Had the most amazing experience! The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable! I brought my 1 year old here because we were having a hard time finding shoes that fit. He had multiple options to pick from and all of them fit! I am definitely recommending all my mom friends to check it out!

Doug runs the place and he is great! Extremely knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for helping folks find their fit. We came in with our 8 month old and almost 2 year old. Doug is incredibly patient with children, and has a good sense of humor about things. Highly recommended and we will be back!

Edit: Came back 3 months later and have purchased an extra 5 pairs of shoes for the kiddies (growing fast)! Doug is now in a new location but still great service (but now with improved interior!). Can't reccomend him enough and will be a repeat customer so as long as I'm in Chicago-land

This was my first visit and exploration of Tootsies and what a great little gem this place is! Lisa who was in charge of the store this morning was delightful - respectful and attentive, smiling with her eyes from behind the mask:). Wonderful experience and I walked away with an amazing pair of comfortable winter boots!

Great place to get quality shoes for little kids. Doug was really great. He was patient and kind to our toddler and helped him find shoes that he liked, that fit well.

Went here for a 1st pair of walking shoes for my little guy. Very helpful, knowledgeable owner/operator who took the time to explain the differences between infant/toddler walking shoe brands and fitment. Left feeling great about the footwear we purchased for our 10-month old son(who is beginning to take his 1st unassisted steps)!!

Great experience! I needed to buy a sturdy pair of sandals for my toddler. I stumbled upon this place after a search for Stride Rite shoes.

The two ladies that were working were very friendly and helpful. It would have been an almost in and out trip ,but my daughter liked them so much. Lol

They have a great selection of shoes and it's definitely worth going there to get shoes for your child instead of having to waste your time ordering shoes online, crossing your fingers they will fit okay.

This is a great business to support. Sorry I didn't find them sooner.:)

Great quality shoes and the customer service was outstanding. My son is usually sensitive and overwhelmed when trying something new, but the young lady helping us helped him feel comfortable. He walked out of the store with a big smile on his face!

This store was AWESOME with my 15-month old in finding his first pair outdoor of walking shoes. They were so knowledgable with how the shoes should fit and had a nice variety of shoes that would work for his first outdoor steps!! So happy to buy local from place with such great customer service!

Great experience and customer service! My son has very tough feet to fit and I would highly recommend this place as the owner took the time to fit him into the perfect fitting shoes. Too hard to buy kids shoes online as they all fit so differently!

People make all the difference and Tootsies gets it. Three employees welcomed my three year old daughter and I as we arrived last Saturday on an adventure to buy her new “running shoes” - she likes to run like her mom! The woman who helped fit her and pick out her shoes made it a very special daddy/daughter memory. She is still talking about all the shoes they brought out to let her try on and all the colors to pick from. Thank you and we will be back for sure.

What a gem in downtown Arlington Heights! Recently , I brought in my 14 month old grandson for his first pair of walking shoes. Our little guy was fascinated by the store itself and had no problem walking in the new shoes the owner helped select for him. Everyone left happy...

Buy your baby shoes here. Customer service is top notch. We purchased a pair of Tsukihoshi at this location and we are super happy with them. Ask for Gail, she gives very good customer service!

First shoes for our first grandchild. My family has been in the shoe business for many generations, so this was a very important day!! Tootsies made me very comfortable with their knowledge and selection. Highly recommended!!

Where do you go for personal help in figuring out what size shoe a young child needs? Tootsies is the place.
We’ve brought our granddaughter to Tootsie’s Shoes twice, and twice Gail has helped us. In a store with product for infants to adults, Gail handles it all. Our grandbaby, Mila, did not want her feet measured—no problem. Gail brought out shoes she thought were the right size. Gail distracted Mila with pink bracelets so Gail could check the fit; .correct on the first try! We left with two cute pairs of shoes—one for every day and one for “party.”
The store had several customers, and Gail was great with everyone. She was attentive to all, remained calm, friendly and smiling even thought she had a lot to do.
We went back a couple of months later to see if Mila had grown out of her current shoes. Again, Gail worked her magic to check the fit, and Mila still had room. Gail was not going to sell us a pair of shoes before the shoes were needed.
We are now devoted customers, total fans of Gail, and will only go to Tootsies when Mila needs shoes.
