One of the best dinning experiences I've had in a long time. I had the chief's choice with 6 appetizers, a pasta dish and dessert. Everything that was brought to the table was just amazing. If your looking for a romantic night out, make this place your number one stop.

I was in town for work and a client took me to Gaetano's. I consider myself a foodie so he said this was the place to be. Boy was he right. I sat down and was served by the chef/owner himself. He served us some lamb sausage that was to die for! Also the shaved marlin you see in my picture could be the best raw fish I have ever tasted and I love sushi. I ordered their braised short rib and that was fantastic. Last but not least try their burrata. I would make the drive from Milwaukee again just to have his food. He truly is a master at his craft.

Really enjoyed the food, dinks, and the atmosphere! One of my new favorite spots in the tri-cities.

The evening was an amazing experience. The food was delicious, starting with a calamari appetizer, our entrees recommended by our server, Freddy were chef prepared, scallops and short ribs. The dessert of tiramasu was superb. The wines were a perfect compliment. Even the owner stopped by to welcome us. If you enjoy authentic Italian food, this is a must try.

My wife and finally made it here after hearing great things from our friends. Gaetano's didn't disappoint. The food we had was great and service was solid. We'll definitely be back when we're in the mood for Italian (and we can arrange a sitter). I don't think I'd bring our young kids (2 and 4) here (except maybe on the special date night they host once a month) as I don't think they would appreciate the food, but my wife and I really enjoyed everything we had.

Just finished dinner here in a Valentine's day weekend celebration and man I tell you, this is the place to go. I highly suggest doing the tasting menu rather than selecting menu items as you really get a lot of food for the prices listed. We went with the smaller option between 2 people and we were still stuffed (and I pride my eating abilities). The presentation is unreal and the taste tops it all! Highly recommend to anyone for any celebration or special night! The atmosphere is nice and unique and the only downside is how close the tables are next to each other due to the small area for the restaurant. Very cool to be that close to the kitchen especially when they are hand craft tailoring meals to your likes! We will be back and very friendly staff!

A friend gave us a gift certificate, and boy are we glad! The meal was excellent. When you go, the menu varies, and the chef does not disappoint. Most everything is made from scratch, and hand prepared. It comes through in the sauces, meats, and pastas. If you are looking for a unique fine Italian dining, this is the place. Just remember that is is very pricey.

First time coming to this place and all I can say is WOW! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. It was a tad small in space so we requested another table and they accommodated. The food was so delicious and the wine was even better! We got a bottle and they aerated it for optimal taste. After our dinner the waitress recommended we go up to their lounge area. The atmosphere was superb since they brought up our wine, there was live music that night, and was perfect to relax and talk. The cherry on top was when Gaetano himself sat next to us and offered a glass of his wine at the end of the night and thanked us for coming in. We will definitely be coming back here again.

Two years in a row having a pre Xmas eve family dinner here. Food is excellent, service was great. Dirty martini was perfect. We had 9 of us eating here this year and there was not one bad plate in the group. Highly recommend Gaetano’s!

Gaetano's is a gem. Food is out of this world. After ordering, they present the table with homemade bread (still warm) and a hummus-like dipping sauce. I nearly ruined my appetite on this dish alone. Our group ordered dates and mussels to start. While the mussels were not a novel dish, the dates came in a sauce that was incredible (this led to eating more bread to soak up the remaining sauce). The waitress was kind enough to give us a 4th date (the dish usually comes with 3) to make sure everyone at the table had their own. Entrees were fabulous, too. Split the duck risotto (incredible) and a seafood pasta dish. Although small on the inside, they have an upstairs lounge and an outside patio which are charming. Cant wait to return and to make my way through more of their menu!

We just absolutely love this place! We have been here on numerous occasions - from the two of us to a group of 14 - and each and every time it exceeds expectations. The atmosphere, the servers, and of course, the food is all part of a wonderful package that has you leaving with full bellies and happy hearts. I would highly recommend Gaetano's for a weekday night out or a weekend celebration. It doesn't get any fresher or more authentic than this. Chef Gaetano and his wife Wendy are always visible and personable, and the love they have for what they do is unmistakable. Until next time!

Absolutely love this place!!! Not only was the food incredible, the service was top notch. Michael our waiter was fantastic. He handled the entire second floor by himself with the assistance from the busboy. He did this with such ease and professionalism...anyone else would have been frazzled given all that he had to do and had time to tell us the story behind the awesome décor. This was such a great experience! Great food, great service in a very unique atmosphere! We will definitely be back!

The food is beyond delicious, our server was friendly and funny on top of being very knowledgable about the menu and the allergy warnings. The decor is soooo beautiful and unique! I highly recommend this place for a romantic night out in the suburbs!

I've never taken the time to write a review before but, Gaetano's is the very best Italian restaurant I've ever been to!! Literally, every course was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend you check it out if you're looking for homemade dishes that don't come from a can and are packed with flavor

I absolutely love this place. I've never been anything but full and happy. We go here just about every year to celebrate our anniversary. You can tell that the owner takes a lot of pride in the restaurant and it shows in every detail. This restaurant is also very community oriented. Verita' gives back and invites in community members. For example, the custom made stair backs were created by Batavia residents!

I keep coming back because of the attention to detail and the quality of the food - but it makes the experience even richer to see how much the restaurant reaches out to the community.

I highly recommend doing a tasting, and don't miss the carpaccio di Kobe - as it is one of my favorite things I have ever tasted on earth.

the food here is to die-for! Everything is delicious from the crab cake and seafood soup to the pear salad or beet salad to the exquisite chicken al fungi (like chicken marsala but better) to the pasta with shrimp and chicken to the short ribs (tastes like Christmas, so good!). I honestly have never had better Italian food and I've eaten many places. Their pasta is all home-made and you can taste the difference! The atmosphere is very pretty and upstairs, it feels like you're in a magical place. Check their schedule for live music.

This is one of my favorite restaurants, for excellent food, service and ambiance. Gaetano's is a dining experience not soon forgotten, especially if you order a tasting, which is a phenomenal treat. We are so blessed to have this fine restaurant in Batavia.

I'm so excited to have found this place. Living in Naperville, it's easy to get trapped in the downtown Naperville bubble of restaurants we can walk to, but my wife and I were looking to try something different/outside our area and were in the mood for Italian. Reviews looked good so we gave it a try. As first timers, EVERYTHING on the menu looked good and we didn't want to make decisions. Chef's tasting menu to the rescue! And don't be fooled, the "four course" grand tasting menu is more like 14 courses. You get tastes of 6 appetizers (course 1), a pasta+risotto course (course 2), a meat+fish course (course 3) and a dessert course consisting of 4 desserts (course 4). Add it up, that's 14 different dishes. And they are all amazing (but reaching the end is a test of endurance, to be sure). To top it off, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. We will be back for sure, but may have to order ala carte next time - but rest assured, there is huge bang for your buck on that tasting menu.
