Nick was so welcoming when I made an appointment to get my car checked out, and any issue that I brought up, he made sure to explain to me in detail what was happening and the solutions available. I had such a good experience here, and when it was time to pick up my car, Nick was willing to stay past hours to wait for my arrival. This is such a kind, honest, and compassionate company and I will recommend them to everybody and anybody!

Nick and his father are a rare breed. They are honest, knowledgeable and patient. I felt at home talking with them as if it was family member who cares. I was 100% safe and secure with the recommended repair process. They were completely on board with explaining everything and most importantly can relate and emphasize with the customers. The best around. If only more people were as great as this local staple in the community.

Highly recommend! Very friendly staff. Excellent fair pricing. It's kind of a small shop so sometimes it takes a few days to get in but they do quality work and are honest about what needs to be done. Have taken my vehicle there several times and never had a bad experience. If you call you'll probably have to leave a message.

Absolutely amazing. Words can't explain how great nick and his dad our Absolutely love taking my car there. They always go above and beyond there's no words to describe this place its honestly the best shop throughout mchenry. I don't know where else I would even recommend going other then there.

Finding a good mechanic is hard. Nick with Nye Auto helped me fill in my knowledge gaps over the phone to understand why my F250 was running a certain code and what the options were to remedy it. Better yet, he saved me an unnecessary visit which is the hallmark of a good doctor, car or human. They'll definitely have my business from now on!

Knowledgable and above all honest mechanics, Nye auto dr is a two man band, father and son duo with many years of experience, so no need to worry that new hands are touching your car these guys know what they are doing seen it all and dont hire cheap newbee workers to work for them, they do all the work them selves.
The best part is that they are very honest and wont steer you to make unnessessary repairs.
When calling around for estimates they tend to be either the same cost or cheaper than most local shops.
If you have car troubles do your self a favor and take your car to these guys you wont be disappointed.
