I hired Mr. Hunter approximately three years ago. My family has known Mr. Hunter for a long time and he has assisted us in the past. When I was faced with a legal battle, he was instinctively the first call that I made. He handled the case just as I expected, perfectly. He was always present and prompt to Court and always made a point to take additional time to answer my questions and to ensure that I clearly understood what had occurred. Every time my case was in front of the Judge, Mr. Hunter always took the time to either call or meet with me personally to explain all of the possible outcomes, which truly lowered my stress level throughout the entire ordeal.

I never had any issues with his fees or his billing and he was always more than willing to meet with me personally to discuss any questions or concerns that I had relative to the billing. I always knew what was going on with my case because not only did he send me copies of all of the documents that he filed and papers from court but he also always sent me a letter informing me of what had been filed or completed on my case. It was those continual updates that reassured me that everything would be ok in the end.

It goes without saying that I have recommended and continue to recommend Mr. Hunter to all of my friends and co-workers. He is well-prepared and always had my best interest in mind and he got me the result that I wanted. I hope that I never need another attorney but if I do, Mr. Hunter is the first call that I will make.

Good Attorney

Unfortunately, I would not call this office although they seemed very nice, the secretary explained to me, that Mr. Hunter is in the midst of retiring, and not taking any more cases

My mother was wrongfully accused of an incident that happened in her self licensed daycare whom she's run for 26 years. The incident had no evidence and no facts. DCFS was out for blood as that is what they do best.

My mother chose to hire this attorney Thomas Hunter, I as her son chose to help my mom by getting a $2000 loan to cover the start up fees for him to take her case. At first there was light and hope, then this attorney Thomas Hunter not only continued to charge my parents thousands of dollars with nothing to show as far as progress or information toward the status of my Mom's case.

Excuses and claims that he was at the mercy of how long DCFS would process the case was all my parents kept hearing, weeks if not months would go by and this attorney continued to extort money from my parents.

In present conclusion, now this lawyer wants another $5000, my mom can no longer afford to pay. Family has helped and given everything we can to prove her innocence.

If you are someone who has had a great experience with this attorney and his firm, you must have deep pockets or any easy case to fight. Money is what keeps this attorney fat and wealthy, not his concern or empathy for his clients. My mom may very well lose her day-care, DCFS will win, and another innocent person will fall victim to how poor our justice system and greedy heartless attorneys like this man are.

Thomas Hunter dropped my mother from his service because he says that she could never afford him.... again it's all about the money. He is also sensitive to be called out on his poor reviews, which is the other reason he dropped my mom.

It's a true fact.....in the beginning it's about helping people.....in the end it's about how much you have to pay to get that help.

In my opinion: One star is actually extremely generous. Tom was opposing counsel on a post decree matter in which my ex and I were amicably resolving. He is a "pot-stirrer" and likes to churn the bill by filing frivolous nonsense and authoring correspondence that is just short of obnoxious. As most would roll their eyes and say--well, this is the opposing side's review, I can whole heartedly say that even in my predecree, I recommended my ex's attorney over my own, as he was a better litigator (Michael Poper is an awesome atty!). If I was going to give my best friend an opinion of this Hunter, I would tell her that he is a greasey, rude, paper pusher who will tactically paper the case until the money runs out. Again, this is just my opinion, but I would run the other way and find anyone else or be Pro Se.

this man is the worst attorney I have ever been involved with! he practices family law and is totally unprofessional, unorganized, unresponsive, and way over priced. he has a bad case of dandruff and cares about nothing but money. when you challenge his charges he blames his billing people and takes no responsibility. I told him that when I hired him , he worked for me, and he said are you threating me? I really mean 0 stars! this man should be held accountable for his incompetence and repremand by the Bar Association.

Talk about being able to drag out a divorce case until both parties are broke he has a five, his appearance and hygiene does lack a lot and I give him a 1/2 star. Comes in unprepared and doesn't give the proof ups until last minute.
