Publix Pharmacy at The Shops of Lake Tuscaloosa

Publix pharmacies have never done me wrong, and this one is my absolute favorite! Started going here bc they had the cheapest generic prices when I was paying cash, but even though my insurance pays now, they're still my favorite. They've never made a single mistake (even when I made mistakes on my end with dropping off late or other inconveniences for them) in my years of going here monthly for meds and vaccines, and the workers are all so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Best pharmacy I've ever been to!! The pharmacist is very knowledgeable and professional.

Any time you call for a prescription it always an hour and a half ! Tried to get flu shot there and they said it’s a 2 hour wait ! Who is going to sit in a grocery store for that long ? Went to the new store on mitt Larry road and got the flu shot in 5 minutes! I will be changing pharmacies!

The woman who sits at the window and takes one’s drop off prescriptions (I know y’all know the one) is very rude. I dread dealing with her each month. She is lazy, condescending and tries every way in the world to find something wrong with my scripts so they cannot be filled. I have, actually, had to go back to my Drs. office twice in one day to have date script was written AND/OR date script was to be filled written on the script…… twice in one day. Isn’t that in Publix’s computer? I’m the customer and I pay Publix a lot of money each month for my prescriptions. There are plenty of pharmacies in Tuscaloosa ……so, I would think Publix management would want to find a better public representative for their pharmacy than this woman? I’m positive they are, quietly, losing a lot of business because of her. Let me be clear, the actual pharmacist is sweet and very helpful. Actually, I don’t know how the pharmacist works with Miss Grumpy every day.

This location is poorly managed. Most of the staff is very rude and would rather set behind the counter and laugh and joke instead of filling the prescriptions. Unfortunate because I live 2 minutes from the location but it’s time to find a new pharmacy.
Update, over the last year this location has done a much better job with the staff and professionalism.

It's bad when your scrip gets sent in at 11 am an you show up at 4 pm and they tell you it will be 45 minutes before its ready. What are yall doing in the 5 hours in between? I know you are not filling that many people's scrips........????????? Do you need to hire more help? Cause we paying way to much to have to wait like this. Side note....lol. the lady that normally checks me out on Sunday when I buy groceries is the one that looked up my name to see if it was ready.......
