Norway Store

Stopped in for their Easter Buffet. At $12.99 it was a bargain. Everything was hot and delicious. The waitress was very friendly. The store was neat with a pretty big variety of daily needs and some cool gift type items. We will definitely stop again next time through.

The Norway Store was a delightful surprise for me and my husband. The owner, Gabe, his wife and their employees were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We purchased King Crab Legs, Snow Crab Legs, Porterhouse steaks, and T Bone steaks - all at great prices! The store itself is a treat … unique items around each corner, like frozen octopus, handmade birdhouses, a huge variety of fish, and too many others to list! Of course they also have most everything you would expect in a small grocery store .. but so, so, much more! We will definitely be returning again and again 😊

Great little store, breakfast was amazing, the pizza place nearby is good too. Perfect for a quiet getaway, nostalgia and history.

The complete small local grocery in the drive through tourist area. The Norway store has canned goods, bakery, meats and kitchen supplies,not to mention some Norwegian specialties. There are also the amenities for travellers. For local grocery needs or a leg stretch stop for travellers, the proprietor here is friendly and informative.

Steve was a one-man-show while we were there and everything was terrific! Our family ordered scrambled eggs, omelets, french toast and pancakes. Everything was prepared very well and delivered to us quickly. If we lived in the area, this would be a place we would definitely come back to. A GREAT find during our travels!

Loved the store. They’ve Everything one would need at most times especially if you’re on vacation at the nearby resort . No need to long haul over to one of the larger stores in Yorkville or around.
Frisbee and helpful staff / owners. And everything is neatly arranged and perfectly priced..

I live around the corner it's my goto for the quick run. Very inviting when pulling up. The staff is wonderful and im very happy to visit every time.

The kringla is always great. Staff is nice and has a good selection of items in the store.

Love this place! The ladies behind the counter are super nice and there is so many products to look at and purchase. There is a restaurant inside too.

Nice store and friendly. I bought their breakfast sausage twice and it was great. Need to try their restaurant, but I usually don't have much time when I am in the area.

Great staff. Love their meats section, they have exotic meats here like kangaroo and buffalo. Got my goose for Christmas dinner and quail for Christmas Eve. And they can order the meat your looking for if they don't have it. Definitely be going back, and if I still lived in Dalzell I would still make the drive out to here to get what I want.

This place is a local gem! Usually good gas prices. Do yourself a favor and go into the store. Their selection of meats and seafood plus so much more are impressive. This is a great place to stop and stock up or get a meal Whether you are staying at the nearby Holiday Inn Club Vacations Fox River Resort or just passing thru I suggest you check this gem out.

This quirky general store was established in 1848. Today it has a gas station, restaurant, convenience store, and barber shop. I had two trolls (breakfast sandwiches), one bacon one ham. They were delicious. The convenience store had a surprising variety of foods like escargot, frozen sea food, bulk meats and cheeses.

The Norway Store is a lovely, Viking-themed convenience store and gas station with attentive, kind staff and a long family history. It was established in 1848 and is still run by the same family to this day. The floorboards are original and well-kept, and you can find everything you could possibly need, from vices, to produce, to household necessities. They also allow you to donate to the local stray cat rehabilitation project. Finally, they have a quaint little cafe that's reasonably priced, and, in personal opinion, adorable. You won't regret your visit!

Unique store and restaurant with a great variety of specialty Norwegian and Scandinavian goods. Cozy atmosphere with lots of cool vintage decor, old wood plank floors, and lots of history. There was even a barber shop inside the store at one time. Worth a detour if driving by on I-80.

Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Prices at retail store were very high.

Must stop here! Whether you need to get gas or not stop here and walk around inside this historic general store and get something to eat at the restaurant. You'll enjoy the old wooden floors and history pictures on the walls.
