I was unable to walk with both my knees with bone on bone plus arthritis. The knowledge he gave me was amazing. He did not treat me as a nurse (retired) but made me feel confident and relaxed from day one. I would for total knee replacement recommend him immediately! The whole experience was right on to what he said. He is awesome!

Everyone was very friendly. Dr. Angerame was very helpful. Explained everything and showed me what is causing my pain.
Will be going back for the shot in the hip to hopefully help my issue otherwise will be doing surgery. Keeping my fingers crossed

Dr. Marc Angerame. IS AWESOME. I have suffered with severe knee bone on bone, pain for years. So bad it caused me to be bow legged. I had so many knee gel injections, knees drained by other ortho Doctors, I lost count. I finally retired, and on 2-23-24 after watching Dr. Angerame podcast on knee replacement surgery, reviewing his credentials, and meeting him got my left knee replacement surgery. From my first appointment, he reassured me & my wife , I'll be better. He was CORRECT. His calmness, confidence, taking time before, after surgery, treating me and my wife like part of a family. 3.5 months now, I'm so so happy.

I am extremely happy with the care Dr. Marc Angerame gave me during my recent knee replacement surgery. Beforehand he explained all that I would encounter and took time to answer all my questions and fears. Prior to surgery he ordered all the meds I would need and was so detailed about all I would have to do. The day of surgery he was kind and considerate and gave me a positive outlook on my future. It’s almost 3 weeks post surgery and I’m doing exceptionally well. My range of motion is really good and will continue to improve. He is a wonderful doctor and I would refer him to all who need a great doctor. Thank you Dr. Angerame and all his staff in Barrington and Genoa City.

Dr. Marc Angerame is hands down the best surgeon for a knee replacement. Did my left knee in Dec. 2023, and we're scheduling my right knee for fall 2024! Great bedside manner; explains everything and why they're doing it.

I went through every treatment except surgery for my right knee pain; injections, PT, a right arthroscope with little to no improvement. Dr. Angerame had done my arthroscope a year ago, so I went back to him and asked" What do I do now?" He recommended a right total knee replacement which I had on 3/9/23. I am now three weeks post op. The pain is reduced, I don't need a walker or cane, and I'm walking with a lot less pain. I have followed his directions for healing to the letter. Still in PT. Getting better every day! The whole team doctors and nurses were amazing. They thoroughly explained everything that was going to happen in the surgery. Also, they answered any and all questions that I had. I would definitely go back to them again if I had any other issues.

Dr. Angerame took the time to clearly walk me through what needed to be done. He also took the time to listen to all my "what abouts..." and "can we dos...". He is open to accommodating what he can and explaining why the processs is what it is when he can't. When there were issues that arose, he and his team move very quickly to resolve them. So 1 hip down and two knees to go.

Dr Angerame was very good. Explained preop and post OP procedure. I felt very comfortable with him. Is very knowledgeable. I feel confident my surgery will be a success.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Angerame for several years now. He did both of my knee replacements. His kind caring manner and his incredible knowledge about knees put me at ease from the very first visit. If you are looking for a great orthopedic Dr. who specializes in knees or hips, I highly recommend Dr. Marc Angerame.

I had a right total hip replacement performed by Dr. Angerame. The outcome greatly exceeded my expectations. He is an excellent orthopedic surgeon, meticulous, thoughtful and answered all of my questions thoroughly. No matter how busy he is, he always takes as much time as is needed. The office staff and nurses are exemplary, efficient and always very helpful. I have seen many doctors over the years and two of them stand out as being exceptional. One was many years ago and the other one is Dr. Angerame. If he is your doctor, consider yourself very fortunate. He is the best! This type of doctor is few and far between. Thanks Dr. Angerame!

At the time of my initial visit with Dr Angerame, he presented confidence in my diagnosis and the surgical plan to help. He was very clear and concise with what I should expect and he was spot on. Immediately following surgery he reviewed findings with me and my family and again reviewed the post op plan. He has walked me through everything and based on my pain prior to surgery and now, he has given me my life back!!!!! Such a skilled surgeon with an exceptional bedside manner !!!

Dr. Angerame is a spectacular orthopedic surgeon! He diagnosed my fractured pelvis and set the trajectory for my successful recovery. He is an excellent communicator explaining my injury with drawings, x-rays, and MRI results. Once Dr. Angerame got involved in my case, he was a breath of fresh air providing me with the peace of mind that I really needed during recovery.

Dr was very down to earth in language we could understand did not want to do work I would not need and referred us to the clinic I would need to have to help me. I would refer him to others with pain. Great!!!

Dr. Angerame came very highly recommended to me by a good friend who has had nothing but excellent things to say about him regarding his care and treatment of her during her two separate knee replacements surgeries and recovery periods. Dr. Angerame examined my knee more thoroughly than any other of the knee doctors I had personally and previously seen from groups other than IBJ of Illinois. While my situation is unique, Dr. Angermane did provide unique alternatives to help me with my knee pain. Unfortunately, we both arrived at the same conclusion that due to my medical situation, these alternatives would not work for me. I found Dr. Angerame to be a very open, honest and caring professional whom I'd absolutely recommend to anyone.

Once again Dr Angerame was able to get me in and address my problem with my shoulder in a quick and timely manner. He is always concerned and thoughtful when doing his exams. Tops in my book!

Appreciate how concerned staff is protecting from infection. I heard of a person who spent 10 days in hospital because an infection turned into a blood clot. I had a quick recovery.

Dr. Angerame has been working with me for about 18 months. He diagnosed bone on bone osteoarthritis in my right knee in 2022. I started with cortisone shots, but my third shot provided little relief. I then decided to have total knee replacement on 9/14/23.

Dr Angerame and his entire staff are incredibly professional and highly responsive. They’re a caring and positive team filled with smart and friendly people. I’m now 7 days after surgery and my rotation is already 120 degrees. I can do stairs, and use both my walker and my cane around the house. I would recommend Dr. Angerame to anyone. He’s a very talented and caring surgeon, with an amazing staff!

I damaged the cartilage in my hip resulting in bone on bone rubbing that you could hear when I walked, click, clack, clunk. I went to see Dr. Marc Angerame at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute and he diagnosed that and said the only real solution would be a full hip joint replacement. I was in a high level of pain and lacked mobility prior to the surgery. When I got to the hospital, I needed a wheelchair to get to my hospital room. The surgery was successful and two hours after I had been returned to my hospital room, a physical therapy technician got me up with a walker in the hallway. To be honest I cried a little while walking for the first time with my new hip and the physical therapy technician asked me if it was hurting? I said no, I had no pain, that I hadn't walked that fast in months, and that these were tears of joy. I was released the next day and used a cane to get into my car. I was given physical therapy exercises to do at home which I subsequently diligently did them. Two days after getting home I stopped using the cane and two weeks after the surgery I stopped taking all of the prescribed surgical medications. I told Doctor Marc Angerame that he needed to add onto his biography "Miracle Worker" as the improved mobility with no pain to me was a miracle. It's now been eight weeks since the surgery and to be honest, both of my hips/legs feel the same and except for the scar, I wouldn't know I had an artificial hip implanted in me.
