Both of my boys have graduated from Discovery School and loved all their teachers!!! I have a two year old who has come so far since starting. She is talking more and more each day. I love the staff and the school!!! I have found nothing but a caring, loving group of ladies who truly care about all their kids and their learning experience while having fun!!!! I can’t wait for my other daughter to start this fall. I would highly recommend Discovery School as a quality preschool.

We've had two children spend their preschool years with the amazing, loving staff at Discovery School. Last May, our first son graduated from Discovery School after four years under their care. This year, his transition into kindergarten at Green Valley has been seamless and we owe a great debt to the educators at DS. We'll be sad when little brother finishes up next year. I highly recommend Discovery School to anyone in the area looking for a Christ-centered, family-like learning environment for their preschooler. You can expect nothing less than exceptional care for your child.

We love Discovery school. My oldest son went here last year and they did such a good job preparing him for Kindergarten. He has been so successful this year and I attribute a lot of that to Discovery school. My younger son is attending this year and we have already him signed up for next year as well. I wanted a preschool where my kids would learn, have fun and want to go to school each day. This has been exactly that. My son loves to go. We love the administration, Mrs. Janet and Mrs. Holly love the kids and I love sending my children to a preschool where I know they are loved and cared for. I can not recommend this preschool enough.

This is our second year here at Discovery School! We left a Mother’s Day out program to start here and it was the best decision we have ever made! The teachers, staff and all the parents are wonderful. When I drop my kiddo off at school, I leave knowing he is having the best time ever while learning and there are no worries he isn’t being taken care of! When the kiddo is super excited to go to school and Learn, you know your at the right place!!

Thanks discovery school!

Several generations of the family kiddos have attended Discovery because of the values and true caring of the educators. We drive past many schools closer to our house, but if you want to have children be the focus of their growth and development, then send them here. If you need flashy playgrounds, iPads and TVs to teach them then go elsewhere. This school is about teachers engaging children and their cognitive skills. True interpersonal skills that kids need so much in their early years of development. We highly recommend Discovery!

We have 3 children and all have attended Discovery School over the past 8 years and all have had wonderful experiences! They are top notch! From the staff to the organization of lesson plans, activities and overall feel of the school, we were never disappointed! It's evident the staff truly cares about the betterment of all the children in every way!

Our last will graduate this year and will begin kindergarten next year, but I'm confident in saying our oldest two have been more than prepared for kindergarten. Our current kindergarten teacher even said that the children who come from DS are always well prepared for their start in elementary school. It speaks volumes when an educator (not affiliated with the school) is able to praise a pre school for ability to prepare the children for their elementary education!

We will miss all the teachers, Mrs. Janet and Mrs. Holly so much! We feel so fortunate to have found Discovery School and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the perfect place to begin their child's education!

Discovery School has been an amazing school for both of my children! They have both learned so much and look forward to going to school each day! The staff members at Discovery School are compassionate and caring towards all of the children and their families. Everyone at Discovery School goes out of their way to ensure our children are well taken care of while in their care! I could not ask for a better set of teachers for my children! This year we have Ms. Tess/Ms. Kenzi and Ms. Beverly all who we adore very much! If you are looking for a Christian based/family centered preschool this is a wonderful place!

Discovery School at Smithfield UMC in North Richland Hills is a top notch place for early childhood learning! Students learn through educational play across all areas of the curriculum. Children are challenged and engaged in learning with the help of a caring staff. The curriculum begins in the 2's classroom and continues through the pre-k classrooms to ensure that students are prepared to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond. Great foundation for learning. Both my children have loved Discovery School and their awesome teachers! Could not have found a better school!

We are so happy to have found Discovery School! When you walk through the doors, you instantly feel warmth and love for all that walk through. The curriculum is purposeful and engaging. The teachers and director communicate frequently so you always feel in-the-loop. You can’t ask for a better faith-based learning community for your pre-schooler!

This is our first year with Discovery and we couldn’t be happier. Our daughter was shy and very quiet. All the teachers have been extremely patient and warm with her allowing her to open up and come into her own. Now when I pick her up from school, she talks the whole way home, telling me about her day. She can’t wait to go to school everyday.

This is the first year our son is attending pre-K. He absolutely loves coming to school and loves his teachers. As a parent I do appreciate the fact that they practice religion into the curriculum everyday. Helps the children build character and I enjoy seeing his programs he does. Each teacher is excited to teach the children and they offer options to help the children at their pace. This school is family oriented and is the best school we have attended. Thank you discovery school and keep doing what you do!

I probably don't have enough room on here to write what a terrible experience occurred at this place.I was not really going to send my daughter to school this year but I started toying with the idea about two weeks ago and looking into it. I met with a lot of schools in the area and I initially liked this place after meeting with the director, Janet, and being shown some of their marketing binders of lesson plans and photos, and of course other facilities being full when I started researching schools so late in the game- Trying to pick the best of what was left. It went South at meet the teacher. I try to give the benefit of doubt because she's been a teacher for over 20 years, and some of her students from last year returned to her classroom this year- Who knows it by choice. Our experience with Miss Tess was terrible. At 1:1 meet the teacher she did not even speak to my child or me. It was very awkward and so I finally tried to ask if you questions and was met with pretty much no response about how they would do letters or any type of curriculum. Other meet the teachers I've been to teachers seem happy and excited to be there and engage with the children and try to tell the parents about how the day will go or what not. Teachers in the neighboring classrooms were more excited to engage with my daughter than Miss Tess. I would've asked to switch classrooms, but the other classrooms nap. When I brought up my concerns with the director and told her I was still going to attend another school meet the teacher night- she promotly emailed me "if you need to meet with other schools and teachers then we are not the place for you I will return your check." I was 99.99% sure we would not be attending the school after Miss Tess. However, all the other schools encourage me to tour other places and meet teachers etc. All programs start different weeks and have different meet the teacher scheduled so sometimes it's hard to pick a school if you've not been able to examine all options. The school does not support parent and teacher communication does not support having a parent feel comfortable, and does not address Parent concerns with what their child will be learning. The rooms are dirty and the rooms are about the size of a bedroom. The school does not support nutritious eating habits and ostracizes families that try to instill healthy eating habits in their children. When I initially presented my concerns from meet the teacher with the director, I honestly expected a reply of like oh I'm sorry I am sure everyone was just nervous or some kind of explanation or something to make me feel comfortable-and said it was almost like a cold response if you need to look other places then don't come here -that is not supportive of anything Not impressed- have nothing bad to say about the other eight or 10 school that I talked with other than maybe did not care for the daily schedule or the start time or something like that. This was the absolute worst of the worst in the area. I cannot imagine leaving my daughter here every day feeling like she'll be so neglected it was heartbreaking it made me want to cry. Luckily I'm a stay at home mom and I do not have to be forced into see my child there, or anywhere, and unless I absolutely love it. Good luck to those of you that enjoy it there are better options in town-which might be why they have openings and everybody else is waitlisted this late in the game.
