Rudy in Planning and Permits was very professional and helpful during the planning process.

It’s so cute at night time it’s lit up perfect and during the day it’s managed well.
Parking is sparse
I’m new and younger then most home owners
So when I went to register the water bill under my name they didn’t make me feel awkward like where’s your mommy lol
I was treated respectfully and they were SO helpful . I needed that ! Oh and something cute and funny there’s two ladies there where you pay utilities and one has Everything PURPLE and the other has all office supplies in PINK. I’m curious to see how long they keep the theme going :)

I give 5 stars to Tj Byington. She had a rough start but got the information and came back with a wonderful attitude and a sincere apology!

They don't give you a specific details to pull permits so you have to make several trips and every time is somethings else.

It's a small a city with ill equipped city employees. The city employees prioritize harassing residents instead of solving crimes. Prior to living in this city, I never heard of a police officer conducting investigations solely from an office desk but officer Kyle Mayfield #683 with the NRH police dept seems to genuinely believes that's how investigation should be conducted. It's a small city with older homes; older homes require more love and care meaning permits required which will require you to encounter Cindy Garvin who works in the building inspection dept. If you were reincarnated and came back to Earth 3 times, I guarantee you that you will never meet a more nasty and ugly behavior individual like Cindy Garvin. She is a broken vessel who never experienced joy in life and bent on inflicting that pain on everyone she meets. City of NRH doesn't want growth, not interested in helping it's residents, try your luck with either the city of Watauga or Hurst instead.

If you have a neighbor that parks a modified car out front. You will Not get any help. Especially from the police here. Even when the police have decibel readings that excede the city noise ordinance. (They did help that way at least). They still won't enforce the law unfortunately.

Spoke to cindy in permits departmen asking about a permit. She had the most unpleasent attitude ive ever encounteted living here in NRH. I asked her how much a permit would cost she said she doesn't know that I would have to go to the website. She explained to me once only on what forms I needed. I asked her where can I get the forms she said I can get them from the website I asked her where in the website she said she didn't know. I asked a second time on what all documents I needed to provide she became agitated and said I already explained to you even though she only explained one time.

No bike parking here for the public(the employees have a private location) even though it sits right between 2 bike trails. The Director of Public Safety suggests bike riders lock their bikes to the "No Smoking" sign.
