Austin Foster Park

Large park area nearing five acres. Large grass area used for events and sports. A baseball diamond in the northwest corner and the field area used for soccer and football. A playground on its southern edge and a paved walkway around its parameter. In 1934 the land was acquired by the board of education and in 1965 the Chicago parks begin leasing the land, installing playground equipment and a baseball diamond by 66’. Officially transferred to the parks division in 1991 further upgrades have continued. The park now has new lights, a new playground and newer and more mature trees. A nice respite from city life and a great place to stretch your legs.

Nice little park with a older and younger kid play set. Don't find many parks for 2 year olds but this had a little-er play set that mine enjoyed. Good Parking as well. Not too busy.

Park was clean. All four of us had fun. Lots of different things to try! There were benches if you didn't want to chase your kids around. There are also apple trees surrounding the park!

All my grandkids love this cute little park! It's just right for them all! They always beg us to stop there!

Nice park. Has a playground for kids and soccer fields.

They just put a new street over there, new asphalt. Nice and smooth. You can walk around the park 2.5 times and it will equal a mile. I like it.

Nice park for children’s

Rarely too crowded unless during a ball game. Ok playground. It could stand some landscaping but it’s a good park.

Clean and safe. Two important things that any play area has to be. Austin foster is both. It's in a great area, and the structures (play buildings? what are they called) are fun, colorful, and well-designed. Even with a crowd there's enough space and things for kids to do. Just remember to keep eyes on your little ones. It might be in a good area, but you're still in the city. 😏😊

Great place to take your children to play it Austin Foster Park , families are friendly with other children to play with their kids the playground nice and clean a water fountain there's a field for soccer.

This park is nice. It has a cool playground and a nice wide open field. Nobody bothers you when it's dark. I like the old sand pit it's funny.

Great park and playground with ball fields, benches and tables, plus play areas for younger and older kids. Not much shade but still very nice.

this was smooth for the fire 🔥 works. i want to go to Niles West ⬅ fire 🔥 work show next year though

Stopped by on a whim. Totally worth it!
We'll maintained. Lots of structures to play on. A few baseball diamonds. Great place to play with a little one.

Place is awesome kind of to modern for my taste but people appreciate fancy. I love more store in Niles but this one is all good too.

Big park with a baseball diamond, field for soccer and football, playground and plenty of street parking. Only downside is the playground being so close to the busy traffic on Foster Ave

So many childhood memories. I wish there were more plants or flowers. The swings are my favorite part of this park.

The new park is great. Different levels of equipment makes it good for toddlers and bigger kids.

This park has been here for years. A great neighborhood park with lots of space to play several sports.

A hidden gem. Never packed! Nice and quiet. My 2 year old and 5 year old always have a blast!
