Sonesta ES Suites Chicago Waukegan Gurnee

I loved the Sonesta, super caring and sweet staff. Plus the lobby smelled SO GOOD!! The 1 bedroom feel makes the king size suite so homey. Very comfortable and clean rooms(: the kitchenette is very cute, stocked and clean! I'd say one of my happiest times in a hotel! My bf and I stayed 2 nights for a festival and they even helped with directions to the site!

The stay was great. I wish I could remember the young lady that checked us in, bc she was great, very helpful. I was here for my son's Navy bootcamp graduation. The rooms were very nice and spacious, it was plenty of room for my family. The breakfast was really good also. If I had to go back to that area I would definitely stay here again.

This place is a great choice if you're going to Six Flags. The rooms were clean. We got a two bedroom suite and it was super spacious and great for our family. The breakfast was tasty too. The only complaint I have is that the front desk person was a little rude to us when we were coming in to get some pool towels. Oh well, overall, we enjoyed our stay and will likely stay again.

Me and my mom were looking for a affordable hotel near the church where my aunts funeral was being held. We were visiting from Ohio the hotel was affordable, rooms were super clean. Staff was friendly hotel was quiet and family oriented. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast we look forward to staying. Here next we come to visit family again I also wanted add. We felt very safe in the hotel being that we were two women traveling alone!

A great place to stay if you have a sailor graduating Great Lakes, or any other family stay. It's a 10 minute easy drive to the graduation hall, and these folks are set up with all you need. Anchor-hangers for your door, detailed directions of how to get there, and they screen the graduation on the large TV in the lounge, for those extra guests who aren't able to be on the list.
We booked 2 suites, and they put us right next to each other. Perfect.
The staff are outstanding, the beds were the most comfortable we've ever experienced (and that's saying something, we're a diverse bunch with quite different needs). The facilities are great and their breakfasts offer a choice for every different palate/diet.
We left with full hearts and great memories, and can recommend this highly to all families looking for great all-round accommodation 🌺

Stayed for over two months and the staff is just wonderful! They remember specific details about us and always looked out for us. They were always willing to go above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Any issues we had were resolved extremely quickly. The breakfasts are also great!
The gym is very small and there isn't much in the immediate area to do, but it is easy to get a rideshare.

We didn't use a room just the conference room for a meeting. Very clean and modern.
Front desk person was awesome, helpful and friendly!

Beautiful clean, great place to lay your head on vacation. When I ever visit again, it will be right here. The only problem was that the key had to be reactivated twice. It was no fun being locked outside the hotel and having to wait. ALSO, put some water in the pool, please, and open it up.

The hotel had everything we could as for. The workers were super nice. We had the 2 bedroom suite and each bedroom had a bathroom and shower. There's a full kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer. They provide pots and pans (I didn't find a banking sheet but dollar tree helped me there!) Highly recommend and would stay again! Very close to 6 flags (reason for our stay)

Intended on a one-night stay that would be quick and easy. I was impressed by the level of service and quality of the rooms at the price I paid for it. Parking is available, complimentary breakfast is grab-and-go, and the location is decent (looking at reviews of other nearby hotels, this one definitely outdid the others). Hotel staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and customer service-oriented: I was walked through the check-in process carefully and thoroughly and was greeted every time I walked by the desk.
Rooms are nice and spacious. Everything was clean, and they took good measures to ensure proper protocol regarding Covid-19 measures. Only MINOR things that caught me off guard were that the dishwasher had to be unloaded when I arrived, and the heating/cooling systems made a considerable amount of noise from time to time. Other than that, a little bit of traffic noise, but these were just minor things. I'd come back here again in a heartbeat.

I stayed at this location for my brother’s Navy graduation and I’m so happy I did. Staff were friendly, accommodating and gave us directions to the graduation as well as a list of restaurants and things to do close by. The rooms were very clean and spacious and had all that we needed. This location was also 4min away to Sarges Meet and Greet, about 10min away to the NEX to pickup tickets, 12min to the graduation and about 30min from O’Hare airport. Also, Walmart, other retailers and plenty of restaurants within a 1 mile radius.

Such a good place! Firstly the rooms are wonderful and extremely clean. Miriam at the front desk is very personable and kind. I felt really welcomed. The room is perfect, comfortable and homey. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone coming for PIR. There is a kitchenette and you can make your recruit dinner! <3 Thank you so much for the fabulous service.

My experience was good. The rooms we're clean and came with lots of features like a fire place, closet space, kitchen and refrigerator w/h freezer. Very up to date. The only detail that wasn't disclosed to me when registering for the hotel room online was that you have to let them charge an extra $100 on top of your original stay to cover any damages when staying. Once you check out the $100 will be transfered back to your account after about 7 days

Rooms were very clean and it was quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. Close to everywhere we wanted to go.

The customer service was amazing. The location is safe and close to a shopping center. If I ever had to return to Chicago, I would stay here again.

If I ever have a chance of staying here again I will. The staff especially the general manager and assistant GM were wonderful. Due to using points and other complications I couldn't book our stay with the app. I called the property directly and spoke with Jim. He handled everything beautifully. He managed to use two separate sets of points and booked two days while we could stay in the same room for the consecutive nights. When we checked in we found out we were upgraded to the two bedroom suite. It was beautiful...the beds were comfortable and white and fluffy. The bathrooms were clean with an abundance of towels and my request of extra lotions were even fulfilled. We really didn't need to use the fireplace, but heck, why not?!! The housekeeping staff was friendly and the food was very tasty. We were there for Monday and Tuesday when they do the mixer and dinner was just as good as going out. The property was well maintained and the pool was a god send after a day in the heat. Lots of parking even when they were sold out. There wasn't anything bad about this place and I would recommend it to anybody coming to the area.

I stayed here for my son's navy boot camp graduation and the staff were amazing. We had a two bedroom with a kitchn. The rooms were large and nice. The kitchen was a full kitchen. The breakfast could have been better but understandable due to COVID-19 you cannot have the full buffet any long. We had the kitchen anyway so it was not an issue. Will be staying here in a few weeks for my daughters navy boot camp graduation. I had some things delivered the day before and a round the second day of our stay which they called me alwr me know they had arrived. Great place. Thank you for all the help.

Staff was friendly and my room was spotless. For the price I also had a little kitchenette which I didn’t realize when I initially booked but a nice surprise! In a quiet secluded area. They must be working on their signs though because I drove by it twice thinking it was apart of the apartment complexes nearby. No big deal though!

Stayed here for my sons graduation from Navy boot camp. Couldn’t be happier. Room very clean and nicely furnished. There is a nice outdoor area. Complimentary breakfast daily - excellent selections daily cold and hot food. Susan who was in charge of the dining area did a great job making sure it was clean and fully stocked throughout the breakfast hours. Check in - no wait and very easy. Staff all super welcoming and professional. They streamed the graduation live. Let us check out a little later than normal since our flight was later in the day. Hotel close to many restaurants and stores. Although you will need a car. Only draw back - if you are tall the shower might be a little awkward because shower head is low.

Super kid friendly. They catered to our every need and clean. Only complaint is the complimentary breakfast was less then par. With microwave sandwiches sitting on ice leaving them soggy in some areas and hard in others.
