Great feedback on a PPI and they were quick to get it in. Would have liked to see a better report than just written as notes in the receipt, but they gave me an excellent verbal report and that what worked for me. Highly recommend.

They are the most honest shop, I have ever came across.

They tried talking us out of putting parts on a vehicle. I have never experienced that before. Usually it’s let’s toss everything including the kitchen sink at the problem. It’s only money……

Anywhere else would have been a couple thousand dollar list in parts aka the needs and or suggestions as I call it to drive up the bill. Not here.

I have a story of a bran new truck sitting at the dealership for 3 weeks and they only tired once to recreate the problem!!!!! One time…I told them when exactly it did it and they did the exact opposite. Dealer never did fix it.

This company multiple times over 2 days because they wanted to solve it for us. I could see the frustration they couldn’t replicate the issue. They care!!!!

I can’t recommend Lake Barrington Motor sports enough. They earned a customer for life. All of their employees I have met are just really nice and pleasant to talk to too. . From the office to the mechanics. You won’t find a better repair shop or place for advice.

I won’t recommend companies unless I am 100 percent sure about them. I am a picky sob, when it comes to me giving out a referral because now it is my name too. I have been burned by peoples suggestions (including friend’s) who didn’t properly vet whomever they were recommending. It’s a pet peeve of mine.

A month or so back my neighbor needed an older euro sports car she was looking to buy inspected/advice. I was like without a doubt Lake Barrington Motor sports. She spoke very highly of Tom and LBMS when she messaged me to thank me. She was like they are just absolutely awesome. I was like, this is why I recommended them.

So very happy to have found them. From the first contact with Shelby at the front desk to Tom and the rest of the technicians working on my car, it was an outstanding experience.

The facilities are very clean and everybody is courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful. While I know they work on many types of cars (Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, etc), Tom is consistently rated in the top three Mercedes techs in the country, from my understanding.

All this and the service fees are significantly less than the dealers. I'll definitely be bringing all of my cars here from now on.

Very knowledgeable, honest work done, and with a friendly staff. Take your classic car to these folks and know it will be treated right. It’s refreshing to find a shop that takes pride in their work and is not just about chasing your dollars.

Pete and the team are always great. They sort out what needs to be fixed and what does not. I never have to question their advice or workmanship.

I’ve had a dynamite experience with LBM since the day it opened. I put up a lot of miles and see them every 2-3 months. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. If you’re looking for a top notch mechanic, I always recommend Pete and his team. They’re so professional and intelligent about the cars they service. They treat their customers well!
