El Taco Grande

Febrero 3, 2024 Surfsontrees and I walked to El Taco 🌮 Grande for the first time to enjoy a rewarding meal 🍽 after a good exercise.

As soon as you enter there is a cool tequila bar where you will meet with your waiter to guide you to your seat into their beautiful art and culture inspired atmosphere. I especially fell in love with their chairs 🪑 because each one was different.

The food was fire 🔥 fuego delicious 🤤 major appreciation to the chef who created two massive burritos 🌯 which definitely gave us a lot for left overs. The diablo 😈 burrito 🌯 hawt hawt hawt but dang great meal.

The horchata was so rich and milky along with a dash of cinnamon. Along with engulfing in their chips and salsa. I loved every bite. 🌶 If your in the area schedule a meal for your own personal experience at this cool place. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. Thank you so much. 😊

Twas the night before Christmas Eve and I was left with all the last minute procrastinator Christmas errands. I decided to go grab a mid shopping spree margarita and found myself at El Taco Grande. Before I knew it I was multiple margaritas and taccos deep and it was just me.....the atmosphere is sooooo cozy and authentic, down to the perfect lighting. As an avid margarita drinker, I totally approve. I like my margaritas to have a purpose "enough tequila" while still tasting delicious. This restaurant delivers just that. I enjoyed some vegetable and avocado tacos to even out and was pleasantly satisfied. The service was perfect. Everyone was so sweet and respectful and attentive but not annoyingly, they where all amazing. Upon walking in, one of the staff held the door open for me with a warm welcoming. I will be returning!!

I absolutely love this place. I come here all the time and it never disappoints!! 😊 the rice is absolutely amazing!!!

Nice little restaurant along the Fox River in Batavia Illinois with a very nice atmosphere. Food and service was very good.

Best authentic Mexican food!!! Well worth every penny... I ordered the Bull burrito which was HUGE!! The steak was so tender and juicy. They use the best quality of meat I've had at a Mexican restaurant. Overall they are my new favorite place... Looking forward to the next time if only they weren't 45 minutes away from me. The service was great and we enjoyed talking the owner who makes a great margarita 😍

Great service, great food. I had the Cactus Salad with Grilled Chicken. I added the Chipotle hot salsa on top. Delicious 😋

Delicious Mexican restaurant. One of the best places to eat in Batavia!

Finding this place is a little difficult because it’s basically in a basement unit that is below a clothing boutique. It’s at the corner of Wilson and River Street so if you see the archway, then the restaurant is located to the bottom right.

The portions of their Mexican dishes are very large (which is great) and their tequila is super tasty 😋 so I highly recommend giving this place a try. 👍👍

Love this place. If you want authentic Mexican food with superior service this is the place for you. Food is always fresh and you can tell they take pride in their dishes. And if you like margaritas, you can't find a better one! Highly recommended!

Love this place and make sure I always get to eat here wherever I'm in the US. Delicious authentic Mexican food, great Margaritas and lovely, friendly and attentive staff make for an excellent evening!

The food is amazing !!! The decor inside reminds me of my childhood back in Mexico and the servers are all so nice and quick with everything! Me and my boyfriend always come here every weekend and the tortas there are HUGE ! I always surprise myself whenever I finish it lol, I definitely recommend this place for anyone that’s ever in a mood for good quality Mexican food! :)

One of our favorite go to places for great food and service.

The food was good! I had the hibiscus margarita. It was beautiful and tasty. Tons of options on the menu. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The entrance is below the sidewalk. Look for the awning.

Just had the Zapata dinner, which is on the limey/tangy side, with a jalapeno margarita and it was fabulous! Also tried the chicken burrito, which was also very tasty. Will definitely be returning to this resto!

Very quaint Mexican restaurant with an authentic vibe. The manager/owner was friendly and welcoming as was the rest of the staff. The food was delicious. The portions were huge! Great customer service. If we didn't live so far away this could easily be our go to place.

I have been there countless times. The food is always hot and perfectly prepared! Steak Fajitas are unbelievable delicious! Lastly the whole made chips and Margaritas are way too much! Just writing this review makes me want to go right now!

I have been coming to El Taco Grande for at least 20 years. It was so fun watching this family run business grow up - kids and all! The food is always delicious and hot! Their homemade salsa is a flavor memory for me and it’s what other Mexican restaurants are judged by. Even though the original owners have sold the business, their essence is everywhere. And most importantly, the food is still the same! Yum!

The Steak Torta is to die for! I've frequented there throughout the years and always order the same thing. It was a nostalgic feeling to not see any of the original owners or their sons at the restaurant. The atmosphere is still the same and the food but the staff has definitely changed. Still would highly recommend
