Good place to get lost in the woods with your dog, or camping I see a lot of RV overnight it’s quiet for the most part besides your random gun shots at night from off distance? Idk but clean up after yourself keep it looking nice!

Lots of dogs and people walking. Very active and enjoyable place. About 20 parking spaces.
There’s a gravel trail that goes around the park and then there are other trails that other people have explored. My son took me on one of the other trails. It was getting close to dark so we didn’t walk far.
There are no lights in the parking lot out near the trails. No mile markers either that I noticed.
Recommend to come anytime during daylight hours.

This is such a nice park. I went for the first time and I enjoyed every minute of it. My dog loved the freedom and the friendly dogs that were playing around the trail. Super cute, chill vibe and it’s perfect to get your steps in as you take in the view.

Construction to remove roads from the old neighborhood is on-going so be aware as it affects parking of truck and trailer, and only one road in now instead of 2. That being said it is absolutely lovely right now. Wildflowers water win-win! Fun FREE place to ride, hike and play!

What a beautiful park they are still working on it and have some amazing plans for it. We came out for movies in the park. I didn't even know it was out there. We lived back in that area and used to bike ride the back roads. It was nice to see how much has its changed. It was nice to see they used some of that beauty for a park. My grandson definitely enjoyed some of the games they had for them to play while out there. They had port a potties out there that were nice and clean still. We didn't get a chance to adventure much since we got there at dusk. We have plans to go back for another movie in the park next month. I am looking forward to the future plans they have for this park.

Lots of trails! I went on a beautiful Sunday and I only saw one person. I found deer prints and there’s lots of trees and green area. It was quiet and big enough to feel you’re really in nature for a while.

We love this park! The trails are fun and there is a rock path across the creek. Bathrooms are sparse to nonexistant. What is great about this park is the trees and beauty of untouched land. Many pet owners come here, so beware of dogs running off leash sometimes!

I have been horseback riding at this park for many years. Fantastic equestrian trails with miles and miles of riding through tree covered, shady trails providing protection from the Texas summer sun. All trails are packed dirt. No rocks so horses need neither shoes nor boots. A couple of creek crossings give horses a chance to water. Part of the park is in a flood plain so if there was been heavy rain there will be lots of flood debris. Also, even a small amount of rain will cause the creek crossings to be hard -- going up and down is very slippery and muddy. The creek is usually on a few inches deep most of the year. Trails are maintained by a couple of local groups so they get mowed and cleaned. No charge to ride here and no check in. There is an informal equestrian parking area (Wild Onion Dr.) at Trailhead #2. Trailhead #1 (Onion Creek Dr) is the Dog Park Path entrance. With the construction temporary done on the Nature Center there is a Trailhead #3 off Thraxton Rd. and Nuckols Crossing.

This is one of the better parks near Austin. If you like geocache there is a great mystery cache project here.

This place is awesome! The pups and I were out adventuring around town and came across this amazing greenbelt. Truly feels like a Texas landscape.

I like this park good large grass field if your a cross country runner or run in general. And the trails loop around to make a big loop.

New favorite spot to run. Not hardly a soul in sight at 1pm. Please only visit after 2pm. I like being alone.

my dog and I each picked up a tick on the trails- just FYI to remind you to make sure you check yourself and your pet after going into the (any) woods

Always clean place to come and do your outdoor favorite exercises or play with your furry pet. Love that this is so close to my house and a reason to enjoy nature

Lovely park. Lite construction in distance. Open fields, not a lot of noise or many congregating folks. Golf in foreground, great place to bring off leash pups

Really nice, secluded trail, especially if entered from the corner of Nuckols Crossing. There is a dog park with ample amount of parking located at the trailhead on Onion Creek Dr.

I always love my time in this park. Most of the trails are partially shaded and it's a very dog friendly place to go. If you do go on the hiking trails be ready to get your feet wet because some of them have a minor to moderate water crossing.
