we first met with us, he told us he wanted to honor her life and did he ever! We couldn't have asked for a better tribute for our mother.
We will forever be grateful that in one of our toughest times they made it easier.

During a very hard time for our family, Lucas made the process of accepting our Mom into their care in a timely and dignified manner, and were with us the entire way through the steps for our Mom to travel to her final resting place in Ohio. We were shown respect and compassion all along the way, and the whole experience was made better by Ed Mangham, who did an amazing job orchestrating the entire travel plan. We were very much at ease that all would go off without an issue. We are very appreciative of the great care for both Mom and our family.

They have also been helpful after the service and have answered any questions that we have had. Lofty Harper was amazing to make everything go smoothly. An amazing staff who helped me plan and carry out services for parents who passed away 3 months of each other. Eddie was calming and so kind I couldn’t have done anything without him. The entire staff is wonderful!

We have had some very nice and traditional services and one non-traditional service that we needed help planning and they really knocked em dead with the planning and preparing. I could go on and on about Lucas Funeral home. They've helped my family through loss for over 50 years! I lost my mother just a few weeks ago and could NOT have done this without Crystal. She has been a planner, a counselor, a therapist, and an advocate. I could not have had a better person to guide me through this and, of course, the Lucas family has been right there with me also. The very last thing anyone wants is to have to plan a funeral for their loved one. I certainly wasn't expecting to have to be doing that any time soon but unfortunately I lost my husband January 25th. Lucas was my choice for his service and I was extremely grateful for their support and compassion and for basically holding my hand through the entire process. I felt like so much was lifted off my shoulders knowing that they were taking care of everything. The service was exactly what I wanted it to be and I felt that they captured my husband's personality perfectly even though they had never met. Lucas also looks out for you after the service. They have been in contact with me and checked on me several times in the past month. They really do care.

There’s a reason my family keeps using Lucas Funeral Home after decades. They have always met our expectations and keep getting better. My brother passed on January 2, 2022. Lezlie was just amazing! Crystal kicked in when Lezlie wasn’t available and was just as amazing as she was. From assisting us at the viewing to making sure everything was moved over to the chapel for the service and making it look beautiful! I walked in the day of the service thinking I was going to have to fix pictures and items I brought. NOPE! Lezlie had them all set up and beautifully displayed. I was in tears for the assistance I was given and they totally exceeded my expectations! The slide show was put together perfectly!

We cannot say enough good things about Cheryce. She was WONDERFUL. She took care of us for all 3 of the funerals we had for loved ones in Feb, March and April. So appreciate her professionalism, efficiency and personal "on hands" care. She was there to make the arrangements, guide us and then hold our hands through out the services. Am so grateful she is the one who took my Mom to San Antonio for her inurnment. I needed her wonderful support one more time to make it through that service. Thank you for hiring people like her. She has become one of the "family"!

When my mother passed a few weeks ago, Lucas Funeral Homes and Jenna Vanloon were extremely respectful and patient and kind. I'm the only surviving member of my family, so I had to make all of the arrangements on my own. Lucas Funeral Homes took much of the burden off my shoulders and helped facilitate a memorable service for my mother. For the past several decades, all of my family members, as each one passed away, has been buried by this wonderful group of professionals. God bless them and the vital service they provide to countless families!

Crystal had taken care of arrangements for my father last year and did a great job at making a tough situation seem easy. I called her again this year when another family member passed away and again she did a great job. Everything was taken care of and I was able to take care of myself and my family.
