Hermann's Rest A While

Always friendly staff and patrons. Great place to rest a while. By 🚢 🚣‍♂ or 🚗 or 🏍. My go to place while out fishing with the grandkids too. It's the only place they want to go for lunch and to fish the channels getting there. 😀

This place is a hidden gem on the Fox River backwaters, love to hit it on the boat or ice fishing. Fun yard games and great hole in the wall vibe!

Nice little local spot. Nikki our bartender was amazing, attentive and funny. Would definitely go there again when she is working. 😁 Cash bar and they only have frozen za, but you can do delivery.

Rustic neighborhood bar with a easy going, fun atmosphere. Not much more than cold beer, frozen pizza and nice people.

Hermann's rest a while is a small bar in port Barrington. I frequent it during the winter months to ice fish the channels of the fox river right across the street from the bar. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's pretty inexpensive to park in their lot if you want to go out ice fishing. At the end of the day it's nice to warm up at the bar and grab a drink and a bite to eat. I'd suggest some of their homemade chili.

It's a local place, a cash only neighborhood bar. I love it. Drinks are well priced, TV is brand new (ask about the disco ball incident) and they have one of those fancy pants internet jukeboxes.

Moved to Texas but miss this place!

One of our go to stops while out boating. Nice little ride off the river and docking always available. Bloody Mary's are good too!

I grew up in northern Wisconsin, and Hermann's reminds me a bit of the bars up there--reasonably priced tasty food (limited menu) and friendly people.

Real good bacon cheddar burger and French fries.
You can eat outside.

They don't really offer food. It's mainly a small bar. They offer simple drinks and beer.
