Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse

Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse is a one-of-a-kind dining establishment and a Chicago classic. You are immediately immersed in a 1920s atmosphere and embraced with Chicago sports paraphernalia. The kitchen offers delicious food options, spanning from a unique Kansas City strip steak to the restaurant favorite Harry's Chicken Vesuvio.

My experience is one that will never be forgotten. The food was exquisitely prepared, and the service was perfect. I want to personally thank Tweed and Steve for making the experience very special. Tweed (our server for the evening) gave us great menu recommendations, and he has a great personality. Steve was also a pleasure to see, as he served us back in 2019, so it was enjoyable to see a familiar face. Extending my sincerest gratitude.

Again, if you are looking for a special place to dine while in the Windy City, consider Harry Caray's. You may just leave the restaurant smiling and saying, "Holy Cow!"

Our server was absolutely fantastic. The food was delightful. The vibe was exactly what you should want out of a fine dining location with such history to draw upon.
Expect to spend money, this is a place you should. The quality is worth the cost. This is not a foofoo bubble plate for $50 this is a quality meal. Yes, even their baseball cake shell gimmick is fantastic and worth the value.
I really can't praise this place enough.

Great food and service at a reasonable price in the windy city. We had the Calamari appetizer which was very good. The main entree we had was the seafood salad and Kansas steak and corn brulee. All was good but I was surprised at how good the corn was. Our waiter recommended the corn and wow was he right. The steak was cooked to perfection with truffle butter. Our waiter also recommended the key lime pie which is one of my favorite desserts. This was the perfect way to end a great meal.

Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse located at 33 W Kinzie St, Chicago, IL 60654 is a phenomenal Italian Steak Restaurant and Bar! The weight staff have been there for many many years and our experts at what they do. The ingredients use for their meals are top quality and it’s a really great experience to go there. I had their jumbo shrimp appetizer, and the chicken Parmesan. Both were really, really great. Server Carlos was the perfect Waiter - he’s worked there for over 20 years!
Then there’s a history of the place which is simply amazing. I’ve included many pictures of the vault, which is just incredible with the news stories from when they were given. Check it out and by all means eat here! There is a bar in the back which I didn’t eat in, but looked pretty cool too.

Had reservations for 2 and was seated right away, the service from the beginning was amazing. Our main server Juan was super friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended the toasted raviolis and the steak. We ordered both and the eggplant parmigiana. Everything was amazing! Highly recommend all these dishes as well as the brussel sprouts. We also ordered alcoholic beverages which were well served and delicious.

I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Seemed upscale while giving the ability to walk in with a hat on and enjoy a great meal.

The lasagna was really good, one of the best I have had. Just the right enough of sauce and for those of you who don't like sweet sauce it isn't sweet but it isn't bland either.

I'll have try the steak next time but it will be hard to not get the lasagna as it is my favorite dish!

you can NEVER go wrong with harry caray’s! it’s been a favorite of my family’s for quite some time. took my friend here tonight at the peak of dinner time and got sat right away on the bar side. they serve chips right away to snack on and they kept our waters full the entire night. our server (the receipt said katy) was super friendly and attentive. the italian wedding soup is delicious, and i also had the fettuccine alfredo with beef added- also yummy! moscato was good and my friend had rigatoni alla vodka and she loved that as well. the entire staff was welcoming and took great care of us.

The pasta was cooked well, the sauce was tasty and we loved all the steakhouse sides.

We had a great bottle of wine and plenty of food at a reasonable price. Service was very friendly and fun.

Hey guys, just had some amazing Italian food at this cool spot on Kenzie Street. Check out this pic of my huge spaghetti & meatballs (couldn't even finish it all!). And get this - they have a basement under the bar with all sorts of mobster memorabilia, like meeting rooms, vaults, and tunnels. Apparently, they used this building to launder money and make moonshine back in the day. Crazy, right?

Overall, the food was top-notch - their steaks are bomb and the pasta was to die for. Perfect way to end our day exploring all things Untouchable!

We had a corporate group event in the MVP Room/Speakeasy at River North and it was a huge hit. It is such a great venue for a corporate party. I highly recommend this venue and loved working with all of the friendly staff. We have already booked our event for 2024.

First time in a long time where I just enjoyed my company and meal and didn't take a single photo. Every single thing we had was amazing, from the calamari to the creamed corn, the steak and veggies just all chef's kiss!! Our waiter, I believe his name was Steve was excellent and so hospitable. Next time I'm back in Chicago, I will have to make another trip to Harry Caray's.

Edit: Came back in Jan. 2024 for lunch, had the steak salad, lasagna, and of course the calamari and it hit the spot. A must whenever I'm in town.

I had an amazing dining experience at Harry Caray's Italian Restaurant! The ambiance was inviting, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. Each dish was prepared with care and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes – you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to visit again

We had a reservation for Sunday lunch at Harry Caray‘s, but did not realize that the dining room opened for dinner and that our reservation was in the bar. We had a mini family reunion planned and did not want to sit in the noisy, busy bar. The staff allowed us to sit in the dining room all by ourselves! We felt special and enjoyed quiet conversation with our cousin visiting from Germany. A really great, accommodating, and friendly staff. Find Harry Caray’s memorabilia throughout the restaurant- which is something to see. The food and drinks were delicious. Everyone left happy and full! If you’re a Cubs fan… you will love Harry Caray‘s.

Just grabbed a beer to wait out the rain. Bartender was fun! We enjoyed hanging out and would come back if we lived in town. Great memorabilia to enjoy also.

We visited Harry Caray’s this past weekend. I heard a lot of good things about all the other dishes that everyone else ordered, Harry’s calamari, tomato bruschetta, grilled shrimp and crab cakes. But the one that stood out the most to me was the tiramisu. It was THE best I have ever had.

What an absolute gem of a place! This is the kind of place you bring people to show them the best of Chicago! The drinks are great! 9/10 and the steak is 10/10 - Mac and cheese was 8.75/10 and the Brussel sprouts 8.5/10 the ravioli was 9/10 … the service is 10/10 and fast! Totally would come here again and again The best steak is with truffle butter! Keep it up!!!

I came with my colleagues together looking for great food after the whole day training. The restaurant was decorated with 1930s style. The food recommendation was great. The Toasted Ravioli with tomato sauce was crispy and chewy. The BLT Wedge salad was very freshly with crunchy bacons. The New York strip is prepared nicely and perfectly with Medium rare. The side dishes of roasted mushroom and Brussels sprouts are matched perfectly and well prepared. Overall it was a very nice gathering.

Best dinner experience we have had in a long time. The service was above fantastic. Attentive and knowledgeable. Knew what we needed before we did. The food was exceptional. They weren't kidding when they said the sides were shareable. My steak melted in my mouth and was made to perfection. There was not one bad meal at our table. Would definitely return again.

Awesome place! There is the bar side. More laid back bar atmosphere. Tons of memorabilia everywhere. Then the restaurant side is more fancy. I had the chicken Marcella it was absolutely delicious! I loved it. We got mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese for sides. They have Pepsi products. Our service was great. My cousin was in town and she is a huge Cubs fan she was so excited we brought her there.

Welcoming, warm, attention to detail, very experienced and friendly staff. Loved the food; steak cooked perfect💞 and dessert was super yum👌
