Bulldog Ale House

I was surprised that there weren't many reviews yet after we finished up considering most of the food options were made in house and very tasty..

Let me start by saying how much I liked having a dark beer on tap versus the obligatory IPA that everyone seems to be on about the last bunch of years. Getting it on the cheap during happy hour was even better.. Bulldog Ale was very drinkable.

Speaking of happy hour, the appetizers were also on the cheap, but there's nothing cheap about them. The poppers were fresh (and unbreaded for those gluten intolerant folks) with a nice heat. The crispy brussel sprouts were sophisticated, and if you're a purist get the sauces on the side. The real star of the appetizer show was the Italian beef egg rolls.. okay it's not authentic but it was juicy and crispy, so tasty. Got a burger (not a pre-formed frozen patty) that was cooked right and was seasoned better than average.

Portions were as expected, the tables were clean, and the music wasn't blasting so I was able to have a normal conversation without shouting. Music was from my generation (ok I'm middle aged) but that too was pleasant and welcoming.

I'll be coming here again as a local, I expect not only for the above but because the ice cream candy shop is across the street.. Sorry BDAH you need to step up the desert game but otherwise a decent addition to the downtown Lansing businesses.

A great dining experience! Our group was so busy talking and took forever to order but the server was very patient with us. Once we ordered, our food was served in a timely manner and was great! I’m not a hamburger person normally, but this was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, no exaggeration! My compliments to the chef. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is cozy. The drinks were good too!

Ordered the Ma burger and my dad had the Baja burger. We left our plates clean! Food was delicious and staff was supper friendly. Place was really nice too!

The food was great....awesome specials easy day & happy hour is a good time to go as well. I enjoyed every aspect of this place!!! Came with a friend and loved it. It's a bit slow but hope they stay in the region!!

The reviews are really disappointing. The food and drinks were amazing. Our server was efficient. She wasn’t rude nor was she over the top. I really enjoyed my experience here and I hope more come in to try it!

Been eating here since it open. Food is Great. The bartender/server was Great. It's nice to see there more help. I hope there's no problems there stocks looks low and there out of some food.

Food is great and love the dessert! They need more beer variety and a better drink menu.

First time dining in. Food was great! Staff was friendly and attentive. 😁The atmosphere was very relaxing. If you want to let the food go down and ur not ready to leave yet. You can always hit up the slot machines. 🤑

First time here food and service amazing shout out to the server Edwin and bartender Kari so friendly and attentive the manager amanda was kind to make sure we were doing good drinks on point and server super fun will be back soon!!

I'm kicking myself for not stopping in sooner. The food here is absolutely incredible, freshly made and bursting with flavor.

We got wings and the mini burgers and were shocked at the quality. The burgers were the highlight of the trip. Freshly made patties and what honestly seemed like home made buns as well.

Definitely going back to this place.

Everything looks great inside, the drinks are awesome, and the service is top-notch! I recommend their crave-worthy garlic fries.

Drinks on the other hand definitely need some help. Tequila sunrise tasted off. Couldn't quite Put my finger on it. Changed it to an absolute and lemonade. Eh, was a little better but not great. Tried a twisted tea. Cooler must not have been cold enough because it was more on the warm side. I'm sure this particular location will get better as all their other locations are great.

I’ve had a couple good experiences at bulldog with ordering the French dip and a second time the barbecue pulled pork
And by the way, the sweet potato fries are awesome however, today I ordered chicken Parmesan and was pretty disappointed. There was hardly any marinara sauce on it at all. There was a little bit on the pasta, but on top of the chicken under the cheese, I could barely see it at all It was extremely dry. So I asked for some marinara sauce, and then I was charged for it. I asked for my salad to go and for the dressing to be on the side and I was shocked when I got the salad to go in the box that had dressing all over it and then I was charged extra for the dressing…? Needless to say, I left it on the table to be thrown away. My son got the chicken tenders and Parmesan fries and he loved it.
